Yes, but judging the guy from this story may be wrong. Its possible the frustrated man went to the kitchen, didn't find food, ask wife if she cooked and wife is busy on phone with a male friend. Easy o and i have no shame in saying this. This is personal experience anyways. I do take care of my hair myself which isn't a problem.
