@pcguru1

Maybe you are overthinking it.
You don't actually set out looking for an idea, i think
It often comes to you while doing mundane tasks.

You can know by inference from design. I will list it here.

1) Life is a coded system
2) Coded systems require intelligence to make
3) By inference life requires an intelligent Maker.

Hmmm.
Or maybe life requires MORE than ONE intelligent maker.? shocked grin

@ Bolded, great!

Usual progression: Religious => Atheist => Agnostic => Pantheist => Who knows...

Once you become an atheist, the first thing that happens is that you kinda become angry.

Why the fvck did they sell me this bullshít. Why is everyone so irrational - unlike the smart, superior me? But remember, we humans are all superfluously irrational.

Lol, there's even a book titled Predictably Irrational - makes an interesting read.

If you look closely, you'll see that our irrationality as a specie even borders on idiocy. Take something as you being from Nigeria as an example. In the name of this imaginary entity, you will 'justifiably' discriminate, fight wars and kill people. Well, because they are from a different imaginary entity.

Nationalism is the infantile disease of mankind, said Einstein. He was so right.

Almost every one of our actions is governed by irrationality. Emotions. And emotions take logic to the cleaners all the time, everyday. Logic just doesn't stand a fvcking chance.

When you 'attack' a religious person with your logic, even if you possess the persuasiveness of a serpent, he FEELS affronted. An affront to his God, an affront to his intelligence and an affront to his person.

And under this beautiful atmosphere, there's no way your message could possibly get through. And to make things worse, you are going against thousands of years of momentum...and years and years of conditioning. Your logic is not that strong - though it has it virtues.

Besides, everyone is right, depending on where their understanding is, and where circumstance has placed them.

For example, if you asked a student in Primary 2, "What is 2 - 3?", her answer would be "it cannot go!" Is she wrong?

Good.

"You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help him find it within himself." ---- Galileo

So instead of going all kung fu-evangelical on their áss. Why not plant seeds instead. "What if...?" Or generally express your opinion, when asked, without being condescending, disrespectful or combative.

And most patiently hope that someday, they might, in a moment of quiet contemplation have some bulbs go off. "What if I was born a Muslim, a Christian, a Buddhist or a Traditionalist". "If God loves us so much, why would he burn some of us for - wait! - ETERNITY!", "That's incongruent with being all LOVE"

A hole here and a hole there, you have yourself a leaky ship. And once there's a leaky ship, the entire complex is going down, down, down.

Its only a matter of time.

And finally, arguments are blunt instruments which bloody more than they cut (paraphrasing Chief Dr Robert Greene). Believe me, you will lose quite a few friends - if you are the argument guy.

"If you argue and rankle and contradict, you may achieve a victory sometimes; but it will be an empty victory because you will never get your opponent's good will." -------- Benjamin Franklin

Better words have never been so eloquently put together!

What lead to temptation? Can temptation lead to the existence of God? If God do not exist, dos that mean everything is permissable?i hate to do somthing, but i find myself doing it, how do you explain this? What type of force is this? Soooo many question to ask, do you realy think you are living alone?how do you even explain dream?

Your confusion is understandable.
You have a lot of questions and instead of seeking for answers. You settle for the easier way out. You chose to believe in fairy tales.

wudve been funny,if your delusions werent so pathetic.

You claim to be logical yet can't settle conclusively the fundamental questions of life.

hahah
you agree that my previous explanation was delusional?
Now replace the word 'invisible pink unicorn' with the word 'God'.
You would better understand how delusional you religious lots sound.

My personal submission on the source of life is I don't know. I like to think there was/were intelligent creator/creators.

I am however not going to swallow delusionary religious explanations simply because i dont know.

Peace

What dyu say about this things?

How did earth occur?
How did life occur?
Inter alia.

the invisible pink unicorn created the earth. She is the source of all things that breathe on earth. you need to give tour life to the invisible pink unicorn so you dont rot in hell. Dont try to be logical with this, it is a spiritual matter that you can only understand if you give your life to the invisible pink unicorn.

Family / Re: Real Men Do Not Beat Their Wives by curiouslad(m): 10:14pm On Sep 28, 2014
The real question is why should any human being raise his hand against another.

Domestic violence isn't limited to wife and hubby issues alone.

You would see a mum beating the hell out of a child and still slap the child to keep quiet. How inhumane!

Same with people beating their househelps.

until we learn to see fellow humans as equal dometic violence wouldnt stop.

Yes, I’m afraid we have to come clean. We use PHP here at MailChimp. For the non-programmers among you, PHP is a programming language that is extremely ...

...We’ve built a framework for developing applications in PHP specifically designed to allow for fast innovation in the high-load, high-performance environment we live in every day while still keeping the API extremely simple to deal with....
We use this architecture to process well over thirty million emails sent by tens of thousands of users every day, generating tens of millions of bounces, opens, clicks, and unsubscribes that all need to be handled in near-real time. We further process millions of API requests and millions of subscribes and confirmations every day. All told, we handle well over 500 million dynamic page views a month. Our backend systems run millions of jobs every day, calculating statistics, querying geographic data, and scanning everything for bad behavior and abuse.

Seun: We use CherryPy as a minimal framework. We've written simple routines for routing, templating, db pooling, etc that suit our needs perfectly.
We like servers with lots of RAM (for the database) and solid state storage (to make maintenance operations like backups & table rebuilds fast).
We switched from SMF because we felt that we understood the needs of our forum and could write our own code to satisfy those needs better.

Whatever you do, Whatever Language you choose, You still have to optimize for your specific USE Case
Good Luck
