Despite the malfeasance and monumental corruption surrounding the import waiver saga which was managed principally by Nigerian Customs, when Abdulahi Inde Dikko chose to voluntarily retire to enjoy his loot accumulated during his tenure as Comptroller General, President Buhari was all smiles, and even went through the new official endorsement protocol of picture taking session complete with handshake. Reason for this warm and cosy disengagement from service is that Inde Dikko is from Musawa village in Katsina. Other heads of MDA's from other parts of the country are treated as criminals with open hostility. The ex customs boss spent millions of narrative buying up pages of newspapers and news magazines to polish his image and project a false facade. His ascension as Comptroller was mired in controversy over certificate forgery and scandal. |
hob:And afternoon snack or drinking of kunu!!! |
I hope our chronically corrupt, lazy, pot-bellied and "roger" chopping policemen will also be forced to go on 15km road jogging every Saturday across all police formations to improve physical fitness and discipline. A donkey as a mascot to lead the police will be OK ![]() |
ogorkojo:"You pray" ?? My dear by the time you are through with the prayer, your village, if not the entire clan will be wiped out. I like prayer. But this matter requires action as well. Fulani cattle herdsmen understand only one language: "force". |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:Maybe he tells you. Because, he is certainly very taciturn with the rest of the world. All we see is the same old tight lipped General Buhari of 1984 standing in group pictures with various confused govt parastatals (MDAs), who have taken it upon themselves to go directly to sound out the President on his policy directions and programmes. Everyone is left guessing. Even MDAs and various interest groups who have gone to see him, confirm that he doesnot say anything, apart from express a general desire to fight corruption. You cannot run a country on wishes and hot air. We need to know the details in his policies, hopefully aligned to his election campaign promises. If you have such, Mr AdamuCow, please share with us here. Thanks in advance. #Wailing for My Country since 1914 (after Lord Lugard did his thing) |
VOICEOFJUSTICE:Is it only 4 years? Have you forgotten Buhari's god-daughter is INEC Chairman? With all the illegality and mago-mago way she was appointed, do you see any move to change her? Una never chi chom chin yet? |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY:Is Buhari not working even more quietly than GEJ? Who is PMB carrying along in his journey so far? Does he carry Tinubu and all those who laboured and spent huge sums of money to put him in office? Even the leadership of his party, APC are grumbling they don't know how he arrived at the list of recent appointments (CG Customs, SGF, Chief of Staff, etc) he announced yesterday. In fact PMB is not only "working quietly", he is "walking alone" !!! He doesn't even believe he needs ministers. Now, that is really "working alone"!!!! ![]() |
obailala:Femi Falana (SAN) dwelt not only on the effective Abacha loot recovery, he also elaborated extensively on the laws he put in place to strenghthen the hands of DPP and anti-corruption agencies to successfully prosecute corrupt officials. Though Falana did not touch on this, via the e-purse, Jonathan effectively ended the perennial fertilizer scam in which Nigeria lost billions every year, and successive govts were incapable of doing anything about it because powerful emirs and prominent Nigerians were all involved. Adesina Akinwumni (former Agric Minister under GEJ) can provide more details. GEJ's fault is that he needed to also publicly prosecute and make an example of corrupt officials. In fighting corruption in Nigeria, symbolism is very important. In our current national psyche and thinking, these symbolism are even more important than the substance itself. Nigerians relate more to fear factor in obeying the law. |
