iyatrustee:The girls create this market and nurture it to maturity. Take Palms/Shoprite in Lekki for example. This is the premier modern shopping Mall with nice restaurants and cinema for family outings. Runs girls started coming around during the day and early evenings to parade themselves, sit around pretending to be taking snacks, and wink at people, loiter around the car parks pretending to be waiting for someone. Before long men started picking up the signals Everyone enjoyed the experience, and nobody thought about going to Palms to look for babes, or to buy sexx until runs girls arrived the scene. So who created the market Men or Runs Girls ![]() Oniru and Lekki Phase-1 was an upscale neighbourhood hosting top company executives and expatriates. High class Runs girls have invaded these areas, and taken up residence by renting a flat and sharing among 5-10 of them to bring down cost per head. The people who reside in Lekki and Oniru are not their clients. These people were minding their business before these daughters of Jezebel arrived. ![]() TRUTH IS RUNS GIRLS ARE CREATING AND SUSTAINING THE FLESH TRADE MARKET WHERE NON-EXISTED BEFORE. THEY ARE DESTROYING THE VALUE OF PROPERTIES AND ATTRACTING PEOPLE OF QUESTIONABLE CHARACTERS, INTO OTHERWISE NICE NEIGHBOURHOODS. |
fagbalex:Bolded is strange way to look at issues. I am sure you have commented on variety of issues on Buhari and other previous Nigerian Presidents. Did you contest for the post of President before voicing those issues? ![]() Buhari will be president of Nigeria, not a section or component of it. In democracy the plurality of opinions must be considered. That does not amount to dictating to the Buhari. In any case, the original post was about the need for representation from other sections to be of similar quality as Ahmed Joda and Mansur Ahmed. To right thinking people that is a positive suggestion. Buhari indeed has a lot to fear from those who are trying to overprotect him. It is this kind of attitude that will eventually insulate GMB from the masses and contrary views. He does not need this kind of protection. This has been the bane of African leaders - being surrounding by "yes men", who only tell him sweet words. It is toxic. |
barackodam:When you are good, you are good, and everyone can see it. Nothing succeeds like success. Nobody wants a failure. Abeg you don pass your JAMB? |
Sunnybobo3:I knew they will just be waiting in the wings to swoop in. |
ziccoit:What is the big deal about paying for oil block? Where did the seamstress Funsho Alakija get money to pay for Agbami, one of the largest deepwater oil blocks in Nigeria given to her by the IBB regime? Even more so, where did she get the money to fund her own share of the development cost of this field which ran into billions of US$ when she was penniless at that time. My guy if you are awarded a juicy oil block, financial institutions will literally break down your door to help you finance the purchase and fund the development. IOC's and others will harass you daily to allow them to Farm-into the block in return for some equity oil. And you don't even have to know the difference between crude oil and kerosene. This country ehnn. God will judge and punish all these corrupt people who have conered our commonwealth for themselves, friends and family members (cousin, inlaw, etc) ![]() |
Time to mount saddle has come. Those who laboured are in the shade. |
doctokwus:Perhaps. But then Festus Odimegwu has zero political experience. This is attested to by him opening his mouth wide about how he will correct the historically doctored Northern census figure. It did not take long for powerful figures in the North to ensure he is kicked out of Nigerian Population Commission (NPC) even before the ink on this appointment paper was dry. He is already hobbled and humbled by the North, he has no clout, and dare not open his mouth unnecessarily, else they will just sideline him or use him to gather and analyse data for others to take decisions behind his back. I am still not impressed. |
Mansur Ahmed and Ahmed Joda (old super perm sec of Gowon era) will be the real driving force and bedrock of not only the transition but also GMB regime. These people will likely make it his cabinet as well. The North has sent in strong quality people. Who are those representing the South?? * Rotimi Amaechi (no more political base. Not cerebral enough. Easy to distract with some rabble rousing task) * Ogbonnaya Onu (follow-follow, and voiceless) * Lai Mohammed (no comment) * Odigie Oyegun (APC Chairman. Too distracted by myriad of post-election party affairs) * Some nameless tag alongs in ill-fitting suit and weather beaten shoes (front row) * Two unknown women BIG QUESTIONS: (1) WHY ARE KAYODE FAYEMI and RAJI FASHOLA MISSING FROM THIS TRANSITION TEAM. THEY WORKED THIER AS.S OFF DURING THE CAMPAIGN. THEY WILL NOT BE IN ANY ELECTIVE OFFICE FORWARD, SO THEY ARE AVAILABLE. (2) WHO IS JAGABAN'S POINTSMAN IN THIS GROUP? (3) WHY IS AMAECHI AND OYEGUN SITTING AS SPECTATORS AMONG THE CROWD? (3) WHY IS AHMED JODA OCCUPYING SUCH PROMINENT POSITION ON GMB’S LEFT. SHOULD THAT NOT BE OYEGUN’S RIGHTFUL PLACE? JODA’S HIGH TABLE SEATING ALREADY SPEAKS VOLUMES OF HIS PROMINENCE AND SENIORITY IN THE SCHEME OF THINGS GOING FORWARD. (4) SINCE WOMEN ARE REQUIRED TO BALANCE OUT THE CABINET, WHERE IS THE STRONG AMAZON, ABIKE DABIRI? Nothing personal against, Ahmed Joda. He is a seasoned civil servant in same class as Phillip Asiodu, when civil service was populated by the best and brightest. My worry is when the South sends in 2nd eleven, the North sends in the best and top rate people. Hahahahahaha. The game has already started!!! And the referee has not even blown the whistle!!!! Hmmmmmm. We are watching ![]()

