Very nice and good development! @Eko, you have been a bit absent on this board in the past few days if I observed correctly. I hope the feedback on the recent brouhaha in Lagos and Nigeria recently have the full attention of our leaders for immediate action. Abeg, do not relent in continuously making sure these feedback coming from the people reaches the right quarters so they can take real action.

Bliss4Lyfe: Please let us stop dis hype about Ngige. Dora almost disorganised him in his very own constituency and she is a woman not particularly popular amongst some ndiigbo she dealt with during her time at NFADAC.

If Ngige is the challenge then Soludo will tear him apart one at a time all the way to the polling station. Not that i have anything against Ngige but APC Buhari, Tinubu and Fashola are not particularly good news together for Ndiigbo. Eyes wide open, who sanctions their own captivity?

Vote Ngige if u want to be deported from Lagos and insulted by Yorubas on Nairaland and Killed up North by Boko Haram, with no investment of tangibility in the east to fall back on, if this one Nigeria collapse tommorrow.

Dis is wat any sensible Igbo person should consider not Ngige past glory of roads in his village and some favoured surrounding communities but something that will benefit all people of Anambra like Peter Obi Roads and Soludo developing onitsha into a commercial hub amongst many other things, benefit all Ndiigbo SS/MD and all people. Think before u give ur vote.

Glad you are voting who you want! Well, it is time to move yourself and things out of our lands! You hate your hosts who gave you a house to live after the war, a welcome back to your properties, a chance to prosper in their lands and not bombed or hacked like in the north, yet you desecrate our laws, our cultures, our leaders, our lands? Well, may you reap the fruits if your handiwork - be it good or bad. That said, no stories, we don't want you anymore in our lands either! Carry your loads, your car, your money anything you have, just go! You can't but hate the APC, you hated them before they were even a legal entity in Nigeria, no need to tell us why, we know! The reality that a SW party builds another formidable political party, deftly organizing itself with allies from a part of the north, gives you nightmares! They did not stop you from doing your own planning and strategy but you hate them because only the jews of Nigeria are supposed to be able to do such mega organizing efforts with success but they never did. Too bad, vote anything you want just leave our lands, shikenna!

Do you mean the billions he acquired before he become a governor ? Now,if you can't prove that Obi has stollen from Anambra then may almighty God of justice curse you and your lineage...May you be treated like a thief and disgraced even when you are innocent!

LMAO! grin grin Why you they curse the guy? Have you forgotten your 1 finger curse comes back 4 X back to your head and your lineage? I think you are Adaobi (P. Obi) on NL, hiding behind this ID. If not, show yourself!

I think it only responsible for men to grow up and eventually become a man. You are like a blind and a deaf man who is standing on a train track!

You mean obi is still a baby not able to figure out that 19 is greater than 16? Well, he is a lapdog to the retardeen anyway just like a minor who is still unable to think and take a definite independent position. Like him you are also his boy boy lapdog and the only reason? Na your tribesman! Prove it false if otherwise!

^^^Try and read outside your present Yorubacentric sphere of interest and you'd discover that the 'Okonkwos' developed a culture worthy of being proud of.....even long b/4 Nigeria was a thought, let alone a country! wink

As per your suggestion on checking the advance of 'the primitive invaders' (the window of opportunity you had but ignored in 1967 notwithstanding), and also checking the dilution of your 'pure' race; i suggest you read from Dr Mengeles script.......both of you share a lot in common and are kindred spirits!

smiley

There is no RECORDED OBJECTIVE HISTORY at all of your phantom development as you mentioned otherwise present it, making unsubstantiated statements does not make them true or people buy it . All said and done, that you lost the 1967 was as you mentioned is not an excuse to think it means an invitation to be owners in our ancestral lands - that will NEVER happen! What it guarantees you is the ownership of your lands in the 5 states of Nigeria. You can do whatever you like with it and turn it to Dubai but leave our lands for we do not welcome you anymore as guests, ungrateful guests. In every square inch of our lands, our people will begin to raise their Yoruba nationalism ever higher and it is in your interest to leave for our patience, will not be forever. Other peoples of Nigeria are most certainly welcome, in the north and far east of Nigeria, middle belt, Edos, etc but not you people. Like Osuji warned, it is a matter of time before you provoke the northern treatment but it is better you leave now and keep developing the country right there in your lands!
Politics / Re: Okorocha’s Suspension: Umeh’s Only Grandstanding – Okorie by CyberG: 11:32pm On Aug 05, 2013
Onlytruth: There is nothing wrong with starting from scratch in politics. Must we follow our leaders to hell if they insist on going to hell? Before now, I was not sure whether APC was good or bad for Ndigbo, but ever since Dr Ngige sided with Fashola over illegal deportations of Ndigbo from Lagos, and with the deafening silence of Okorocha over the same issue, I became convinced that APC cannot defend Igbo interest. As a matter of fact, PDP might even be better in that department.
I do not hide that I prefer APGA to unite SE in one political family/destiny, but I was open to any ideas of any party doing us good, until Fashola of APC struck!
So I say ANYTHING BUT APC! Hoohaa!

