How i wish i knew who this girl was, so i can free her from her misery and talk some sense into her. Is marriage by force?? see me see trouble oohwell like you said richylaw, if she succumbs to their advice, then she's digging her untimely grave, because yes they'll use it against her in the future and who on earth will gang up with some not-yet-in-laws and battle against their parents, leading them behind the light if this lady knew what was good for her, she better wake up from her sleep, before she'll be in water while soap eneters her eyes hmmm Now i see where your friend got his desperate and selfish and forceful attitude from, his parents. No wonder *sighs* ![]() |

But tomorrow, i'll be doing some fun activities ![]() So what's up with you, where are you right now? hello ! hello ! hello ! the princess is here to settle all conflicts ![]() now what's the confussion all about?? |
Like i always say, two people in love that come from differnt worlds (in your case, religion) have to weigh prons and cons and take a decision . Whichever way they choose to go about it, someone will definitely get hurt Its knowong your priority that counts, are you ready to give up love and your partner for the sake of family and relations, or does your family worth more. Who means more to you?? the only thing you can do is to talk, convice them; convince them, talk. You can't force them, neither can you kill them to make them see things with you ![]() so there's actually little or nothing you can do, just hope they'll change their minds, get to know you and accept you for who you are and what you mean to their daughter, give their blessings eventually. Some give in, some do along the marriage, and some don't at all. Are you guys ready to take the risk?? at the end of the day, if they don't then you either go ahead marry the girl against all odds, or part and go your different ways and avoid family misunderstandings. Very few families are into the idea of allowing their kids go into marriages with different races or religions, so its actually not a new thing You should also be thinking some years down the road ooh, if your marriage can cope the difference in religion, love is just a tip of the ice-berg compared to what you guys will need to succeed but its a very important factor too, so you have to make sure you have all the ingredients to make the soup a good one Some of them work out, some don't there's no guarantee to love but a destined noe sure will lead you through ![]() |

maree7:my dear i'm fine ooh, missed this thread ooh, only that some riddles are so brain twisting that i just keep away ![]() @ lalaboi no . .yes ![]() |
well like i've always said, you can take the horse to the stream but you cannot force it to drink ![]() Like whitelexi said, all you can do is try to advice her and talk her out of it. I assume she's an adult, which makes her capable of making her own decisions even though in this case a dishearthening and wrong one. But at the end of the day there's little or nothing you can do about it its not like you can force her out of it ![]() is it that he's the only guy in town. or that no single ones are available or is it that she just likes sharing someone else's remnants or that she doesn't think she can do better or that she isn't worth more than a "hide and seek" relationship (which is what it always is when your so called partner isn't totally yours and you're the one that came late to the game )all you can do is to talk some sense into her, and let her consience do the rest, the guy too should be ashamed of himself, because it takes two to tango ![]() if after you've talked to her, she continues then she should either be ready to remain single the rest of her life, or be ready for what is coming her way i'm sure she doesn't expect to go free in her marriage, after being a "party of destroyal" in someone else's. I'm not wishing her evil sha, just that i was taught that what goes around comes around ![]() |
hi there Maree7, i'm back ![]() answer to ya riddle : NOTHING! |
Well of cousre he did justice . . it takes two to tango, and when there's just one we call that solo ![]() if your friend had continued, he'll only have been decieveing himself thinking he's doing tango, while in the actual sense, he's soloing lol. what good would it have done him, to be in a relationship that means nothing or less to his partner but i still don't blame the girl eitherNow i can't actually say one of them was at fault, because obviously they come from different worlds, and it would take the extraordinary to make "them" work. Not everybody is cut out for a long-distant relationship, and not eveybody that starts the journey, gets to the end of it. I admire your friend's courage in calling a spade, a spade and not crying over spilled milk ![]() Now both of them can find hapiness, each on his own. They can remain friends, since they obviously didn't break up with long faces, Something your friend should know in case of next time is this, even while in a distant relationship, you can still make your partner feel as if you're there with them the whole time. Maybe that was what the girl was asking for, and though it might not have been his intention to hurt her, he couldn't read in between the lines. Its not his fault, because not everybody has that "thing" which it takes to make it work. Maybe he'd be better off getting someone around him ![]() The girl might have loved him too, and some would say "why didnt she now remain in the relaionship out of love?", but love is actually not all it takes, when partners are thouands of miles apart, then they have to come up with something, solutions and devices to make up for the distance Despite the distance, don't allow your partner to feel neglected and ignored. Being frustrated in a relationship is the worst that could happen to someone, and not having the other to pull you through, is even worse ![]() love is like a flower, when watered, it blossoms; when neglected, withers |
davidylan:yes ooh, there are many fishes in the river, but only one of them is his fish, i'm sure he just wanted to find out if she was the right one. and no, you don't have to have fish(es) for dinner, but what if its a fish-dinner that was planned on his behalf/head ![]() tascoray:ok, thanks for the update. Well there's actually little or nothing you can do now since its almost impossible for you to see her. Your chances of proving yourself, are slim so what you have to do is move on with your life without her. There's no point in calling her, cps that does not erase the picture she has already drawn of you in her mind ![]() They say there's no point in crying over spilled milk, which seems to be the case here, if it is meant to be, then someday, somehow your parts will cross, your continous calls at this point will only tagg you desperate, and remember you guys weren't even in a relationship in the first place. Go out there and find someone who would appreciate your looks, and appreciate you the way you are regardless of what the friend says or doesn't say and next time, be careful not to fall for the wrong person, i don't know how you could love someone you barely knew but all the same, she seems 2faced, she doesn't seem to know what she wants ![]() and for the mean time believe me, you don't need that ![]() |
my sister, i feel you on that one ooh its ridiculous growing girls are reaped off their self-esteem and confident. They no longer think they can be beautiful without being model-skinny. Its so dishearthening to watch what's going on in the midst of youthsthe number of bulinmis and anorexias is increasing by the hour ![]() I'm slim, but i know i've tripped for some not-so-slim ones ooh, some of the "so called slender" ones are not even happy in their bodies sef ![]() what they tend to forget, is that most of these models and stars don't really look all perfect in real life, they get hypnotised by what they see on movies and magazines. you'll be surprised to find out that Angelina Jolie, as tall as she seems on screen, she is a short person in real life, i'll never stop being grateful to this actress can't remember her name, who appeared on "ellen's show" to talk about "life as a satr". She revealed that their pictures are being perfected, and they look nothing like that. And even when they seem extremely good-looking, it all comes from the make-ups and camera tricks. The sad thing being, why would our girls be beating up themselves for something that isn't even real, something really has to be done ooh, before it gets out of hand ![]() I know that none of them (the plus size) on the ANTM have actually made it far, but its all because they loose confidence in themselves as time goes on, then the judges have noo option than to wave them good.-bye But an achievement has been made though, because one of the plus size girls that was on one of the seasons did appear on Tyra show, to announce her numerous contracts, some bi girls got inspired by her. I was so happy ![]() Tyra Banks is trying sha, more people should also join in the battle of making the "bigger ones" acknowledge their beauty ![]() |
jbuoy:well don't you think it'll be fine if we did it on nairaland, at least he'll be having fun on other topics as well, at the same time, making new friends ![]() @ omo eko sweetie, just holla when you get home,ok?? |
Omo Eko:darling i'm fine ooh ![]() @jbuoy dear, i'm fine ooh, preparing myself for the norwegian tutoring ![]() |