5. Senators and House of Rep fixing huge salaries, allowances and perks for themselves. Nigerian senators earn more than American President. In Dec 2014, the son of Senate Majority Leader, Senator Ndoma Egba showed off the obscene opulence of his father’s official house and cars in Abuja. See Linda Ikeji blog: http://lindaikeji..com/2014/12/sen-ndoma-egbas-son-shows-off-interior.html

Other issues discussed: 1. Allocating over 20 official cars to themselves. Included in motorcade of governors are fully kitted ambulance, machine gun mounted security vehicles with enough arms to fight a war, hitech communication vehicle, grooming staff+vehicle, catering staff+vehicle, media staff+vehicle. 2. Fat and unbelievable severance and retirement package by governors. 3. Cornering of state resources for the comfort of their immediate family members, extended family and cronies. 4. Excessive travels by government officials to silly and useless international conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and obscure foreign events. |
Watch Prof Utomi and Rev George Ehusani discussing passionately the greed of political office holders allocating huge resources to themselves such as plenty official cars, etc

When Harold Ekeh was accepted into all eight Ivy League schools, he didn't boast about his amazing feat. Instead, he thanked his teachers and parents. The Nigerian-American teen came to the United States at the age of eight. His family lives in Elmont, New York, where Ekeh attends Elmont Memorial High School. Ekeh isn't your average high school senior. He scored a 2270 on the SAT, according to Patch, and was a semifinalist in the Intel Science Talent Search. He's editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, and vice-president of the Model United Nations. Feeling inadequate yet? Ekeh was also the homecoming king. He told Yahoo he hopes to become a neurosurgeon, a field he became interested in after his grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. First, he has the pleasure of choosing between Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale. According to New York Magazine, Ekeh was also accepted to MIT, NYU, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, and SUNY Stony Brook. Ekeh told Fox News Insider that he wrote his admissions essay about how his parents' resilience and determination to succeed in America inspired him. "You can accomplish great things if you work hard and persevere," he told Newsday. |
I only have one advice for Buhari: Don't lose this one again oooooo!!! ![]() Jega will not issue duplicate.

I struggled to come up with names of seasoned technocrats from core North. Guys lets throw names of good people, preferably young and energetic, from the North on the table. Say what you know about them. Because there will be intense pressure on Buhari to give key, and sensitive positions to Northerners as well. And now he has the added albatross that his appointees must be performers and must have high integrity. To make Buhari's job even tougher, the precedent has been set by OBJ and GEJ to appoint more women into key positions. Certainly there are many of them out there. After all, if GEJ did not appoint Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as CBN Governor, we would never have known him. Also if Atiku did not bring Nasir El-Rufai into BPE we would not know him. |
vantage7:Totally agree with you. Out of all the Ministers in GEJ's govt Akinwumi Adesina (Agric Minister) and Segun Aganga (Min for Trade & Investment) stood out like bright lights. It felt strange to think that goats like Abba Moro and Devils-Day Orubebe sat in the same cabinet with these fine gentlemen. Just looking at Akinwumi reminds me of Fashola. It will be a shame to loose a guy like that. |
Everyone seem to have forgotten Dele Alake. Minister of Information would suit him, even though he is more of an Information Strategist. He was commissioner for Information & Strategy under Tinubu and is the genius behind the awesome information machinery of APC campaign organisation. Lai Mohammed?? I am not too sure about what his public perception would be. |
Nigerian stock market performance today witnessed huge gains unprecedented in the history of Nigerian Stock Exchange Fourteen stocks post >10% gain today, 1st April 2015. Five other equities posted better than 9% daily gain. See attached daily market report. I believe this performance is largely due to portfolio investors, pension funds, foreign investors who had hitherto pulled all thier money out of the market in fear that the Presidential elections will be violent, and will lead to implosion of the country. Thank God they have been proved wrong. Even more so thank God I was busy piling up good stocks, while people wasted their energy abusing themselves on NL. ** Dancing shoki ** ![]() |
arewafederation:Rotimi Amaechi is too brash for these two offices. Need a cool-headed guy who will not start chasing his enemies real and imagined. A solid ministerial portfolio should be OK |
fonzie2u:That guy Tonye Princewill from Rivers State is pure brain. I listened to him once, read his interview next, and I was sold. I read some political analysis somewhere that he some secret agreement with Amaechi for him to move to LP to weaken the LP/PDP alliance in Rivers State. It is still possible Amaechi will bring him back from the cold. We need such people badly. It baffled me why PDP, his former party, kept such wonderful people from the epicenter of their government. Anyway, too late now! |
