Catch the buzzards, and collect our money back. Who are those behind Atlantic Energy . Don't they have names ![]() |
christysuccess1:I agree with you somewhat that inability to do the right thing consistently is a perennial disease afflicting leadership in Nigeria, some say the black race. I just don't think the correct name is "cluelessness". Most of the atrocities afflicted by African leaders, especially Nigerian variety is deliberate. On prayer and fasting. Not sure any other nation fasts as much as we do. How much do Americans, Norwegians, Swedes, Swiss, Finnish or Dutch people fast. Visit these countries, and see the society work like a masterpiece clock. The crime rate is also very low |
9ousky:I watched the event on TVC. Buhari clearly mentioned APC. I don't recall if he called the full party name, but he definitely made reference to APC, though completely out of context. Trust Channels TV to screen out Buhari's ex-tempore comments, and only allow Obama's comments. I expected that. |
Jesusloveyou:Your monicker reads "jesuslovesyou". In all likelihood, you are a born again Christian, and probably a pastor. Don't you have any value for human life? Is there no limit to politics and lies? We are talking about a human being here and a family man, Mr Pastor. Was it GEJ that instructed DSS operatives to deny him access to food and medication? A man who is hypertensive and diabetic? Ask Jesus that you serve to grant you a little bit of sense and human feelings. |
eazydon:I listened to the PMB-Obama parley with the press in full attendance on TVC Monday evening. I don't recall Obama saying most of those things Femi Adesina is referring to. Perhaps, they were said in another closed door meeting. First, was the PMB-Obama meeting really a "world changing meeting"? . That sounds like a bit of an exaggeration. The bolded item (bullet point no. 5) seems to be the only substantial offer of support or assistance. No real offer of support (material, equipment of funds) to fight Boko Haram, which should have been a critical item on Buhari's agenda I remember Buhari talking about the election. He thanked Obama profusely for keeping up the pressure on GEJ govt to conduct a free and fair election. He made muffled references to the economy and his party APC. But he was a bit clearer on fighting corruption. All other points in OP's list are pieces of advice on how Buhari should run his government. The last one is the most ridiculous. Do the APC governors in the entourage really need this kind of admonishment to work with PMB. Thought this was already a given. |
Let us keep calm and confirm this in the morning. Holding someone without charge and denying him to his medicine to care of existing medical condition was the norm during military era of General Buhari/Idiagbon, IBB and Sani Abacha. Gani Fawehinmi, Beko Ranssome Kuti, Dele Giwa and many journalists and civil rights activitists and labour leaders suffered greatly when they went through this dark era. Nobody should take Nigeria backwards to that era. We hope this news is not true. |
midolian:Terry Waya ??If Terry is hovering around Buhari, then the war on corruption is over before it even began. Terry Waya was the Chief Facilitator of movement of funds along with likes of current NFF President Amaju Pinnick for Chief James Ibori, Modu Sherrif, Akume, Orji Uzor Kalu, etc during their tenure as state governors. He organised wild parties and shipped girls to London and Dubai for the cavorting governors and political figures. He has a permanent suite at Eko Hotel. In fact Terry Waya essentially lives in Eko Hotel. You can check out these facts. |
Ndeewonu: I know Buhari used the BH crisis to his political advantage. At one point he made the famous statement that killing BH members and fighting BH is the same as fighting the North. But now the BH saga is his problem now as the C-in-C, and he has to solve it. |
kenonze:See my post above on this confusion. Can you educate us on what constitutes a seal? |
ayindejimmy:What is it? A postage stamp? When you put your official title around the Nigerian coat of arms, such a design is called "a seal". The Presidential, Vice President, and State Governor's official seals are all designed in that style. Aisha Buhari is fulfilling the functions of her office, and I personally dont see anything wrong with that. What rankles people is that she and her husband are breaking their promise to abolish that office. Apologists will posit that no budget has been fired for that office. The question I will ask is: Did Aisha Buhari pay for the invitation card and the Eid el Fitri party with her own money? Telling the truth does not hurt. |
Abbeyme:Who do you refer to "the invitation people"? Are they aliens from planet Pluto? Are they not members of staff of her office? There is no chance in hell such an important piece of public material bearing her name and issued with her full consent will go out without her approval of the design. Let's stop all these deception. |
emmasege:Solid points. |
Shocking and disgusting ![]() BH is perpetrating same atrocities in Nigeria. The new government has to do something fast to end this Boko Haram menace |
patriotic007:Spot on!!! Totally agree with you. 6 weeks to the April 2015 election GEJ made what seemed like an impossible promise that he drive BH out of the dreaded Sambisa Forest and recover all lost local governments in Borno State. Nigerian took this promise with a gallon of salt. No Nigerian believed him. I certainly did not. It was a shocked nation that watched as the army suddenly took the fight to BH, storming the Sambisa forest, overran many BH camps we did not even know, recovered all the LGAs. Normalcy returned to Maiduguri. Bombings ceased altogether. New military hardware were purchased to beef up the military arsenal across all the services. I remember 4 new warships were inaugurated by GEJ. To crown it all, over 4OO girls taken by Boko Haram were recovered. Nigerians praised GEJ and berated him why he left it too late if he could do all these in just 6 short weeks. We all thought that once Buhari comes in, it will just be a home run to completely route BH and achieve the last bit of finding and returning the Chibok girls. Alas, the nation is now reeling in shock as it seems the military is once again in retreat, and Boko Haram has expanded the spate of bombings from the North East to North Central States of Kaduna and Plateau states. Now it is not just one bombing every day. Some days, they even have the boldness to carry out 2 bombings!! ![]() I was both pained and disgusted watching Lai Mohammed on Channels TV this morning trying to pull wool over the eyes of Nigerians by saying that the Buhari govt is indeed winning the fight against BH, and the current spate of daily bombings is an indication that BH is about to be annihilated that is why they are spate is on the upsurge. Are these people living in this same country?? ![]() Travelling to neighbouring countries to seek support and build MNJTF was heavily criticized by the Buhari Campaign Organisation anchored by Lai Mohammed as a sign of a weak President. It sold to the electorates that once the "New Sheriff in Town" (as Lai Mohammed likes to refer to President Buhari , a man who drove Maitatsine Islamic militants, General Buhari, steps into Aso Rock, BH will receive the trashing of their lives. Nigerians were elated and voted massively for Buhari. Even victims of his previous military regime forgot their previous travails in his hands and rooted for him. Alas, now what do we have? President Buhari is doing the same travelling, cap in hand, even to the ambivalent Western nations, begging them to come and help us defeat BH. Haba! How low will politicians descend to, in lying to their people? ![]() It is distressing to watch human beings being killed daily in such mindless fashion. If Buhari cannot improve on the very visible progress made by the previous government during the last 6 weeks of that administration, he should at least keep things from sliding downwards. I don't think this is too much to ask of him. THE STRONG GOODWILL OF NIGERIANS IS STILL THERE. BUHARI SHOULD DO EVERYTHING TO KEEP IT. NIGERIANS NEED REAL CHANGE!!! |
Following yesterday's boko haram latest bombings at Gombe and Damaturu, Oby Ezekwesili, former Minister and Coordinator of BBOG has asked a very profound and troubling question: "How long before Federal Government restores dignity of life in Nigeria?" This is a fundamental question President Buhari should answer without delay, because people are getting tired of these daily killings. We never saw this level of carnage even during the worst days of GEJ govt? See Oby's tweet and pic below. Viewer discretion advised

