Dis Guy:I am the first person so they dont have documentation on Letter of Sponsorship for study. I was able to sketch something though since everyone abadoned me here. But its the study leave letter that I dont know how to draft. Is it even necessary since my sponsorship letter is explicit enough |
Hello House, Please I need help with a sponsorship letter and study leave format or template or sample. Thank you |
@eky 102 You have to also check the college that is very good in your choice of program. |
eky102:@eky 102 The truth of the matter is this. Often times we have answers to our questions at our fingertips or with the help of the web but we just want that extra assurance or someone to be accountable to us. Selecting a school for you is like giving you peanuts but we can teach you how to fish. Go on rankings, research the schools, go on facebook look for current students or graduates of the colleges or Nigerians that have attended these schools and find out the impact of the schools on them. You can even send them messages to find out more about the school. Some colleges have success stories or reputable alumnus, check what they are into. Check the curriculum and standard of teaching. The answers would be found that way. If I pick a college for you now and its not the right fit for you, I will be accountable for that but you know your abilities, strengths and weakness so choose wisely by doing your research and please no sentiments. |
@ Dannyflex001 You have money oh. Marple is so freaking expensive and that $2000 payment when someone is being called for medicals is unrealistic. So you would pay One hundred and fifty thousand naira plus two thousand dollars. That some peeps school fees and your travelling ticket money could have come out of that too. Thumbs up dear Best of luck no hard feelings! |

@ tosin Wow, hope my company will accept all this lol. It is well. I'll work it out somehow. Thank you very much for your response I appreciate it. And hopefully or rather see you soon. Happy Holidays |
tosinosho1992:@ tosin Its a limited liability company. Its a tax consultation company incharge of akwa-ibom, delta and now included Kogi State internal revenue service, easyreg as in car licensing, land ( like LIRS that gives cards for tax clearance). It has an MD and 4 directors. I was thinking of A sponsorship letter from the company, A study leave letter, companys bank statement, tax clearance, companies registration papers. I dont even know the documents that a limited liability has or not (should have paid more attention to commerce in secondary school), lolz I dont wanna push too much cos they are just doing me a favour, usually they dont give study leave so I am the first so I need to be reasonable with my demands. So what do you think? |
Greetings loved ones. Please for sponsorship from the office, what documents does the office need to submit? Secondly, how does the Canadian High Commision expect a company to release its original Certificate of incorporation, can't they collect certified copies or photocopies. Thanks |
@ chy chy Babes u ans questions half and half. Did you pay full tuition? Did you pay half? Did you pay before visa application or during visa application? Thanx for your previous response. |
@ chy chy You said something about paying tuition fees to your school, was it the full tuition or half? Did you pay before your visa application or during? Conestoga college states that your program HR is one year but you said 6 months please clarify for me. Congrats again. |
@chy chy Babes show off your victory and success by telling us when you applied etc. That way, we hopefuls can learn and observe. Congrats dear. |
@ all I know this sounds lame but please can you specify how many forms and names of forms to be filled out for the Study permit application. Is it better to download it from the Canadian website for Canada or Canadian website for Naijas ( .i.e. Canadian High Commision, Canada or Canadian High Commision, Nigeria Region) Happy Easter Hols Y'all |
@Chy Chy I was actually asking about your visa processing and updates and not school but the info was ok only you didnt elaborate on the study permit visa. |
@chy chy Next month is early, when does your class start and when did you apply for your visa. details!!! |
@eky 102, I will go with Seneca College (not becos of sexy divas though lolz but because of the reputation of the college, career prospect and programs) Then if Seneca doesnt click, I will try Humber College. If its for IT related try Lamton College Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Professional (Its expensive but damn major job prospects). Some universities also have PGD or pre masters program, you might wanna research that as well. |
@ ayoalade et all, This Certificate of Origin or State of Origin Certificate that peeps are submitting for their study permit application, is it compulsory as I dont have mine and didnt even know its existed till recently. My State is far O and I cant leave work for such processing as I want to be in their good books so I can get Employment letter etc. Thanks |