egift:I definitely thought about these two. I have my reservations about Utomi on account of how he ran Volkswagen of Nigeria (VON) aground. As a member of the economic team, yes since he understands the underlying currents of Political-Economy purely from theoretical perspective. I believe he also has high level of personal integrity. |
shaddoww:I just hope they can find a very prominent and pivotal role for Fashola. He is an astute planner and executor. If he had the kind of free hand he desired, Lagos could have been even better than it is today. I see Fashola one day becoming the President of this country. |
Having concluded collation and announcement of all results that came in to INEC's headquarters today, Prof Jega has suspended further collation today. Collation will continue tommorrow (Tuesday, 31/3/2015) morning by 10am 18 states including FCT have been collated and announced. 18 states still outstanding, among them Lagos and Rivers. Even though the number of states still outstanding appear much, I do not believe these results will alter in any meaningful way the current lead by General Buhari, candidate of APC. My projection in a separate thread: https://www.nairaland.com/2227463/projection-2015-presidential-election-general#32182204 |
I project Buhari will win this poll by a comfortable margin. See my earlier thread on this projection: https://www.nairaland.com/2227463/projection-2015-presidential-election-general#32182204 |
femzysticks:Hahahahahaaa-a-a-a-a. ![]() Ol' boy you done broke my ribs with lafta ![]() If not for electoral law, this is a very good suggestion. |
You need a very meticulous, organised, and tireless worker to hold the position of SGF. Fashola fits this bill. The office of the SGF is the engine room of the Presidency. You need a trusted, loyal party man who understands the workings of government and has indepth knowledge of the visions and manifesto of the party. |
normaljenny:Very funny. ![]() No, I am not. But you can project. |
ednut1:Okonjo-Iweala and Allison Madueke can never be in Buhari's government. Haba, bros!! How is that one is even possible? Fashola will definitely play a key role in Buhari's. For him, I will even hazard a guess that he will be the Secretary to Federal Government (SGF) |
• Senator Bola Tinubu’s nominees (x5) • Gov Adam Oshiomole’s nominees • Gov Rochas Okorocha’s nominees • Gov Idris Wada’s nominee |
It is difficult to figure out likely ministerial nominees from the North West, North East and North Central and South-South regions. The following governors and key stakeholders will be asked to submit names: • Gov Kwankwanso’s nominees • Gov Aliyu Wammakko’s nominee • Abubakar Atiku’s nominees • Chief Obasanjo’s nominees • Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s nominees |
For all practical purposes, even though the results are still being collated, I am deeply convinced that General Buhari will win this election by a very comfortable margin. It is also my believe that President Jonathan will graciously concede defeat in a very mature and rancour free manner. He will not contest the results in court even though his acolytes and party men will stridently want him to. I believe, GEJ does not want to leave office looking like a sore loser. Having said all these, it is safe to say that the 2015 Presidential Elections has been won and lost. The elections are over!!! What then will be the likely composition of General Buhari's cabinet? From keen observations of Buhari's campaign organisation, Buhari's utterances during the campaigns, and the actions and activities of various key actors in Gen Buhari's camp, I believe the following will either be in his cabinet or play key roles in his government. It is obvious from Buhari's utterances during the campaigns that he will run a government whose policy direction and key economic decisions will be dictated by " a team". He kept harping on this. The possible names are: • Dr Kayode Fayemi (former governor of Ekiti State) • Senator Olorunimbe Mamora (he vacated his senate seat for Remi Tinubu, Sen Tinubu's wife) • Gov Raji Babatunde Fashola • Abike Dabiri (former member House of Representatives) • Baba Ahmed (former Ambassador, and former INEC Secretary) • Gov Rotimi Amaechi • Gov Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso (he is contesting a senatorial seat, but could likely accept a cabinet post) • Prince Tonye Princewill (LP governorship candidate in Rivers State) • Ben Akubueze (former MD NAL Merchant Bank, and Hon Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget in Lagos State) • Dr Adesina Akinwumi (Minister of Agriculture in Jonathan’s cabinet) • Dr Chris Ngige (senator, and former governor of Anambra State) • Oby Ezekwesili |
Based on all indications and projections from SW, NW, NE NC and Middle belts states, General will most certainly win the 2015 Presidential elections by a comfortable margin. For all practical purposes, even though the results are still being collated, I am deeply convinced that General Buhari will win this election by a very comfortable margin. It is also my believe that President Jonathan will graciously concede defeat in a very mature and rancour free manner. Having said all these, it is safe to say that the 2015 Presidential Elections has been won and lost. The elections are over!!! Please state your own projections and opinion, but no insults please. CONGRATULATIONS GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI !!!! |