dayo23:Every time BH slaughters Nigerians, VP Osibanjo will be despatched to go and count dead bodies and stroke the hands of maimed victims. Is this one of the permanent job schedules for the VP? Out of the tens of Northerners already appointed by Buhari, can't he find one person among them to send who could at least condole them in hausa? Why must a Yoruba be assigned this degrading task? ![]() |
dunkem21:Ichoku was the bomb ![]() I wish someone can get NTA to re-run those programmes. It beats all these pointless Nollywood 2 a penny movies hands down. Village Headmaster and Mirror in the Sun were also classics |
pasol4real:Emeka Anyaoku dropped in at Aso Rock today to put in few words of advice as well. You guys are just worrying yourselves for nothing. Buhari will do just fine |
jieta:Obama will simply put on his headphone to get the interpretation. chikena |
dunkem21:....Ichoku .. . I can't stop laughing. ![]() Poster please kindly tell the younger once born in the MTV age about this old hilarious NTA drama series that parodied the colonial era. Just remembering that village interpreter with his khaki shorts makes my ribs ache with laughter. |
baralatie:They have been going to their state assemblies to get approval to issue bonds or borrow billions from banks from time immemorial, yet they are not satisfied with that. In fact it is such incessant debts approved by pliant state assemblies that has resulted in the huge mountain of debts, which they have been repaying through the nose via Irrevocable Standing Orders and first line deductions from their Federal allocations that has left them in current ruinous financial state. They now resort to combination of blackmail against Okonjo Iweala's (Oshiomole) and shameless begging for free cash and bail out plea mission to Buhari, ala Greece, to be able to meet basic obligations like paying salaries. Many states are technically bankrupt. |
fulanimafia:There is no law in Nigeria that permits the Federal government to warehouse revenue from NLNG to take care of so-called "biting problems". There are few special allocations for ecological, ETF, and 13% for Niger Delta. There is no provision anywhere in our laws for some funds to be set aside to pay salaries of civil servants at State level. Will Fed Govt also pay arrears salaries of private sector workers? |
Yehman:Space booker. Please pay your ground rent to help IDP's in Jos and Borno ravaged by Boko Haram. Noting is 2 small ![]() |
Don't mess with me -o-o-ooooooo If e no be northerner, wahalahi, I no touch.

Buhari appoints another Northerner as DPR Director to replace, George Osahon from Edo State. Source: Vanguard
|
Boss13:Totally agree with you, @Boss |
What difference does it make? Whether from Excess Crude Account or from NLNG Revenue Account, it is still the same bail out of corrupt state governments, whose governors are answerable financially to nobody. They still draw their Security Vote, whether civil servants in their states are paid or not. |
Sounds like the difference between 6 and half a dozen. |

Bollove:So President Buhari is currently busy destroying "illegitimate foundation" (9 presidential jets, Daura helipad, estimated PHCN bills, etc) that is why the country is in a stand still? Does that destruction include the current blood bath Boko Haram is unleashing on Nigeria without any whimper or fight from the govt or the armed forces? Well let's hope in the #FullnessofTime when he is done with the foundation destruction, there will still be a Nigeria for him to start building. Let us also hope in the Fullness of Time, Western allies (are they our allies?) and Eastern Power Bloc (does this still exist?) will come to Buhari's rescue. |
