obekediamondfuto:

wrong, one can easily criticize any brand when the specs are available and consumer reviews are also accessible....

have u driven a Porsche cayenne before, but u can go online and see specs and compare with other cars in its category to enable one make informed decisions and arguments........

I Ask again.

what is the unique selling point of the IVM? let someone who feels he is authoritative in that field just bring it to the table for analysis!

someone said government officials should be banned from driving foreign cars.......

we don't need to ban them or force them or anything if the brand can comfortably compete with others in its class.

even the ivm vehicles I see politicians use in the south, the durability isn't there......

bring a 10yr old foreign vehicle and a 1yr old ivm, park them in a parking lot and lock it..... come back 2yrs after and check the extent of degradation both must have undergone...... or u look @ consumer reviews for data... and when I mean reviews I don't mean PR or paid reviews... I mean valid consumer reviews.....

have u ever heard of IVM recall? is it that they don't encounter manufacturer spec defects? but there is a salient Nigerian factor in the production process that ensures this kind of structure does not come to fruition

At the end of the day, your criticism is still subjective. It is based on the assessment of others. I could end up buying the Porsche cayenne and end up not liking it for something seemingly insignificant that wasn't mentioned in the review. There's a reason for the expression "the taste of the pudding is in the eating. We all have different tastes and choices. What is a perfect fit for you may not be for the next man.

I don't think one can objectively critic the IVM brand without at least giving it a try. Most of the negative comments here are based on assumptions and prejudiced mindsets. I would rather wait until I drive one before giving a verdict.

Plus, some of the comparisons to certain brands here make no sense. There are premium brands, intermediate brands and low end brands, and they all have their place as long as certain basic standards are met.

These girls are actually working very hard and I think they are playing well and better than they did against China.
A better coach would have blended and brought out the best in them. They are physical, determined. Ajibade and a couple of girls there have good ball control.

The coach is letting them down. All the shoutings are not helping them.

The coach is a waste of space. Just distracting the poor girls. They would have probably played better without him trying to micro-manage them.

I actually feel sorry for our girls. It's so obvious that they hardly got any decent coaching. If all you coach can offer is...

load am into their box,
follow am,
na pesin wey dey interchange run dem go give,
na your ball, na your ball

...then you are in serious trouble.

Take this advice seriously. It may be an attitude vibe you are passing across without knowing. Most importantly, don't despair, your time will come soon. Just pray and believe.

LexngtonSteele:
" I am intelligent ".... "My C.V. is top-notch"

Might be your cocky attitude. These are self-assessments which are likely biased and subjective.

Poor hygiene .... giving off the wrong aura ( overconfidence, know-it-all manner, too meek etc) might also repulse them at the last stage.

Be confident but don't over do it... these jobs might just not be the best fit for you and yours is right by the corner. Goodluck

K, you may be right.
But still,
You still cant deny the fact that he wasnt far from the truth.
Super eagles messed up, most especially after the whole hype and expectations.

Yes they messed up, but the insults are not necessary. Didn't Germany mess up? Italy and Holland who are powerhouses didn't even qualify. Didn't they mess up?

The Super Eagles didn't create the hype or expectations; Nigerians did. Nigeria was never favourites to qualify from the group. No bookmaker gave us the chance to. Even Gernot Rohr has been saying his team is young and inexperienced. The signs were all there.

We tend to overrate ourselves too much. We are not a global footballing giant. This is not U17. We create the hype and expectations and then get angry when those high hopes are dashed. I warned on this same platform that people should lower their expectations. The best we can expect is to spring a surprise rather than this sense of entitlement that we are favourites to qualify.

PS: The players didn't design the jersey either. Nike did and created the hype for their product.

Lol, k.
Im not trying to be a judge here.
And as much as i hustle and double work daily for money, im no beggar.
All im trying to say in essence is that you shouldnt judge someones relevance just cos of a musical career.
As washed up as his career could be, he could still be adding to the positivity of the nigerian society by mentoring younger ones, or touching lives of masses in one way or the other.
You are not God, so dont judge a man by what you see.
Cos beneath what you see, there could be glitters that you dont see.

And I like this your point. Now, the same can also be said of those players Illbliss called "Super Chickens". We can express our displeasure without insults and derogatory comments.

At the end of the day, football is a game, win, lose or draw. No need to be overly emotional about it. Let him make Nigeria proud by winning a Grammy. He can do it if he tries.

Bash illbliss......na you sabi! His career is his business but super eagles performance is all our business.

#Superchickens undecided

But of course, they will. Is it not his mates that are winning Grammys? Why can't he make Nigeria proud by winning a Grammy? It is easy to insult others in their own careers, but you could also be the best globally in your own niche. If you ask the average Nigerian, they will give you reasons why the Nigerian state doesn't allow them to be the best. Our sports is not separate from the larger Nigerian state.

The surface trains I see look so dirty and unkempt with overcrowded coaches and people hanging on all over like their life means nothing. I cannot ever dream of entering that kind of train. Why I said underground is that people will be more wary of hanging on like they do on the surface trains

You are referring to the old trains. I'm talking about the new trains starting with the one running from Badagry/Okokomaiko to Marina. Trust me, no one is going to be sitting on the roof off that one. Besides, it's the job of the authorities to stop and punish commuters who try such.
Travel / Re: BRT New Buses Are Coming In Batches To Lagos Bus-Stops by dabossman(m): 11:37am On Jun 19, 2018

Well, that's what the planning is for isn't it? The governor should stop using band aids for gaping sores. It's obvious buying buses upandan is not really helping with the traffic congestion, if he really wants to be remembered for something, then underground stations are not impossible. Its not to be buying buses that in the next five years the next government will buy another set and on and on ad nauseam

Actually, surface trains are a better option for Lagos at this time, and the state government has been working on that, only that it's taking too long to complete. It will cost too much to start working on underground trains in an already condensed state like Lagos. Let's not add more collapsed buildings to our problems. Also, remember that many parts of Lagos is on a low water plane.

To the best of my knowledge, I don't think they have underground trains in the Netherlands.

I do not know what you're trying to prove here , everybody has a niche to play , if you go to buy a loaf of bread and the bread is not baked properly do you not have the right to question him . From your response the baker can simply say come and bake it yourself na.

It's easy to criticize and insult others for not excelling in their niche? Question is, can you be counted among the best in the world in your own niche? Can we call on you to represent Nigeria in your own niche and be sure that you will excel? It is easy to be an armchair critic.

Why do we Nigerians get too emotional over a game of football?
