Source: Vanguard Newspaper Resident Electoral Commissioner, Rivers state, Dame Gesilia Khan Sunday night said elections held in the 23 local government areas of the state. In a statement last night she said the agent of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ikwerre local government area, Mr Steve Worgu signed for all documents, including result sheets for Ikwerre local government area, the governor’s local government. “The Presidential, senatorial and House of Representatives elections held In the 23 Local government areas in the Rivers state on March 28, 2015.”, she said. Continuing, she said at the time governor Chibuike Amaechi demanded for the result sheets in his ward at Ubima, voting had not started. “At the stage the governor of Rivers state Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi complained of not sighting the election result sheet, voting has not commenced, that was merely accreditation stage which has noting to do with result sheets. Please note that the governor of Rivers state went to the poll as a voter and not as a governor. INEC wishes to inform the general public that the law does not permit everyone to be shown the result sheet, hence all political parties are expected to have their party agents at the distribution centres to ensure that the material both sensitive and non-sensitive are all complete before election officials proceed to the field. Also the agent at the polling units are expected to ensure that materials are complete before election commences. Where there is a shortfall the party agent will have it in their report and submit complaint to INEC. It is on record that APC accredited political party agent who was present at the INEC office Ikwerre local government t area office , Steve Worgu signed that the materials both sensitive and non sensitive distributed at the local government area were complete, including result sheet before the officials proceeded to the field", she said. |

SITREP @ BAYELSA. 8:30pm • In Sagbama, materials arrived late. Manual accreditation used due to failure of Card Readers. • No ink in markers in the indelible marker pens that was used to authenticate. Actual voting started at 2pm • No officials of INEC at Ekeremor LGA. Materials not available in many units. Yesterday when Channels TV visited INEC office, it was confirmed that materials for Ekeremor have been despatched |

SITREP @ PLATEAU STATE 8:34pm • Widespread failures of card readers in Plateau • Voting still going on in parts of Plateau. • In most areas accreditation was still in progress till 3pm. • In Tudun-Wada area, voting and counting is still going as at 8pm • In some units manual accreditation was already in use even before Jega announced this should be used wherever card readers have failed. SITREP @ OTUOKE, BAYELSA. 3:00 - 3:30pm • President Jonathan, his wife and mother successfully cast their vote • Gov Anambra State, Willie Obiano called GEJ complaining bitterly about non-working of card readers in Anambra. Gov Obiano was boiling, but GEJ said he told him to calm down that the problem is not limited to Anambra alone. • GEJ called Enugu State Governor to confirm reported bomb blast. The Gov dispelled the rumour. He said it was just a mere scare. During a routine search of a vehicle what appeared to be Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was discovered. This turned out to be a false alarm. |

SITREP @ NIGER STATE No voting in 20 polling units in Niger State SITREP @ IBADAN, OYO STATE • Peaceful accreditation • Voting has commenced. • Ajimobi accredited. Commends INEC raising the standards, and confirms this election to be the freest, most credible exercise. • Akinyele LGA: Few Card Readers in some areas gives rise to very slow accreditation. • Some Card Readers had low battery problem initially. These were sent for charging • Mapo, Apata, Lagelu and other areas: Visible presence of various security personnel and Anti-bomb Squads. |

SITREP @ RIVERS STATE • Sporadic shooting at Obio/Akpor area • 12noon: Voting materials just arrived at Akpor Primary School poling area • Accreditation carried out manually in Opobo/Nkoro LGA • Sporadic shooting in 17 wards of Obio/Akpor LGA • In Okrika, PVC which were not available to voters during collection period suddenly becomes available in polling stations • Party agent caught with fake result sheets and photocopy of voters register in Obio/Akpor LGA • Rotimi Amaechi appearing very angry and combative refuses to have himself accredited until he sights the INEC Result Sheet. I wonder if any voter has the right to sight all INEC sensitive material before exercising his civic duty. Even the President of Nigeria did not display such interference and arrogance at his polling unit when he could not be accredited. |

SITREP @ KANO • Accreditation ongoing at Kwankwankso , Bypass and other Polling Areas peacefully. • Late arrival of materials. Voters waited patiently until materials arrived. • INEC ad-hoc officials said delays and difficulties in logging into the Card Reader prevented early start of accreditation. • Problems with finger prints authentication. INEC officials resorting to Incident Forms. • Kano REC Commissioner (Alhaji Mukaila): • 87% of PVC distribution achieved. • All sensitive materials have been distributed. • Kano has about 5m registered voters. |

POLLING UNIT 39, WARD 13 OTUOKE, BAYELSA • GEJ confirmed he is has just spoken with INEC Chairman, Prof Jega to ensure there are no hitches elsewhere across the country. • Urges Nigerians to endure the temporary pain and undergo the process. SITREP @ DAURA, KATSINA STATE It took the officials about 10min to accredit Buhari and his wife Aisha. The process went smoothly. SITREP @ LIFE CAMP, GWARIMPA, GARKI, ABUJA • INEC officials arrived late. People waited endlessly for INEC officials • Innovative voters decided to buy an exercise book to write down names of voters who arrived as early as 8am to prevent chaos when INEC officials start accreditation. Over 400 names written down in that particular polling unit before arrival of INEC officials. |

