I CAN'T WAIT TO MARRY A RICH GIRL, SO WE CAN LIVE IN LOVE, PEACE AND HERMONEY - CUVOX, 2015 Written By #Canice_Dim . Sitting close to her in church, he looked focused on what the preacher was saying. Suddenly, Helena's phone beeped... It was a text message. She stretched for her phone beside her to see what it was this time. The number one suspect was MTN and their anooying "love messages". Raising the phone, she must have pressed OK when the phone slipped off his hands onto Tayo's body. Immediately, As a nice guy he always wants to seem, Tayo got hold of the big-screened phone and had a sharp sweeping glance at the message on the phone, He couldn't believe it. It was GTB's alert and the amount was #2, 350, 503. 00... Whaaattt? Considering how fast Tayo gave her back the phone, Helena never suspected he saw it. Even if he saw it, she wouldn't mind. Believe me.lol . At the end of the service, Tayo "marked" Helena so closely and managed to start a convo. It was swift, he got her number and everything started happening fast. You don't meet this opportunity everyday. A babe with 2million in her account? Chineke Lekwe !!! . 3 weeks after, Tayo shocked Helena with a marriage proposal. Helena was a church sister. She doesn't believe in dating. She believes that the man that would marry her should come straight up with a proposal. Tayo has fit into that. "Oh Tayo must be a Godly man" she reasoned... He didn't even ask for her to come visit his house... Unlike other guys, he didn't ask for sex. Now, he proposed? What a lucky girl Helena believed she was. . Piam... Piam... Piam... Tayo and his people had come for the introduction. Now, they have the list. It's not that expensive. He hustled to raise some cash and piam! They ve done the marital rites. What a sharp guy !!! He did his best to avoid letting Helena know that her money was the main attraction why "everything" was happening, so he never asked her abourrit. . On that same night, while they were in the room enjoying themselves, Helena's phone beeped again. Another text message. Helena pressed some buttons and Lo, it was the same alert again. This time around, the amount has risen to 3 million naira. Helena hissed... Tayo jumped up from the bed wondering why his new found maga of a wife would hiss like that, as he glanced through the phone once again, and didn't know when he shouted "Woooowwww". But Helena would need his help; . "Daddy, please I'm tired of this text message that is always putting me in trouble. My aunty that is in Canada opened an account using my phone number as the contact number a day before she travelled. She did it on emergency. But now, I want to inform the bank to remove my phone number from that account before armed robbers would see this alert in my phone and attack me." . On hearing this, Tayo froze in shock with his mouth and eyes wide open, as he couldn't believe what he just heard. He can't seem to breathe well again... . "EEEeeeeeehhhhhhH " Was the only loud scream that he could utter. . "Baby'm... Is anything the matter"... Asked Helena who was now surprised... **************************** . Can Someone Here Please Answer Helena Abeg... I No Sure say Tayo Go Survive This Shock, hehehe... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=902226036481374&substory_index=0&id=100000819577243&_ft_&__tn__=%2As

Parents, please don't give your children everything they want and ask for.
If you worked hard to get to wherever you are today, what you truly owe your children is basic education, then a solid shove on the behinds when they complete their university education.
Cut them loose.
Set them free.
Don't even oblige them money for "chingum".
Make them learn that hardwork pays.
Yes, we all pray for our children to enjoy what we did not but frankly speaking, there should be a limit to that privilege.
We are raising a generation of entitled children. Poor, little rich kids.
I look at a lot of people on this platform and see people who hustled their way up to where/who they are today, and are still hustling to etch THEIR names in history. They are not bothered about who/what their parents are/were.
It is laughable to watch a young adult brag, "my father this, my father that". Yes, that is your father but YOU, who ARE you?
What would we have to say of you?
What name are you building for yourself?
By Jove, only use your family name and riches as a catalyst and not a crutch. It is character forming to set your own goals, make your own achievements and chalk any failures or successes up to experience!
If you are still talking about my father was, my mother was... then the teenager who shines shoes by the roadside and carefully saves the money in a little tin box under his pile of clothes has more pedigree than you do.
We may yet see that teenager one day lead corporations and nations while you jerk off to a family name.
Seriously parents, can we all agree as one to shove them as soon as they have gotten at least a degree? Kick them out and lock the doors behind them? Tune out their whinings for money and other trappings? You can start now by making them work for certain chores in the house.
Pay them for it and celebrate that "salary".
Discuss how they plan to spend that money and teach them to save a little bit of it.
Open an account for them and teach them to spend only on essentials. You are the parent, you can spend on non-essentials for them, but ensure that every time they need to draw down on their own savings, their hard earned money, you have a sit down with them and weigh the pros and cons of the proposed spending.
I know I do this with my daughter.
She will be a billionaire, but because she worked hard for it.
No whining is allowed around me.
The day my daughter brags about, "my mother is" or "my father has", I will bitch slap those words back into her belly. She does not even get the right to order my domestics around because I pay them, she doesn't. I have explained that carefully.
Someone who is working for her money deserves maximum respect from someone who waits for mummy to do it all for her. If you want to order her around, her salary is x amount of naira. Pay it and you can be in charge for a month.
I discuss bills with my daughter, I discuss income and expenses. She knows exactly how much I make and where every single dime of that money goes. She does not DEMAND for extras, she ASKS nicely and YES, she has a high taste so I make her understand it has to be budgeted for.
I never say YES the first time and I never stick to the same pattern.
Biko, train your children. No they are not circus monkeys that need "training", but if you leave them to their own devices, they end up circus monkeys anyway, so choose wisely!
I will certainly not contribute a spoilt, enabled and perpetually entitled child to the world. I will not contribute an offspring that will disgrace me. I will not add a human being that can not stand on his or her own two feet.
What about you? lalasticlala ,ishilove do you agree?

