SEGLIZ: can we differentiate between a freedom fighters and law breakers. they established their school to meet their standard so who ever don't like the laid down standard should stay away from their organization. I hope you know that segregation and apartheid were administered by institutionalized laws. Blacks are not allowed here. Blacks cannot do this etc. When a law becomes oppressive and unreasonable, it is well within your legal rights to challenge it in a court of law. If the FG comes tomorrow and makes a law that anyone who criticizes Buhari will go straight to prison without trial, I'm sure you won't just accept it quietly. My point is simple. The father is well within his rights to challenge that law; not that we even know what the said "law" states. There is no law in any school that is superior to the constitution of the nation. |

It's our damm culture. People need to stop overreacting and remember we're Nigerians not Americans. I can bet the reason why that girl was going from one person to the other on her knees is because it would have been too much trouble to get up and kneel again in that dress. laurel03: which Dangote business is monopolized ?? can you mention 1 Often the biggest players in a market have the tendency to engage in unfair activities that tend to crush their competition if not checkmated. Anti-trust laws are put in place to prevent these underhand tactics by the big players to run their competition out of the market. It helps to create a level playing field. It is well known that Dangote has a monopolistic control of the cement industry in Nigeria. This was mainly achieved through import waivers, concessions, unfettered access to foreign exchange and acquisition of some government owned assets at cheap prices. e.g. Benue Cement. Go and ask the likes of BUA Cement and Ibeto if they got the same privileges from the government. |

Dailyhappenings: What do you think?
source: https://www.musictori.com/2019/02/getting-job-you-didnt-apply-for.html Not entirely correct. When some people say they got a job they are not qualified for, it is not because they lack the capacity to do the job; what they may lack is the prerequisite paper qualifications. For example, if I've been working in an organization for 4 years and I've shown competence, then a managerial position opens up for which, if advertised to the public, the requirements would be 7 years experience in that positional capacity and maybe a particular certification. However, based on my track records within the organization and leadership skills I have exhibited, I get promoted to that position, then I truly got a job that I'm not qualified for. This can also apply for an external job I apply for. My CV and interview can show that I'm capable even if I don't particularly meet the defined criteria set. |

After reading some of the comments here, it is no wonder our leaders are insensitive to our feelings. They are a reflection of the kind of people we are. And some of these people are the ones who will be questioning why Buhari didn't attend the burial of the Airforce men that died in a plane crash, or why GEJ was dancing at a political rally the day after a bomb blast claimed innocent lives.
Yes, Ronaldo may have posted the picture innocently, but the timing was off. Somethings might be lawful, but not expedient. You can do the right thing sometimes at the wrong time. Living your life doesn't mean you should be insensitive to what is going on around you. |

Mad mad idiots Someone raised an issue, instead of these cretinous things to address it, they are more concerned about if it was truly a mistake or not, is that any of your business i wonder. Even if we are to talk about frauds, can anyone of you unintelligent leprechaun swear you have never cut corners in life?
No wonder an illiterate is rulling you all and will continue to do so forever since none of you seem to have sense.
Smh. Oga, calm down and stop ranting. Instead educate yourself rather than being so condescending. dayolove: The OP is not lying. N15,000 is the official approved fee for date of birth modification while N500 is for minor changes/modifications like change of name due to marriage, family decision, religious considerations, etc. You also pay N500 to reprint your loss of NIN slip. The truth is that before now, date of birth was what we call unupdatable field because you can only be born once but along the line, we discovered there were few people with genuine need to effect changes for obvious reasons which the Commission will investigate properly before deciding to accede to the request or not.
The N15,000 for change of date of birth is mainly to discourage such requests and it is only limited to once in a lifeime. Even when the date is eventually changed as paying the amount is not a guarantee of getting it change, the Commosion still keep track of the initial change made but shows the recent changes should there be need for further investigations.
On what you have on the websites the, it was for modification strictly for change of name and other details and not for change of birth as prior to this time, change in date of birth was not even permitted.
Many Nigerians have up to five 5 dates of birth depending on what they intend to use it for. Some are not able to remember the one they used for immigration, FRSC, CBN, police, etc recruitment and as such with the harmonization of the different databases going on, some of these lies come to the open and you one now need NIMC, being the sole repository of biometric databases as directed by the FG to attempt to clear some of these messes.
With NIMC now, you lie once and learn to live with the lie for life. Avoid using different dates of birth and other fraudulent practices with your bio data. It is seriously frowned at by the embassies and could lead to permanent denial of entry visas, etc. the FG is trying to ensure oneness and avoid unnecessary duplications so the system can be trusted and verifiable.
The NIN is the most important and unique identifier required by all, Nigerians and legal residents to maintain and regulate a reliable system of identity management and not just card issuance like before. Please go get yours. The National Identity Smart Card will come later as many people get registered into the national identity database.
You can email me on loveday.ogbonna@nimc.gov.ng should you require further clarification or have any questions regarding the NAtional Identity Management System |

femi4: You are off point.
You claimed Blakky and Daniel Wilson were strictly raggae/dancehall, and I gave you examples of other artists that sings more than one genre.
Check Blakky first Album in the 90s and you ll see that its a mix of everything Here from the man himself: ?What I?ve noticed with a lot of sounds these days is that everybody is following one lane. Everybody is playing the same beats. When we started we had music producers, now they have beat makers who just make the beats and that?s it. Most of the music these days do not have soul. ? That?s one thing I?ll love to change, for artists not to be afraid to stay on one particular genre of music. Ask artists today what genre of music they play, they?ll tell you I play a little bit of funk, a little bit of pop, a little bit of dancehall? they?ll mix every single thing. When you have event ceremonies coming up even the event organisers don?t even know who is under what category. The average artist wants to join all genres just to play it safe. I'll like to encourage artists to build on one genre and then have the confidence to push that brand of music forward. https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2017/02/why-im-not-married-at-almost-50-blackky.htmlAlso see how he was introduced in the article. Yet another interview. Surely, you can't define the man's genre for him. Well, I’ve always been there. The kind of music that I play is African Dance Hall. Check Blakky first Album in the 90s and you ll see that its a mix of everything I don't need to argue with you. Google the dancehall hiphop yourself. It was a 2000s thing popularised by the likes of Sean Paul and Beenie Man. Dancehall artistes of the 90s were Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton and the likes. Just because an artiste samples other genres doesn't make them an artiste of that genre. Michael Jackson rapped in Black or White from his 92 album 'Dangerous'. Does that make him a pop and hiphop artiste? His the King of Pop even though he sampled many genres. P.S: I actually have Blackky's Blackout cassette from 95 which I bought at Samaco Records in Ojuelegba. I know my music bro. |

femi4: Google Dancehall hip hop.
Timaya, Patoranking, Rihanna etc are in that category. You cant box them to strictly dancehall Timaya, Patoranking and Rihanna are from a much later era from Blackky and Daniel Wilson. It's just like comparing rap and hiphop from the era of Big Daddy Kane, Run DMC and KRS One with the era of Drake and Nicki Minaj. Blackky didn't call himself a hiphop artist. It was in his later albums in the mid to late 90's that he introduced reggaeton which has a blend of hiphop, and that's because hiphop was now becoming a thing. |
