Well, two years imprisonment has never stopped ballot snatching since 1979 and it is not about to stop it in 2019.

INEC Chairman was talking about those who violate "electoral Act" of which ballot snatching is a part of.

What people like you forget is that in ONE ACT alone, you can commit various offenses.
For example, just hitting someone on the head can make you guilty of:
1) Assault, 2) Battery 3) Attempted murder,
4) Grevious bodily harm, 5) murder if the person dies, etc.

That you are charged for offense 1 does not mean you can't be charged for offense 3 or be charged for all four offenses at the same time.

If INEC arrests you for ballot snatching, you will go to jail just for 2yrs.
But ballot snatching also carries along , the following offenses:
1) treasonous felony, 2) subversion, 3) murder or attempted murder if someone did not die in the process, 4) possession of firearms, 5) robbery, 6) aggravated robbery or armed robbery ( if you did it holding a weapon) .... [b] and some of these offenses carry the death penalty moreso, if you get shot in the process of forcefully snatch ballot boxes by a law enforcement officer while carrying a weapon yourself, you died in active operation.

Whichever way we look at it, even if we test it in court, Mr. President was right.

My advice to any of you is to go out vote peacefully and be law abiding otherwise if you try to snatch the ballot and rubbish our votes, YOU WILL BE SHOT BY SECURITY FORCES.
For some if you who have been to the states before, pls go and snatch a ballot box on election day, its an ordinary citizen that will shoot you and that person will get a medal for service to country.

After getting your PVC, you still have to lose income as you cannot trade or do business on election day.
You still have to queue in the sun for many hours, just to cast your vote.

Then some APC thugs (let us assume they are from APC, for now) just arrive with guns and other dangerous weapons, shoot people like you, cut your family members with matchette or Axe, while some of you scamper to safety like frightened rats!

Confidently, they then snatch the ballot boxes in broad day light, in a brutal show of force, only to stuff it with their own choice of thumb-printed ballot papers, for delivery to INEC or just to render the election INCONCLUSIVE AND EVERY EFFORT, ENERGY, RESOURCES AND SACRIFICE YOU HAVE MADE TO VOTE FOR THE CANDIDATE OF YOUR CHOICE. .... A WASTE!

We all know this is the story of our elections and our country.

Mike Igini, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Akwa Ibom State, has said that Amina Zakari is no longer in charge of electoral operations and logistics at the Independent National Electorial Commission (INEC).

Speaking on Channels Television, Igini called for an end to criticism and complaints targeted at Zakari, following the postponement of the general elections on account of logistic challenges.

In a Republic of Southern Nigeria, Biafra, Oduduwa etc, you can have those young and smart guys as president cos you're going to have more rational voters. With Northern Nigeria in the mix, it is extremely difficult to achieve that. What they look for in leadership is far different from what southerners look for.
As far as 2019 is concerned, a northerner must win the election, cos according to an unwritten rule, the north must complete their 8 years. The Northern voters cannot vote any other person who isn't a northerner. That's a fact. So if smart southerners like you (I believe you're from the South) waste your votes on those candidates that can't even win their wards, you've ended up giving Buhari the opportunity to continue for another 4 years.
The question now is, between the 2 prominent Northern candidates, who are you more comfortable with?
By 2023, the South will have a chance to produce the next president of Nigeria. All these young guys contesting now will stand a better chance then. My opinion is that Buhari be voted out now and replaced with Atiku just for the next 4 years. By 2023, Atiku also will be voted out and replace with a 'proper' president that will work on the interest of Nigerians.

A 39-year old woman identified as Iwuagwu Onyinyechi, has been arrested by the Ogun police command for allegedly defrauding a Christian faith-based organisation to the sum of N100m, under the pretence of assisting the organisation to raise fund for its charity programme.

The police command in a statement on Sunday by its spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Onyinyechi’s arrest followed a petition written by a Lagos-based lawyer of the organisation, Godswill Ojakovo, to the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, in which he complained that his client was defrauded by the suspect through an act of forgery.

According to Oyeyemi, the suspect claimed to have got a Local Purchase Order (LPO) from a property company and appealed to the organisation to help fund the LPO, consequent upon which a sum of N33.118m was transferred into to her bank account.

While the organisation was awaiting the repayment of the loan, the suspect came with another two LPOs she claimed to have got from a Catholic Hospital, Iju and a private school in Ikorodu, Lagos State, upon which another sum of N77m was given to her, after convincing the organisation with relevant documents and proofs to back her claims.

But as soon as the suspect got the last payment in September 2018, she disappeared into thin air and this prompted the organisation to make discreet inquiries about the LPOs she submitted and found out that both of them were forged.

Story does not add-up!
- Second 77M was paid because Pastor was convinced "business" was okay to INVEST IN, after the first 33M.
