Smhaykins: Hello guys.
Please u need an enlightenment.
I was going through my Facebook page.
And I saw an advert for Cisco training, certification and placement. Fee: 67,000.
Please I don't know how effective is this in getting a job. Any possibility of me coping since I don't have any background in computer or networking.
Please advice Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is worth it. It may not get you your dream job but it sets you up for success. Get your CCNA, then go for AWS Certified Cloud Practicioner (that's if you're a newbie) if not skip AWS CCP and go straight to AWS Certified Solutions Architect |

tensazangetsu20: Na dont. The base level certifications are everywhere. Do cloud certifications instead. AWS, Azure and GCP or kubernetes and docker. I disagree to an extent. Cloud is very profitable and in high demand but someone NEEDS to have a strong networking foundation to implement the cloud technologies properly. So I'll advice the op to at least get his CCNA > AWS CCP or Azure fundamentals. From there he can decide in which direction to follow as his interest leads! |

emmanuelewumi: Internet is your friend, follow new about pension fund managers and mutual fund managers.
I have Investments with some of the mutual fund managers, they send fact sheet reports to investors every month I try my best to follow but it feels like there is just too much to consume from too many sources at once and I tend to lose focus. I'm human naw lol. Anyway thanks a lot for your posts...you're unknowingly educating people here oh. God bless |

emmanuelewumi: Imagine
Stanbic IBTC Asset Management is the biggest fund manager with over N400 billion under management having just N6.3 billion in their equity fund.
FBN Quest Asset Management is the second biggest with over N250 billion under management having just N600 million in their equity fund
United Capital Asset Management is the third biggest with about N200 billion under management having just N1.4 billion in their equity fund.
Total fund under management by all the Mutual Fund Managers in Nigeria is over N1.6 Trillion, the amount allocated to equities is less than N40 billion.
Total fund under management with Pension Fund Managers is about N12.5 Trillion, the amount allocated to equities is roughly N500 billion.
I don't have the figures for the Insurance companies, I am sure less than 5% of their funds are in the equity market.
Keep on watching the percentage increase in the funds allocated to equities by Mutual Funds, Pension Fund Managers and Insurance companies, may be that will give us an idea of when things will turn around. Please can you drop links to articles or websites where we can get info like this. It is eye opening. |

Honest Question.
Does one need to send dividend mandate every time dividend(s) will be paid assuming the shares held are never sold? |

I equally fished out Royalex here last year or so, anyone that picked @22/23k and was patient will be smiling now....... ROYALEX closed @83k........that's around +300% gain.... I'm watching STI and Chi too....... Chi already moved from 33k, closed @51k today.
** Not any form of recommendation. DD applies** I remember quite well how you were sounding the alarm about Royalex. Today it's trading at 3X the price. Your observation(s) was spot on... |

OBAGADAFFI: Oba Otudeko used his Airtel shares as collateral for Honeywell's Ecobank loan.
Oba Otudeko used the same Airtel shares (and some Honeywell assets) as collateral for a First Bank loan.
According to news reports, Otudeko’s Airtel shares were used as collateral for Honeywell’s Ecobank loan. Yet, in an interesting turn of events, those same Airtel shares as well as some Honeywell assets were also used as collateral for the credit facility from First Bank.
According to one banking insider, “In a round about way, First Bank now owns the assets pledged to Ecobank.”
“So the same asset (Honeywell and Airtel) is allegedly pledged to Ecobank and none of the banks can move in on these assets. First Bank has an equity position while Ecobank has a debt position.”

Papertrails: Please nairalanders I need your advice on something that has been bothering me for sometime now.
I am a young graduate who graduated from the university almost two years ago and am done with my youth service too but am still trying to get a job or put up something maybe a business that will be fetching me money considering the situation of our country in terms of availability of jobs.
Then there's is this girl I have been dating for three years and everything has been going well but recently she has been really disturbing me to come and see her people or get her pregnant, am someone that will do everything within my power to make sure my kids don't pass through the hardship I have passed through being someone that wasn't born with a silver spoon, and another thing is that I really love this girl. Am really confused and don't know what to do. Hmmmmmmmm! |

emmasoft: Please note that the purpose of the transfer form is for the registrars to have your specimen signature. So If your signature is with the registrars already you don't need to process transfer form. The form is a means to an end.
Registrars can also have your signature specimen from the public offer form you completed while buying the shares. Some other time you may be asked by registrars during demat of your shares to provide a bankers confirmation of your signature all these are just to have your signature specimen.
Basically the registrars prefer the transfer form if the stocks were bought on the floor on the NSE.
By the way processing of transfer form is cheaper compare to bankers confirmation of signature. Whoaa! I did not know any of these. Thanks a lot for explaining |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Curry30: 9:20pm On Apr 04, 2021 |
emmasoft: Ask your stockbroker to send you a share transfer form. Complete the form and send back to them. The form will be processed by cscs and sent to the registrar with a copy to your broker.
Normally after sending the transfer form to your broker, wait for about two weeks and then send your e-dividend mandate to the registrar. From the share transfer form the registrar will get your signature specimen. Quick question..without the share transfer form where an investor's signature is verified from, dividends can't be processed? |

seyisanya: Anything is possible. The only way to win in this market is to have a strategy.
Don't jump into the market all at once and don't exit completely. Invest regularly from your cash flow by buying in tranches. Only invest in fundamentally sound stocks. And don't forget that having cash on the side is also an investment strategy.
Do these things, and you will always win - bears or bulls! You nailed it ja re. |

yMcy56: The thing is: Even if at all Zee hits 11, many of them will still not buy. It took Oga RabbiDoracle lots of efforts to convince some of them to buy when Zee hits 10.70 last year March. Fear no gree them. Peter even had to shift goal post to N5, and even if it gets there, trust him, the goal post would go to N1. He would then buy N1 stock and collect N2.80, then N3 dividends within a space of less than 2yrs.....a year self. That's the fact. I stopped looking at price and started focusing on the value of what I'm buying. People with that rock bottom expectation on a stock will never be satisfied even if the stock falls to their said price. Goal post will shift again. I picked up some Zee at 16.40 last year and still made lots of gain. So just get a strategy and follow through biko. |

At the slightest cough, you'll see the "I told you so" coming out. You also mentioned the latest one in your post, directed at myself and megawealth especially. These things discourages. We see how it goes anyway. Thanks sir. @Mcy56 You need not cease posting here.
