Cheer up Arsenal fans; Kanu is coming on to score a hattrick. Oh wait..., wrong year. ![]() |
I swear, nobody is doing Arsenal o. They are the ones doing themselves. Hope they enjoy the Europa League next season. |
passyhansome:I laugh in French. We know kid actors who earned more in dollars and ended up broke later in life. She had better have people in her life who will help her invest wisely for the future and not spend everything on looking glam. |
saouri:I can't help but agree with you on this after my recent experience at the UK embassy just this week. I applied for a visiting visa to go on vacation and also attend a close family function and was refused because according to them they were not convinced I would return after my visit. Now what made this both amusing and at the same time irritating is the fact that I have been to the UK before. I took a professional course there a few years ago and returned home. Since then I have travelled to France, Holland and the US and returned. Even the passport I applied with has the US 2yr multiple entry visa on it. So, if I wanted to run away wouldn't I have used that to do so? I doubt that the visa officer checked any of my accompanying documents. My employment status didn't matter, and neither did my marital status or travel history. On top of that, I was even denied the opportunity to appeal. The whole thing seemed like a bad joke. Me, I'm done with them o. There are many more places to visit for business and pleasure. |
vicardino: It was the right thing to do. |
SAMBARRY:My sister, what actually pissed me off that day was the fact that the guy put my family in danger when he ran us off the road. And then I went and put them in more danger in my rage. My wife was calling my name the whole time, but I didn't hear her. Never again though. But some Lagos drivers can be so annoying. |
grandstar:Yeah, I don't curse often, and certainly not in front of my kids. |
I was once in a situation like this once between Cement and Ikeja Along one Sunday morning in 2011. This guy ran me off the road and almost into a ditch because he was trying to avoid running into a pothole at full speed. He slowed down when he saw what he did but didn't even have the decency to apologize. He just drove off. I was so raging mad that I pulled back onto the road and chased after him. I pulled up next to him just before Ikeja along and swerved like I was going to ram into him. He swerved away almost losing control, then finally pulled up some meters ahead. He now alighted waving a koboko menacingly. I parked and beckoned on him to come closer if he dared but dude got into his car and drove off. I was so pissed. Sad part of the story, we both had our wives and kids in the car. When I had calmed down, I regretted my road rage and apologized to my wife and little girl. Since then, never again. I just take a deep breath and cuss you out. But no stupid stunts. |

Dee60:Actually, it is my field. There is a difference between free-to-air terrestrial channels and pay/cable TV. NBC will readily ban unsavory content on free-to-air channels like AIT, LTV, Channels etc because it is suplied to homes freely. All you need is an antenna. Cable/Pay TV is different. You used your money to buy it by choice. It is not exactly freely available. You bought a decoder and subscribed. In other words, you used your hand to bring the wahala into your home. There are many channels on DSTV that broadcast stuff worse than BBN. The onus is on you to monitor what your wards watch and these platforms have parental control features. When the NBC bans songs, they are still aired on MTV, Trace, Hip Hop TV and so on cable. They are two different scenarios. The only censorship requirement is to put an are limit. BBNclearly states it is for 18+. And it's not true that BBN is a dove. This show has been with us for more than 15 years since the first BBA. Most people know what it is about. They are not ignorant about it. |
Dee60:Yes, we should care about the problems plaguing the youths, but you don't do that by issuing draconian decrees and taking away the power of making the right decisions by choice, an informed choice if I may say. Teenagers are especially rebellious when you try to force things down their throat. A better approach is to educate them about the positives and negatives of every situation. If we start to ban, then we will ban the Internet itself so that we can stop our youths from viewing pornography and getting involved in "yahoo-yahoo", and wasting their life away on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We would also need to ban Super Sport so that our youths will stop wasting money on sports betting like Nairabet, BetNaija and so on. Are you getting my drift? I'm sure that would affect you too. The number one way to raise responsible youths is proper parenting. We as parents are mostly guilty of not doing enough, me inclusive. We get so caught up in the hustle to make ends meet and provide for these children that we are not giving them the necessary guidance they need. The family is the smallest individual unit in every society. When we correct the anomalies in the family, we will have better, responsible children and youths. We have also not paid attention to our schools. Are our kids getting the right kind of education that will help them make better choices? We have to correct the problem from the foundation. |
Dee60:It is still a parent's duty to monitor or limit what their kids do in the social media space. There is a lot of porn on social media and the internet already, raw porn much worse than BBN. If your child shouldn't be seeing such then don't give them an internet-enabled smartphone or computer. Or at least find out if you can block age-inappropriate content on these platforms on their gadgets. I'm a parent too and that is my duty, not DsTV's or the government. |
DidierDrogba:Behold your answer. greenhulk: |
The bitter truth even though I'm not a fan of the show. There are so many other channels to choose from on DsTV and GoTV. Exercise your power of choice. No one is being forced to watch BBN. |
It also helps when you need to push the darned car off the road if it breaks down. Stop telling us your car is an automatic and can't be pushed. People just be causing traffic upandan. ![]() |
NoDulling4here:I'm guessing you're not familiar with the concept of taking out a player who had a man of the match performance in the closing stages so he can get a standing ovation from the fans. Mourinho killed two birds with one stone.Applause for Lukaku, applause for the returning Bailly. Watch and learn son. ![]() |
NoDulling4here:Dude, seriously? So, you think he brought Bailly on to park the bus? I won't even bother explaining. |
szen:That's why you need creative players who can take on players and draw defenders out of position. That is one of the things we lack and why we struggle to score. Most times we pass the ball around in front of the opposition goal with little penetration. The only player we have now that tried to take on defenders, run at them and dribble is Martial, and even he is inconsistent. The just is still out on Sanchez in this regard. |
Again, play the ball into space for Lukaku to run onto, his more likely to score. |
I have always said that this is how Lukaku likes to be serviced. Play the ball into space for him to run onto the ball. Playing to feet for Lukaku in a crowded defence is difficult for him because his touch is heavy. But through balls through the channel to take on the last man and keeper works for him. |
These two be like: Officer, wetin happen? Na because of this small bottle of codeine wey we drink you come dey take our picture? Okay o, kwantinu.
|
Smily202:What did City win last season? Was United anywhere near 2nd position last season? |
I can bet that this wickedness is being conducted by the common man, and not the oga at the top. Corruption has eaten so deep into our system. BerryAnny:You don't have a calender? February reach 29 this year? |
AlfaSeltzer:Chai, why?!
|
kinibigdeal:Sanchez. Oh wait...., wrong team. ![]() |
What is this one saying? So because I don't like someone's music or craft means I can't be compassionate when a young person loses their life? Dude get real. |
pautex:I'm sure you only watched the final match. |
anigold:Guus Hiddink. ![]() |
pek:Yes, that is football. Cameroon defeated defending World Cup champions Argentina with 10 men at Italia 90. Nothing new. That doesn't change the fact that being a man down gives a numerical advantage to the other team. Some will use it, and some will not be able to due to the resilience of the opponent. My point though is about the hypocrisy of those who will insult their own national team who got to the finals of a continental event and lost badly, but will be soft on the European clubs they support when the same scenario occurs. |

And then I went and put them in more danger in my rage.
