Members have been commenting on your thread, isn't it so? Your thread was an advert and not a story as such, it was put in Lit/writing Ads. I understand your zeal to recruit members for your club but please not at the expense of disorganizing the section. It really doesn't matter. A job would be urs if you are qualified and have proven yourself competent of handling the task assigned. A successful man/woman should bother about excelling in his/her career and not the gender of the people he/she meets on the ladder to success. Focus on whats important, even if your interviewer is a frog as long as you get the job and given the opportunity to get the foot in the door and make your mark/name in for yourself in the industry. |

toba: u or ur friend is being overzealous. the prophet wouldnt have said ur parents are part of the crowd. in cases where potential couple had been foretold to avoid making noise, that doesnt include their parents. in such cases, only the close relatives and clerics makes such wedding cos parental blessings is keyYou know whats up jare. The op is exaggerating. When priests/pastors or whatever give warnings like that, till the marriage is over no one will know but the parents would be present for the wedding. In fact they might have to travel to an unknown destination, use a different church and do everything codedly. The parents would just lie that they r off for a family burial or king's coronation in their village and off they go for the wedding. |

stillme: A friend of mine is about to wed without his parent consent. The reason for his action is that the wedding must be done secretly to avoid delay in child birth as revealed to him by a prophet. Is his reason justify his action?But doing it secretly shouldn't apply to his parents. I understand some couples do low key weddings because they were advised to or they can't afford a big one but exempting their parents is ludicrous. I mean it can be done with just their parents present, no friends or family members. If I were the lady, I won't accept because women always pay for the consequences, if tomorrow she is kicked out, what proof is there that there was a union- no family witness/albi |

Now that you've mentioned it, I would write something for this section before the year runs out I used to write in the past but I have been very busy.