SITREP @ KABALA VOTING UNIT, KADUNA: POLLING UNIT OF VP SAMBO • As at 10 am the polling unit was besieged by voters who had arrived since 8am waiting for INEC officials who were yet to arrive. • 10:05 am – INEC officials finally arrive the polling unit. • 11:30am – VP Nnamani Sambo arrives this unit, and was accredited without any hitch. SITREP @ GBOKO, BENUE STATE After initial delays in commencement of accreditation, the process is proceeding peacefully. SITREP @ ASABA, DELTA STATE (IJEOMA OSOMOR AIT ANCHOR @ ASABA) • Large turnout of voters at various polling units. • Process is moving smoothly INTERVIEW WITH DELTA STATE POLICE COMMISSIONER: • There is adequate presence of security personnel. • A total of 15000 policemen deployed across Delta. • There were some incidents around Ughelli area due to late arrival of materials • Hoodlums disrupted elections in a polling unit in Isoko • Army provided security to move sensitive election material. Everything went smoothly.

aguiyi:This is beyond allegation. @Enouwem has used his IT skills to dig out the hacker's facebook name, page, email address, etc. It is now left for INEC to take this information and carry out a quick assurance check that its database has not been tampered with, copied or compromised in any way. The security agencies should also swing quickly into action to apprehend this guy and all his accomplices. If he is carrying out the hacking from outside Nigeria, as is usually common with this type of attacks, then counterpart foreign intelligence agencies overseas should be contacted to help track this guy down. |

If this thug, Ise Aye had spoken in same way to him in the privacy of their political gathering, he will attend to him and would not be offended. Tinubu did not come out to deny the chap outright. Sunavico:This has been my experience as well. There is a newspaper stand next to Nicon Estate gate Lekki, on the road to Spar, beside Total filling station. Okada men and other free readers hang around there. I make a point to hear from them what they feel. They seem to be unanimous that they are voting for Jimi Agbaje because they don't believe Ambode will be able to govern without Tinubu's interference. Also, yesterday I was shocked to see a young man debate with his auntie in a supermarket she runs in Lekki phase-1 opposite Delta Afrik building, that young people like him are determined not to live again under Tinubu's shadow. He was adamant he will vote for anybody who can standup to Tinubu. He said Jimi Agbaje represents that change for them in Lagos. 1 Like |

aljharem:True. I know about MC Oluomo as one of Tinubu's chief thugs since the days of ACN. He eventually became NURTW chairman. CNN did a documentary on him last year. Ise Aye is one of Tinubu's foot soldiers. That is how they use them to do dirty jobs: assassinate political opponents, rig elections, snatch election material, deface and destroy opponents election posters and banners. Just take a drive along 3rd Mainland bridge and see the results of their efforts on JK Agbaje's posters. When they are through with them, they dump them. 1 Like 1 Share |

dolapobello1:What is there to LOL about? We should rather be sad about incidents like this because it is an incontrovertible evidence that INEC voter database, results database, and voters register can indeed be compromised by hackers. This does not bode well for a credible elections. INEC must immediately carry out assurance check on all their databases and assure Nigerians that integrity of the polls have not been compromised already even before voting starts. |

Time: 11:02am: The President Jonathan and his wife have returned to polling unit #39 for a second attempt at accreditation via identification since the Card Reader could not work. They have just gone through the accreditation via identification in about 4 minutes. They have left the polling unit to return around 1pm when voting is expected to commence to cast their votes. Thus far, only 14 voters have been accredited out of the over 600 registered voters in this polling unit. There is a large turnout of voters. The process is rather slow. |

Mr Kpadie Bayela Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC): • PEJ and GEJ could not be accredited and had to go home after waiting for 2 hours. • We are very embarrassing and highly disappointed by this failure to accredit the President. • I have no information if other people in this polling unit have been accredited. • I have no details to give you yet. I am not a technical man Channels TV Anchor at The President’s Polling Unit: JEGA has directed that REC should accredit PEJ and GEJ by identification via the voter’s register. Ima Niboro of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN): • The inability of the President and his wife to be accredited is very sad and embarrassing. • This is just one individual experiencing challenges. We just wonder what millions of Nigerians are going through. • Card Reader rejected my index finger four times, before it was accepted. Suleiman Aledeh (Channels TV): • Information from Channels Reporter at the President’s unit confirmed that the President and his wife could indeed not be accredited. • The President displayed very statesmanly disposition by advising Nigerians to be patient and endure personal inconvenience as he had demonstrated so they can vote. Dr Bakili Muluzi, President of Malawi and Chairman Commonwealth Observer (speaking by phone to Channels TV from Abuja): I was quite impressed by the President’s demonstration of statesmanship by encouraging people to be patient and go through the process in spite of hiccups. All Nigerians should cooperate with INEC to ensure the process is successful. |

Bluetooth2:Totally agree with you to the elevate the debate and discussion above propaganda, and face issues squarely. But will Buhari agree to face his opponent in an open, unscripted debate? If he is afraid to debate GEJ, why can't he at least agree to question and answer session with journalists without those questions being submitted first for his handlers to prepare answers for him to memorise. The Townhalls are just too scripted to get anything out of him. Besides, Fashola and Oyegun do not help matters by always stepping in to help tackle difficult questions. |