Romance › On Girls Paying Their Own Bride Price by cuvox(op): 8:39pm On Oct 13, 2015 |
This have been bothering me for quite some time now and I am glad a friend of mine on Fb took time to deal with this issue before I could I'm not capable to do her marriage rites, she wants to help me pay her bride price, what should I do?
On a serious note when I'm being asked this question, another question slides into my mind, What business does a man who can't pay bride price have with marriage?
Let's be realistic, If a man can't pay the bride pride of his woman, and at least organise a minimal marriage ceremony, Why should he think of marriage?
One very important prerequisite for getting married is financial maturity, I'm not saying you should have all the money, but at least be capable to fund your marriage, and have something left over to cater for your wife.
I'm not against a woman supporting her man, but its very unmanly for a woman to give you Money to pay her bride price. she is free to support in any other arrangement of the marriage but not paying her bride price.
I know love is so strong and we can do anything cos of it.
I'm not imposing my opinion on any one, but I think its more prestigious to borrow money from friends than get money from your yet to be wife, to pay her bride price.
let men seat up and stop using the name of love to relax.
It is a sign of relinquishing one’s authority as the head of the family to the woman. That is just how it starts. The man should not allow the lady’s desperation to overwhelm him and thereby make him take crazy decisions. He should wait till when he gets the money to pay the bride price. He should prove his capability to take care of the woman in the marriage.
The only thing the woman can do is to plead with her parents to perhaps reduce the amount for her partner. After all, paymentof bride price is not the determinant of success in marriage.
Allowing your woman pay her dowry might cause future issues, reference to that and telling you you're unfit. you know most women can talk, especially when heated up. its an exceptional woman who wouldn't refer to that when they have issues, and this kind of woman is always one out of one million, very rare to find.
But if you have such woman, No palaver, But ehmmmmm...
Its advisable to pay your woman's bride price, No matter the love you feel she has for you, Biko take the lead in that aspect. she can assist in other things.
Love is not all that matters, they're protocols you must observe to be taken serious and capable.
[b] Bottom line: If you can't pay a woman's bride piece, you ain't ready for marriage. Go and make money bro, marriage is a place to show your manliness.
Solomon Franklin Buchi Bartholomew but guys, seriously will you allow your wife to be give you money to pay her bride price? girls will you do it?? |

