Men don't know what to say. Mine would be 30 days on Thursday. I think you should send an email to them with your details. If you submitted via drop box, you need to quote your reference nos. My friend on this thread sent them an email and they replied promptly contrary to what people believe.

But you can wait for two more weeks before sending them an email so you wont be too forward as you might get a feedback soon. Patience is a good virtue.

CDHC has a way of verifying things. They have all the time and resources to do so.

If you dont have your birth certificate, dont bug yourself about that. There are other options like declaration of age and Lagos mainland local government, Health and Environmental Services Department (This carries you name, age, when and where you were born, you mothers age infor occupation etc and your father age infor occupation address, your mother's maiden name and other infor) This is the type that I have but it was done years back so I dont know if its still being issued and the process.  My parents actually processed it back then as my birth cert was missing. It has an issue number, volume nos and Native birth bla bla. It was given at Ebutte Metta.

This life is not as difficult as people perceive it to be. I was scared too when I was told that I had to go to my state for State of origin certificate. But I went to my State laison office here in Lagos. They processed it here and I got it here. You can also get State of origin cert and add to whatever docs u use as your birth certificate. You can even go to the Local government of the area where you stay for a letter of reference or introduction.

There are some things that you use your discretion for. Everybody has a unique application. CDHC evaluates everything. Its not about packing a million documents but showing whoever is evaluating you in 5mins your intentions and your value. I think you should channel your stress to convincing them you are the right material and get alternative docs to a birth cert. Time is even running out for u to delay your application based on birth certificate.

Nothing is impossible with God. Have faith.

That even reminds me, you are submitting your Police report, international passport and credentials that carry your age and infor which they can verify. Why are u insulting CDHC. Trust me, they can deduce.