He dwelt repeatedly on the lopsided justices system in Nigeria in which the rich that steal billions like royalty, while the poor who steal a goat or pick pockets who steal meager amounts like N500 are handcuffed and chained when being taken to court daily, and paraded before the public. The He said repeatedly, "to be fair to Jonathan's govt", he signed "a revolutionary law" in May 2015 that prevents and effectively removed all the legal obstacles that rich corrupt officials used to stall prosecution. The law demands that all technicalities and preliminary objections must be consolidated into the main case. The law is defined to pull the rug from under the feet of rich corrupt govt officials from seeking perpetual injunctions, or asking the court to bar EFCC, ICPC or DPP from ever prosecuting them, in the same way ex-gov Peter Odili of Rivers State did, and Rotimi Amaechi is trying to do. The law demands that all corruption cases must be tried day-by-day, and must be disposed within 6 months. No more interminable adjournments are allowed. You cannot also bring cases baring you from being investigated for corruption unlike what obtained during OBJ govt and before then. The Sunrise crew went on the offensive asking Falana to show proof that the law is in operation. The legal icon responded that the law is just being gazzetted. Asked if judges are not part of the problem, being themselves corrupt. Whether there are enough upright to prosecute the war on corruption. Femi answered firmly in the narrative. Maupe Ogun (Femi Gbajabiamila's lover) is stunned.... and speechless. Not sure she was expecting these objective statements from Femi Falana. |
Femi Falana on Channels TV shocks the usually APC sympathetic Sunrise crew of Maupe, Aledeh and Chamberlain Usoh, by giving facts and figures that GEJ govt recorded the highest and most successful loot recovery in the world by getting back over $1.3billion from the Abacha family. Tune in. It's on now live. |
Israel5:More like going Clara-nas!!! |
GenbIoodykiller:Ewhoooo. GenbIoodykiller:Ewhoooo. See stroking!!! |
front247:Certainly. Akinwumi was so outstanding, Buhari vigorously campaigned for him to take up the African Development Bank job by sending emissaries to other African leaders. Short sightedness is now afflicting Oshiomole. Even glaring FG achievements in Edo State is not visible to him |
Akinwumi Adesina: “Realising that the demand for import quality-grade parboiled rice was estimated at 2.5million Metric tons (MT) in Nigeria, the gap in milling capacity prompted the Federal Executive Council to approve a N9billion fund to support private sector companies to acquire nine new 36,000 metic tons per annum factories to further raise the capacity to 1.2million MT, leaving a national supply gap of 1.3million MT that was to be met by controlled imports under the new rice policy.Choi!! See how facts and figures is making the short old man look like a mofo. Does not even know what is happening in his own state. Oshio baba is beginning to sound more like someone with a mental problem. Since he imported that yellow sisi from Cape Verde, every time he opens his cholera mouth he seems to plant his feet inside it. |
Another big "change" successfully executed. This is the real "changi" Northerners were chanting during the campaign and Buhari is fulfilling his promise. I don't know the "change" you people had in mind. GMB is implementing the one he had in mind. You wailers can keep wailing. It's already too late. Sanusi Lamido, Junaid Mohammed, Ibrahim Coomasie and Co are the de facto script writers and Buhari's real political advisers. Everything is going according to plan. More changes on the way. Emefiele, Paul Orbih, Lamorde, etc watch out. NIMASA , NSCDC, AMCON, NIWA, NDDC, already in the bag. |
Speakdatruth:Very nice name. Linda please accept it. Linda Gates sounds very nice. Even Bill Gates approved it. |
The geh is OK.