I am sure you know it is a lie like people don't know that from DAY 1, Ibos have always hated the APC! It does not matter what they did or did not, the fact that the strategists, founders and intellectual brain engines of the party started in the SW and North (Buhari especially), it was enough to hate the party well before registration! Only a paranoid hates what does not even exists yet and that is what you people did! Stop lying and embarrassing yourself though. While I wish you well in your APGA, all that I care about now and millions of people in the SW who are so disgusted by the ingratitude of the ibos we allowed to return back our lands, live and thrive, Professor Wole Soyinka who spent 22 months of his precious life in prison for standing up for biafra (his personal convictions), only to be insulted by the ibos because of a hippo first lady and husband who did not spend 1 day of their life fighting for this democracy, not to mention the god-like legend Chief Obafemi Awolowo and now Governor Fashola and the very last of the Yoruba baby who has been insulted by the "amala and oil soup" of your MASSOB, enough is enough - You must leave our lands! Go to the Hausaland if you want but you are no longer welcome! Vote PDP or APGA, we don't care at all!

Abagworo:

I believe Ogun tops at the moment in terms of medium and large scale but Abia still leads in small and medium scale though..

Good for them! I think it is high time the both southerly legs of Nigeria help to lift it by working with their people in their states and regions. You create Dubai, Taiwan, Japan, etc over there in SE, we create New York, London, Silicon Valley, China, etc over here in our Yoruba SW - this can only be the best for Nigeria. We can be neighbours from afar, we can meet in Abuja and further help the country but we absolutely do not want conflicts which is not our intention but could erupt by the constant provocation and disregard for our laws, our culture, our heritage, our lands, insults to our heroes like Chief Obafemi Awolowo and some of our contemporary leaders like Professor Wole Soyinka and Governor Fashola. An insult to the least person in Yoruba land is unacceptable where we gave you a chance to rent and live among us, something the other parts of Nigeria with even more land like the northerners will not do or give 5 people space but one day wake up and kill 50! You see the problem now? Any lands not owned or bought by Yorubas will not get C of Os, even if the company from the hostile people have billions of dollars and gold, invest it right there in Iboland and help lift Nigeria, broadcast it on our CNN, we will be happy and busy leading the way there too. This is the way of the future for Nigeria!

amarilo: A hungry man with land can sale to anybody as far as the person matched his price. Watch how UMU Igbo will be buying in Acres very soon. I even bought 5 plots from one Igbo man that bought from a community in Agbara. Watch out when my supermarket will be opened soon. We are the type of people ogun state govt need, people that will invest liquid money not people that are seeking for job like you.

You are very funny! I will not have a useless back and forth with you, whether I need a job or not is not your business. I am telling you now, it doesn't matter if you bought 50 plots, GO BACK and buy land in your village. There will be no C of O granted for non-Yorubas on our lands anymore, in case you think paying some money to buy land by force means anything. Before, there was abandoned property, the Yorubas are asking they don't want any abandoned land issue, so it is better to go to your place where you really own. We are proud of our lands and while we care not if others are so proud, it is our right to protect it! Buying land that C of Os will not be issued for is a waste of time and money! It is better you work hard in your land to elect Ngige or Soludo and turn it in to Dubai or Japan or anything else you like!

I think the report isnt even well researched. There are way more, as everyone is running down here now. Its safer, lesser task, and the host are wonderful folks.

Assog1, it is good to read what you posted! However, should you have the ears of the Ogun State government, let them read Nairaland to feel the pulses of the people especially the Yorubas for whom they are the custodian of power, our lands, heritage and culture. Our lands should be sold to only Yorubas and leased to any other foreigner ONLY! Big conglomerates can lease for even longer periods of time or buy for the maximum period of a least of 70 or 100 years I am not sure but not to the type of people who insult us like they did to Professor Wole Soyinka who fought for them and went to prison for 22 months, not people like Governor Fashola and certainly not to the least of the smallest of the Yorubas who own the lands! If they did it to Soyinka and Fashola, defending them today is ill-thought, a bad decision because tomorrow, Governor Amosun or whoever is there will be insulted! They even have the temerity to insult god-like legends like Chief Awolowo, they have so crossed the lines and there is no chance of keeping an enemy as a friend who will be the first to give you away were our lands under any conflict situation from external threats! We can all live in Nigeria and be one happy country, but we need all sides of Nigeria developed and so we now need them in the east, in their lands to develop it while we do ours, we can be neighbours from a distance!

Nice to see Ogun State taking a giant leap forward! Today, there was news that Lagos' IGR now has hit N 13 Tr ($87 B) grin grin. Oyo's GDP has always been second to Lagos in the SW and I hope they are massively pulling themselves ahead too, faster! I heard that Ekiti has now quadrupled its IGR too...really great news! I hope they can all with Osun and Ondo, move as a unit and as a people (regardless of political leadership) to liberate us entirely from the shackles of gradualism and slow leaving by the PDP, FG and other units of retrogression in the country.

This is why they should be allowed to go and live in their part of the country, living as arms length neighbours is the best option!

omenka: APC should be wary of these turncoats. Remember what happened in 2003 when only lagos survived.

Well, in 2003 Obj was leading the PDP and using his influence, cunningness, smartness and perhaps a bit of affinity and rapport with the people, he pulled the rug under the AC in the SW. That can hardly happen again! GEJ does not possess the leadership, intelligence, connections, rapport, command goodwill, etc like Obasanjo. The APC may play politics that leads to them increasing their shareholding in Nigeria but never at the expense of its home base, which if off the table, not available for negotiation or usurpation by PDP thieves!
