You are wrong. Atleast in the US and UK, there is no additional training for doctors trained in Nigeria. If you're good enough you pass their hard exams, you're good enough for their system. Cheers

I don't know why I dislike Nigerian doctors for their greed and lack of empathy, I hope the government will look into increasing your school fees so that they can reduce you lot. You can't reap where you don't intend to sow.

. The implication of schooling abroad is having a better life in school, electricity ,internet, security etc.. So that shouldnt be the reason Nigerian doctors are less paid. You know how much I spent on all my USMLE steps alone? 7mills

They work harder than doctors abroad, and are more exposed to risks . Worse still, a doctors hazard allowance monthly is 5k compared to a Nigerian lecturer's hazard allowance which is 30k monthly.

In the US a doctor is not expected to work more than 80hours a week, in Nigeria, 100hrs in child's play..

I'm not arguing with you guys anymore. I ported 2 months ago and I'm on $3k per month minus taxes and accommodation. Enjoy your stinking country.

A good number of them hide under the excuse of "no equipment" but are solely after the money. These guys get cheap as fvck education in Naija, dump the helpless masses and go for higher paying rates outside the country. Even if we had equipment, many of them would still take the PLAB or whatever exam.

I recently read an article about how doctors and engineers, who brave dangers in explosion ridden Gaza, work together to 3D print basic medical equipment and they aim for much more than that.

Sure, we've got major issues with corruption and underfunding. However, their response doesn't solve the problem. It only hurts more people in the long run.

We had just closed from Friday church service around 7:50pm, some were having some discussions with the pastor on our way home. Before we knew it, someone gripped me and another by our waist belts. It's the police.

About 30 of us were taken to the police station. I identified myself with every I.D card I had. But nevertheless we were thrown into a stinking, cold, mosquito-infested cell room to sleep on bare floor.

About 14hrs later (d next day). I became worried and agitated, I begged them to make phone call. They refused. So I requested that my offences be read to me because I was already in a cell for hours. I told them I have a right to a phone call and to know my offence.
The next thing is that they brought out and used baton to brutalize my knees and ankles while the other was slapping me.

I have never had a police case and I'm suffering this much for serving this country.