Politics › No Immunity For NASS Heads - Vanguard by cuvox(op): 6:54am On Oct 12, 2015 |
Predictable public outrage has trailed the proposal from a section of federal lawmakers to move to change the constitution to include the Senate President and his Deputy, Speaker of the House of Representatives and his Deputy as well as the Chief Justice of the Federation in the list of public officers to enjoy the immunity clause already granted the President and Vice President as well as Governors and their Deputies in the constitution.
The Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon Leo Ogor, had disclosed the proposed constitution amendment, perhaps in response to the travails of the President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, who is on trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) over alleged wrongful declaration of assets when he was the Governor of Kwara State.
Indeed, federal lawmakers have tended to resort to this measure as a means of protecting the sanctity of the National Assembly from the predatory antics of the Presidency which, in the past sixteen years, had been linked with several removals or attempted removals of the heads of the two chambers of the National Assembly.
But the Seventh Senate had firmly foreclosed the change of the constitution for this purpose through its Spokesman, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe earlier this year. Abaribe described the move as unnecessary and not within contemplation. He also pointed out that legislators already enjoy immunity under the Ethics and Privileges rule, which protects them from any punitive consequence of actions and things they say while in the hallowed chambers
We totally agree that this move is unnecessary if the protection of the leadership of the legislature from harassment is the issue. In recent years, lawmakers, especially our federal legislators, have demonstrated their ability to close ranks across party lines and protect their leadership when threatened by “external forces”. It is obvious that once the leadership continues to enjoy the support and confidence of members, the places are assured.
But if it is meant to shield them from criminal or alleged criminal misconduct, we totally oppose any such move. Public officers must answer for their misdeeds even while in office. We must strive to strengthen probity, accountability, transparency and integrity in public office, rather than introduce measures to promote impunity and corruption. The mood of the nation is more inclined towards the removal of the immunity that the constitution currently confers on the heads of the executive branch.
Though we are certain that this proposal will be soundly defeated in a proposed constitution amendment, we insist the nation should be spared the trouble of going into it at all.
Our lawmakers should pay more attention to issues that improve the conditions of citizenry. source : www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/no-immunity-for-nass-heads/ |
Politics › Saraki Replies Sun Newspapers Over Allegations by cuvox(op): 6:31am On Oct 12, 2015 |
Following news that the Senate President is planning with Tinibu to oppose the President, the man himself took to his facebook page to give his reply I saw the statement said to be issued by Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu over a story published by The Sun newspapers. I have decided not to join issues with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. However, I know that most Nigerians are aware that there has been no meeting or communication between me and Asiwaju Tinubu since I was elected Senate President. Therefore, I do not see any basis for a newspaper to report that we are both plotting to oppose the President.
I recognise Tinubu as one of the leaders of the APC who contributed so much to the victory of the party in the last election. Some other people also contributed and I believe the collective efforts made it possible for the first time in the history of our party for an opposition party to win the general elections,
Let me state clearly that I remain a committed member of the APC and will do all in my power to ensure the party fulfill its promises to bring positive changes into the country.
Since my election as Senate President, my focus and efforts have been devoted to doing the job that I was elected to do by my constituents and my colleagues in the Senate. Twice, my colleagues have confirmed their support for me as the primus inter pares in the Senate..
As I said in my speech when we resumed from our recess late September and in Ikenne yesterday, the screening of ministerial nominees will be handled by me and my colleagues with all sense of responsibility and in adherence to the provision of the constitution. We will be fair to all and be guided by the interest of Nigeria. The screening will be devoid of sentiment and it is not an opportunity for anybody to settle scores. We are equally eager for us to make a positive difference in our polity and Nigerians will be able to judge us whether we acted in their best interest or not. source : https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10153728045129962&id=53942489961&refid=28&_ft_=qid.6204626747903670052%3Amf_story_key.-7451961025743476822%3AeligibleForSeeFirstBumping.&__tn__=%2As CC lalasticlala ishilove

Xiadnat: Ideally, in relationships, one ought not to keep accounts of inflows and outflows etc, it isn't a balance sheet or a financial statement of any kind.
Love and relationships are not mathematical nor are they business; as the lingo in the article would suggest.
Ideally, 50-50, but it is nearly impossible. There are so many facets to relationships, that you cannot truly be 50-50 in all of those facets. Why? because you cannot be good in everything.
Instead, each person ought to find his/her strengths and focus on it, and then work to improve your weaknesses.
It's more like trade-offs, discounts and rebates really if you are going to stick with business terms.
Example:
If my husband is a little more outgoing in terms of romantic gestures of flowers, gifts, well perhaps with my personality I am a little more conservative; then it's more like 70-30% in that facet of our relationship.
However, he does not like cooking or doing laundry, but I do. So, I will gladly cook and make sure his tummy is full, and he has clean clothes. In this case, it's more like 70-30% in this facet of our relationship. It could also be 90-10%, but as the list goes on, I'm sure it all balances out somehow. And, even if it doesn't, that's the sacrifice you make.
Be that as it may, the point of this article is well taken though. It is to each couple to work out how they divvy up their relationships, and what they are comfortable with. thank you... but do we really have people who want to create the balance ? |