Buh dat gate ehn...... Sumtin dey dat gate |
laudate:Don't have ur time, man If you have been penciled for retrenchment and u feel you are not ready to go, file a complaint at Public Complaints Commission, brief your lawyer, talk to your senator, or write to Buhari. Do something positive man to fight your case following the due process that you love so much. Go and look at other National Oil Companies like Petronas, Aramco, Qatar Petroleum, ADNOC, Pemex, Sonangol, Sonantrach, to name few. Then you will appreciate how much damage NNPC has wrecked in Nigeria. They should all hide their faces in shame. Thousands of Nigerians are daily flocking to Saudi Aramco and Qatar Petroleum to look for jobs that NNPC could easily have created here in Nigeria. Yet they still have mouth to talk. If I hear phim from any chop-chop Union ehn...... The clean up must continue. We want a brand new NNPC. If you have been thrown out and you feel you are still good go to one of the new Independents like Seplat or Aramco and proof yourself there. Why are you disturbing us here? |
![]() Miranda11:Good advice.. This @laudate fellow has been disturbing our ear drums with his wailing and lamentations. Few weeks ago Shell announced they will let go 6500. Nobody heard hues and wailings . As a matter of fact retrenchment has been a recurring theme in Shell since 1998. That NNPC stinks is known by all. Go and find out how much NNPC is owing their JV operators (ExxonMobil, chevron, Total, Shell , Addax , etc), in unpaid cash calls you will weep. On top of this they refuse to remit the proceeds from sale of their 60% equity oil to government as required by law. NNPC has practically crippled the oil industry making it impossible for operators to fund new investment and execute annual work programs and budgets agreed with the same NNPC. All these was going on in an era when oil price was sky high at over $100/barrel. So what happened to oil the money? Dr Kachickwu is even lenient, the NNPC bad eggs should be investigated, prosecuted and jailed for economic sabotage. They are going home with fat severance packages plus all the proceeds of their looting the nation blind and they are still complaining. If I hear we-e-eeeee again ehn Proof of due process my foot ![]() |
True face of Islam. Purest form of Islam is being practised by ISIL, ISIS and Boko Haram. |
Any damage history? Can you PM me the VIN report? |
When will it be the turn of ex gov Uduaghan? That ogbolo head he goat must vomit Delta State money |
I see something very brilliant in that Minister for Special Duties post. Quote me. I believe Buhari wants to create a de facto Prime Minister with that post. Something similar to Idiagbon's role as Chief of Staff Supreme Headquarters. It will be like the Coordinating minister in the cabinet. Above this, Buhari can assign any problematic ministry or got agency under him to take care of. This kind of role is by far superior to Each chairman. I hope Bakare accepts. |
LRNZH:Please please guys, let's not derail this wonderful thread with tribal argument. I beg LRNZH:Please please guys, let's not derail this wonderful thread with tribal argument. I beg |
Obiagelli:Hmmmm. Good to see that people are beginning to say what they believe in their hearts but couldn't voice out before because of elections. There is yet hope for our nation |
thatnaijabae:One sure sign is always suspecting all your moves, even with a cousin!!! Lack of trust is another. If someone is monitoring all your movements and does not give you space to live a normal live, then the guy is insecure. That one is not love. He is simply over controlling you. |
thatnaijabae:It means the men you date are insecure. Go with a guy who is secure and can trust you always. |
Rochas won't you go and patch pot holes and rehabilitate decaying schools in Imo State? We are tired of this Obama, Obama mantra. Get over it and go back to work. Abi you want to marry him after he rejected Mugabe's proposal? |
Fact #1: Nigerian girls hate reading newspapers or listening to news on TV. Fact #2: Nigerian girls, and women in general, only tune to Telemundo or African Magic. All other channels or haram (forbidden) |
The CHANGE we deserve - Southern Generals swept aside to make way for Maj Gen Burantai |
iamrealdeji:Abi na Mr Flintstone you wan talk? |
themilanway:Nobody is holding or preventing Buhari from fixing Nigeria. As a matter of fact, no Nigerian leader has ever stepped into that office with so much goodwill, prayers for success, and huge benefit of doubt like Buhari. Even those he unjustly persecuted and maimed have all forgiven him and praised him to high heavens, just to give him chance to start afresh and succeed. He is almost being deified. People are becoming worried that he will begin to see himself as god, who could do no wrong. Right now, Buhari's greatest enemy is Buhari. The country is all his to make or break. He is already beginning to take illegal steps forgetting he is operating in a democratic environment with checks and balances. There is also the free press, and the eagled eye public with social media which did not exist during his last coming as Military Head of State in 1984. For example, the Service Chiefs he has just appointed should have been vetted and approved by the National Assembly before they start working. Buhari is either not yet aware, or feels he can get away with it. As of today, there are no substantive Services Chiefs. If a lawyer takes this up legally, we shall see another round of heat in the polity. All these can be avoided because all he had to do is present the names to National Assembly, and they will be approved. GEJ ran into this problem with the last set of service Chiefs. |
