Seun Okinbaloye is a below average journalist, truth be told. He has no good command of English language unlike many of his colleagues in Channels. I don't know what Chief Momoh was thinking to give him his own show at such prime time.

Governor Nyesom Wike has done very well for his Ikwerre people. He made them realize that they are not slaves to Igbos or any other tribe for that matter. They will never forget him.

They can go if they want to. Nobody is stopping them. Those foreign remittances are now larger than oil revenues. Some will even return later on their own after racist abuses there.

Peoples gazatte should pray that someone doesn't sue their asses and the matter lands on the CJN's desk. Even if he recuses himself from the case, his colleagues in the bench will do the needful. These guys toying with the highest authority in the country are playing with fire.

He may join APC in the future because his business is flourishing in Tinubu's Lagos and his close ties with Chimaroke Nnamani. I prefer him to the LP candidate and it is pleasing to see Enugu state power brokers firmly behind him.

Those arguing that 25% is compulsory for FCT are very mischievous. Because the Supreme Court ruled so in 2008 or whenever in a previous case is inconsequential today because Supreme court judgements are not laws in themselves but simply interpretation of laws. That interpretation can change in another case depending on the arguments that the lawyers put forward. There are many instances of such in the history of the supreme court.

Now to the case. The electoral act states that a candidate vying for President must get 25% of the votes in two-thirds of the states and the FCT. The argument is focused on the interpretation of the word and. Keep in mind that Nigeria as a whole is the President's constituency and the FCT is just the seat of office.

But regardless of how "and" is interpreted, both parties on either side agree that the constitution of Nigeria is superior to any other law that is at variance with it, including that contentious electoral act. So, what did the constitution say regarding the FCT?

The constitution says that the FCT should be regarded as a state. It is in plain black and white. In simple terms, it means that the FCT should be treated same way as Lagos state, Borno state, Bayelsa state and the other 33 states. That means the FCT is considered equal and not inferior or superior to each and every one of the 36 states.

In practice, is it so. Yes. But in unique circumstances. The FCT has a minister appointed by the President overseeing its affairs but the states have elected governors doing same. Therefore the President can be considered the defacto governor of the FCT.

The same way state governors are required to win 25% in two-thirds of the local government areas in their states to be elected governor but there is no compulsion to win 25% in the local government area where each state capital city is situate, is same way the President is not under compulsion to win the FCT given the constitutional equality of the states and the FCT.

It is simple and straightforward. Those mentioning 2008 must know that the judgement then is not cast in stone and judges can deviate from precedent if a valid argument persuade them. Judges are not immune from mistakes. So let that be clear. In the USA for example, the Supreme Court there recently overturned the Roe vs Wade precedent that had stood for decades.

APC has solid lawyers who will argue beautifully along this line and the accepted superiority of the Constitution over the Electoral act gives them the advantage.

It is shameful for Obi Pandora looking at the results from Anambara that he could not overrun his own state but thought he could overrun Nigeria.

It is Atiku who played dangerous politics that would have caused serious problems for our beloved country Nigeria by attempting to continue northern rule for 16 years straight. Wike fought a just fight that's why he won because Tinubu's victory is for the continued unity of Nigeria. If Atiku had won, Nigeria would have disintegrated. As Nyesom Wike commissions more road projects this week, Nigerians are eagerly expecting to hear more from him as he continues to blast perennial loser Atiku and his side chick Peter Obi.

APC will win Niger state again and again. The party is well rooted there.

Despite Peter Obi's dubious profile, it has to be admitted that he played a crucial role in the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President-elect of this great Federal Republic of Nigeria. I commend his stubbornness not to step down for Atiku. Thanks to God for allowing Tinubu fulfill his life ambition. He really deserves his win.

One thing I know is that Rivers governor Nyesom Wike will give the Pepple faction of Labour party full apparatus of police and military protection including needed logistics to hold on to the Rivers state branch of LP, just as he gave Peter Obi logistics to campaign in Rivers state. Nobody from Abuja can remove Pepple from his office. Julius Abure is too small to do that. Hilda Dokubo can only be chairman in her kitchen. Let her go near the LP office if she is sure of herself.

Peter Obi is dirty. A greedy criminal who demanded 7.5 billion naira payout from his predecessor as settlement is whom some corrupt church pastors were campaigning for inside their church business premises. Indeed, God's judgment will start from the church.

Atiku and Obi know that they lost the election and they also know that they will lose in the courts because their petitions are without merit that's why they are pressuring Buhari to act illegally to cancel the election.