I don't just know who installed this mentality that a guy has to love the girl more than she loves him in a relationship. it's really making love so hectic and suffocating for guys.
Just yesterday i was at a friend's house discussing, and he started telling me of his past relationship and why he broke up after 3 years of dating this girl.
He started preparing for the girl's birthday a month before it came, Designed her photos, videos and other great lovely gifts in his way of celebrating her.
But when it was his birthday, Na facebook notification remind de girl.
E dey fair?
Aside that, She's would not really reciprocate his affection, gifts, and she hardly feels remorseful for doing what's wrong, leaving the capacity to make everything work to the guy.
After some time, He was emotional stressed, mentally too, Couldn't take any longer cos she was also proud of her wrongs, and now making it look as if the guy can't leave her, So he had to opt out.
These things happens daily, I've had my Share of it in the past.
If there's anything an average Nigerian girl fears, its a 50:50 relationship. I can remember a girl ran away from me cos I said I do 50:50, she said its not possible.
Guys, Show a woman love, if she doesn't reciprocate, My brother leave her no matter how much she claims to love you.
You use a girl's photo for DP, then you beg her to use yours? Mehn what kind of manipulation is that?
You call her sweet names, but you beg her to call you at least 'Dear'
When you're wrong, you apologise, when she's wrong, she takes more offence then manipulates you to feel guilty of her sins, so you're pushed to apologise when she's wrong, That's imprisonment!!!
The funny thing about it, is that you'll keep doing these things, being the fool, cos you read somewhere that to make your relationship work, you must let go of your ego and value the relationship.
Relationships that worth sacrifice, are relationships where our significant other values us and love us correspondingly.
My brother, love is like an investment, If you're putting in Your effort, and there's no tangible response from the other end, it is a bad investment, my brother change business.
It is better not to know a person than to know them and feel like you don't exist. If you're not treated special in your relationship, then you're not regarded as being valuable. Simply put, Your worth is not known.
And truly you can't be properly loved when your worth is unknown.
When your purpose is unknown, you can't be properly managed, And mismanagement brings about abuse.
Don't jump fence for someone who can't cross gutter for you..
If she's wrong and refuses to apologise, my brother take offence and walk away..
What's the essence of loving a person without feeling when you've wronged them?
Some people are in a relationship but still there's no division of labor, and when there's no division of labour, The load becomes much on the person. The load of calling them sweet names, showing affection, spending money, and etc, if its not divided, it'll crush you down.
Run for your life bro.
The greatest level of mental and emotional abuse is being in a relationship, giving out the best of you, and receiving little of none of them..
Don't ever place value on an abusive relationship. When it comes to issues like this, Value your ego first.
When you see girls who say a guy must love a Lady more, run from them, They'll kill you. The more you show them love, the less you'll get it from them..
Let me just add, When two people are really in love, they'll be no such thing as who's to love more. Cos love knows no quantity, When you truly love, you can't limit it, You just love.
After reading this, I'll like to hear testimonies jare. Its not easy being imprisoned for years, some of you up to 5years, some up to 3years. Be free in Jesus name.
Amen.

Politics › Save Me And Your Ministerial Nominees Will Go In Peace. If Not… by cuvox(op): 7:18pm On Oct 10, 2015 |
There was a meeting between the President, the speaker of the National assembly and the Senate President a couple of days back. We were told it was held to find a common ground between the executive and the legislative arm of government because of this ministerial nominees’ issue. However, with my knowledge of Nigerian government and politics. I believe the whole meeting has been “orchestrated” to help one man avoid going to the code of conduct tribunal on 21st of October. He has been able to use the ministerial nominees’ as the bargaining chip. You know what? He seems to be winning!! When the EFCC came with what they called “hard-evidence” against his wife, he was able to use his “manipulative rigmarole” to scare Lamorde and his EFCC boys away. As we speak Lamorde is hiding in a corner of his office, the way a rat runs for cover. He(Lamorde) is only interested in jailing small-time fraudsters that would not give him too much headache. He has been able to scare Lamorde away. Stay off my case if you want peace on that seat of yours. Lamorde seems to understand the “örder”. He is now a “good boy”. This is quite strange!! The Police said they’ve got some case against him sometime ago, but as we speak now the police seems to be less interested in the case. The way it is, the case is now in the cooler. Notin do am.. You can see the way the Appeal court “sauntered powerfully” into his case with the CCB. In the light of the meeting held with the President and other top members of the national assembly, I am not surprised with the curious ‘interest’ the appeal court is showing in this instance. I won’t be alarmed if he gets what he wants from the court I tell you. The man is suddenly very confident and the confidence is not for nothing. If you noticed the meeting that was held, the deputy senate President was not there. So it definitely couldn’t have just been the meeting of executive with the legislative members. It was a meeting meant to save one man and the deputy senate president’s presence could complicate issues. The talk would be simple: “Stop the case against me and you would see less drama with your nominees”. He initially “fumbled” with the idea of ”vetting” the President as the Petroleum minister but relented because he felt it could complicate his moves. However, he seems to have found other ways. We are at the sideline watching the chess game as it’s unfolding. We want to see how the Appeal court will tell a “big man” not to go to court and defend what is essentially a theft case. We will want to see how it is now a confirmation that a “big man” can be suspected of killing and nothing would happen. On October 16, we will all see the technicalities they want to bring out just to save one man. We are all watching… For now, I must confess that the man is adept at playing chess games. He is really “checking” out everybody in this game. However, no one is a fool…. I nor mention anybody name ooo!! I nor talk naada!! Ewolewooo!!! Dear Youth, Stop wailing that our fathers, grand fathers and great grand fathers still holds power even after many years, not giving us the chance as the leaders of tomorrow that never seems to come. Maybe we should help them graduate fast by reducing the tenure of office or place a compulsory retirement age, or better still rusticate them all.

I have seen others tribes mistreated but the whole country tend to play the blame game and the Ibo's suffer most. so don't use your myopic views to contradict my points...