Please the whole house needs to buy a bottle of the most expensive wine for Ayoalade. Ayoalade has done tremendously well, for your time, sweat, contributions and intelligent discourse. Thanks bro or sis (sorry dont know your sex) God will meet you at your point of need as you want others to prosper and meet you in Canada as well. Luv u sweets. @house, Can a police report be gotten anywhere or there is a specific Police Station to get a police report for Canadian visa. |
TOO MUCH DETAILS EDITED FOR PRIVACY ![]() |
@love king You said you want to Rule the World and Marry all Nairaland Girls. www.havebettersexnow.org. Lolz. that website doesnt exist. hiss. Focus on Canada!!! |
@isso savvy I also have an admission to SAIT and I love the school. Is your program a bachelor degree, diploma, certificate or continuing education. Bank statement is also my concern. So I have decided to be tactical and not illegal by borrowing money from friends and family and putting it in my mothers salary account for a while before applying. I also will pay full tuition as its an 8months certificate program so its not as costly as the usual tuition that peeps pay. That way, what they need to see is just accomodation and feeding money in the account. I can't shout. Then my letter of intent, letter from the office and other docs would impress them, I pray. Everything is about packaging, uniqueness and authenticity. So work hard towards a solution and dont give up. |
MAN IU:@man iu, Yes you can use a PGD to proceed to a masters program depending on your course. For example if you are doing a PGD in Human Resources at Humber College, you would start your application process to University of Toronto for Masters in Human Resources when you are doing your PGD at Humber. Only that the masters program would have a grade requirement to qualify. Some colleges that do PGD have affiliated Universities and they can help you apply to Universities but I think you have to do very well like a B in your grades. I think Humber has a link with York University. The essence of a PGD is for people to upgrade their first degrees (i.e 2:2) and in some lucky cases, get jobs with the PGD. The good thing is you would be in the system by then so you can go to the Universities yourself for further enquiries and the career service or international office of Humber would help you. So you are at an advantage. Check the web page of your proposed program at Humber, they should have course or career progression or transfer options to other universities after your program. |
@ACCA I think you should put a stop to your visa application for now. You can apply ending of March. You need to find out from the experienced contributors of this thread or people who are already in Canada about your chances with ACCA. Dont worry the points I highlighted for you for a letter of intent can be used for any programme of your choice that you pick. So at this junction it pays to be patient as rome wasn't built in one day. I understand the mad rush to apply for visa but at the same time, you want things done properly so that you wont take the wrong stairs. It is well TGIF, you can take a chill pill with your fiancee this weekend, show her that you wont depart from her for so long, lolz |
@ alikote, Lambton college sent me my admission package since January through DHL. Contact Kurtis Gray via email Kurtis.Gray@lambton.on.ca @Kunle 93 I was admitted to an institute of technology in Alberta to do an IT program (my first desire) I just applied to University of Alberta and University of Lethbridge for their Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems as a second degree and I am still awaiting their decision |
ACCA 247, lol at I also have a commited relationship with my fiancee and I cannot depart from her for long. lolz Im sorry I like laughing a lot and I am a clown. Is this your letter of intent? You seem to have too many reasons for going and coming back to Nigeria as well. Let your letter of intent have a pattern. You need to list out the important point and build on it. 1) Your Company: You run your fathers business or your business. Explain your job description and specialization briefly and what ACCA would help innovate ur company. 2) Nigerian economy: lacks skilled workers and as such respects foreign degrees. That would make your business more strategic as you will be merging a developed countries experience and facilities of business which would help out compete your rivals. 3) Your reason for picking Canada, what makes it stand out from other countries, the location of the college etc 4) The standard of the college, curriculum, top notch faculties and you are going to meet people from different countries like a mini united nations bla bla. 5) Self Actualization, your passion for accounting has always existed since your childhood thats is reflected in you able to handle your fathers business without prior knowledge in accounting. You should just explain your commitment in Nigeria and how you have to carry on your father's legacy. then u can write all ur first born stuff but please only relevant and precise details. Dont make it too bulky. Just pick good points. You better marry your fiancee before you go. Even if its a court wedding so that no babe in Canada would make u depart O. lolz |
@Cuddlemii and ayolade Thank you so much for your gesuture. I have already received admission letter from the college in Canada to pursue ACCA. I need more professional advice from you as what to do to convince the visa officer that I truly want to go for ACCA. I think I may convince them that the tuition providers in Canada are good compared to Nigerian counterparts and competition is high in Canada i.e learning with diff. ppl from diff.part of the world. Competition makes learning interesting. More so,I am also a Diretor in my father's company and I want to develop the business in the area of financial matter/report and risk management. I think I can convince them that my business is also lacking in the area of keeping proper account and financial record. Above all, since I have become a successful enterpreneur,I also want to become a professional, which gives me an edge of earning from my business and being hired as a professional. what do you think? I want you to see yourself in my shoes, what will you do? I appreciate any more advice and post for you and other nairalanders.

I just went through the website of Stouffville College but didnt get much information. I noticed a lot of Nigerian peeps pictures on their web page which is a good thing, lol I think everything balls down to you. Just make sure your application is well packaged and dont potray desperation. I leave you in the hands of the gurus in this thread, gurus please advice asap. |
@ACCA 247 Sweetheart, this ACCA thingy is a dicey one oh. You know you have been denied Canadian, UK and Netherlands visa. Uk visa is usually easy to get if you are eligible. So your Canadian visa application must be very convincing and geniune so you wont look like someone who is just trying to fly out of the country. I think someone has written something about being denied visa because of ACCA that he was told that he can do it in Nigeria. I read something like that in this thread once cant remember, maybe I am just hallucinating. So just do your home work by researching your proposed programme of study, alternative courses or programme and off course read through the thread again. If I was in your shoes though, I will look for a Bsc in Business Administration with Accounting as a concerntration or a Bsc in Accounting in an affordable college that would enable me school and work after six months. You would be exempted in some courses since you have a diploma in Business. You might even complete your degree in 2 years or 1.5years if your are willing to school during summer and choose a school that has co-op option. Then during holidays, you can read for ACCA or CMA or CGA on your own and write the exams. Infact if all this is put in your letter of intent, you will strike them as someone who has his goals outlined and has matured from the man that applied in 2008. You now own your business and your convicting skills with customers is usually (find appropriate word) because you are not fully educated bla bla bla that should be your basis of going and your letter of intent should be crafted around that. So inorder for you to remain relevant in the Nigerian Economy that is very competitive, you need to upgrade your skills and self actualization blla bla. But what ever options you pick, make sure you convince them to their bones and your letter of intent should be realistic and intelligent. Best of Luck!!! |
Fhemmmy:Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Professional Programme at Lambton College. A very good one if you have the cash as most the job prospect is off the hook. |
@ alikote, Nineteen thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine dollars for just tuition but there are other fees and living expense fees summing up to twenty seven thousand something CAN dollars. Best of luck |
