I don't think anyone has to know if a woman earns more than her bf or hubby. Women should learn to look, listen and learn most times rather than opening their mouth at every given opportunity. When you meet a guy or you are dating a guy, what's the relevance of discussing your salary with him and informing him that you earn more or not? Can't you keep that information to yourself? That is why girls get scammed and duped because they make their possessions known. Any guy that is adamant about knowing how much you earn/own or makes it his priority to know your financial worth is an irresponsible man, he should focus on getting to know your xter/attitude first. A woman ought to be modest and keep certain things private, her man would respect her confidentiality. The moment you tell your bf you earn more, the next thing is to tell your friends, his friends, then his family and your family and that is how wahala starts as the man would start having a complex, then pride sets & intruders crawl in. As per question, I think it depends on what he is substituting the lesser funds with- intelligence, Love, commitment, respect, care, trust, consistency, potentials, hard work, drive, happiness and peace of mind. If he's got none of these things I listed above, then whats the point? |
Pharoh: I want to mingle withLolz ![]() |
scarphase: Thanks @ mufex.....it seems quiet in here! Why? Do you hear the echo even while whispering? lolz Nice poem, keep it up ![]() |
@Krysstie, The character needs to space her write-up for readers to find it easy to read. Thanks! |
Grand007: Do you guys know that 92 other words can be formed from the word 'planets'? Below are some of them:That is grand! ![]() |
mkmyers45: How do we mingle?mingle, min·gled, min·gling, min·gles- 1. To mix or bring together in combination, usually without loss of individual characteristics. See Synonyms at mix. 2. To mix so that the components become united; merge. v.intr. 1. To be or become mixed or united. 2. To join or take part with others http://www.thefreedictionary.com/mingle |
@mkmyers45, I think there are some changes been done to the polls as its been impossible to create one in recent times. But do not fret, improvise! |
mkmyers45: Hello Cuddles How r u? I am having problems setting up a poll...What gives?I think there are some changes been done to the polls as its been impossible to create one in recent times. But do not fret, improvise! Hence forth, I won't attend to any queries on here, this is for networking and mingling. Thanks! |
afam4eva: You don't agree with the Funke part but you expect people to agree with you on the Ini Edo part. Human beings sef.Lolz! Guess we all are human beings afterall ![]() |
tjskii: Hmmm,I be no wan talk o,but...funke has dis "localness" about her, dunno ow else to put,no matter ow glammed up she is,she still has dt local quality, ini edo has it tooGod bless you for the Ini Edo comment. I thought I was the only one that felt that way. Every time, I make that statement people never agree. I mean I will prefer simplicity over being over dressed/accessorized anytime, anyday. That's why Genevieve does it for me 99% of the time. Genevieve can carry a simple tshirt and jeans with all eloquence and class. I dnt agree with u on the funke part because I like her, she looks stressed and worn out here though. In her recent movies, she dresses better than some cheap english artist plus her accent & english is good. |
maclatunji: I see you have stickied it already. There's isn't too much clutter in my opinion, the Literature home page is okay in my opinion.I didn't sticky it. I will look into it. Right now, I am working on other developments of the section & requirements suggested by other users before now. Thank you very much for you suggestion so far and please in the nearest future, use the complaints thread. Thanks! |
maclatunji: Hello! I think this thread should be stickied. I had to fish-it-out. I do really think that we shouldn't expect Literature section to match the likes of Politics and Romance on Nairaland. However, I think an easy way to attract more traffic is to expose the "hidden talents" present here. This is something I know our moderator has been working hard on. However, I would also like to suggest that she visits other sections and demand that threads that are more literary in nature be moved here. There have been a few over the years that have been posted in Romance in particular and to a lesser extent Family section.Noted! The chat thread wasn't stickied because people hardly use it. I practically beg members to make use of it. How many threads do you want stickied up there? We have the complaints thread, guidelines, rules and regulations and now this? I left room for other threads up there, for the sake of togetherness, lolz! As per your suggestion, I replied you on the mods board. Thanks! ![]() |
manmustwac: Sexkillz who himself was once banned before he became a mod manmustwac: Yep. He was once banned so came up with another I.D. called killz. It just shows what happens when an ex offender becomes a mod.But what are you doing commenting here? I don't see the relevance of these posts. |
@op, please can you reorganize your post, its uneasy to read. Thanks! Is this a poem or fiction? |

Lexo22: The title of this topic is grammatically wrong and I am disappointed in the moderator who allowed this post to cross front page without correcting the fatal error ... @poster next time try "i wish i were a woman" no fighting oh abeg naem i dey oh!Noted! You know rudeness doesn't get you you anywhere. If you observe an error make it known constructively. Now that you've corrected it yourself, has it not contributed to the learning process? Some members have learnt the difference between "was" and "were", through your observation and that is commendable. No one is above mistake, next time, I will look closely for errors like this. |

sholay2011: Na wa for you oh mod...na ''abe abo'' you lyk...se u knw d real meaning sha?Yes, I have an idea of what it means. Literature is literature regardless of the subject matter, what matters is the quality & delivery. I havent read any other Yoruba literature, but I will love to. |
sholay2011: Hello. I've been an ardent fan of Yoruba literature but I rarely see people talking about it here (even though we have Yorubas on this forum). I feel Yoruba literature kind of connects one to his or her roots and have better storylines than many nollywood movies (both English and Yoruba). I can't forget books like 'Koseegbe', 'Ogbon ologbon', 'Ojo buruku esu gbomi mu' and my favourite- 'Agbako nile tete'. If I could lay my hands on any of these books, i don't mind reading them again. Please, does anyone in the house read Yoruba books? If yes, what's ur favourite?I loved the yoruba book, "Abe abo" in secondary school. I love everything Yoruba though! |
