madridguy:
Some of my top most heartbreaking moment in football.

USA 1994: NIGERIA VS ITALY
Just as discussed on a thread here yesterday, Roberto Baggio gave me heart attack that day which took few days before i could recover.

Ghana/Nigeria 2000( Cup of Nation ) : CAMEROUN VS NIERIA .... FINAL
Immediately Victor Ikpeba penalty was disallow my BP nearly cut, it was a very sad Sunday evening.

SYDNEY 2000 ( OLYMPIC FOOTBALL GAME )
Nigeria Vs Chile
This particular match every Nigeria sport papers tagged Agali vs Zamarano tongue Victor Agali was our Ahmed Musa of that tournament tongue Chile beat us like small pickin and i cannot forget that morning.

Trinidad and Tobago 2001 ( FIFA U-17 )

One of the best Nigeria outing in junior level. This tournament produce Nigeria player like Femi Opabunmi, Temile, Sambo and co shocked Due to time difference, every match for this tournament is midnight Nigeria time. Chai, futbol don suffer me tongue
Our opening match was against France which we won but they revenge for Final whooping us 3-0.

Sinama-Pongole and Le Tallec those boys shows us pepper that midnight.

Korea/Japan 2002 ( Fifa world cup )
Nigeria vs Sweden

Our darling Super Eagle needed that match so badly as second match of the tournament after we have lost first game to Argentina. We started the match well, with brilliant performance but last last Henrik Larssen do us strong thing. To go school that day na war tongue

Your head dey there. But for me there was only one. Our loss to Italy at USA 94. That night I cried ehn. Since then, never again. No matter how painful, I get over it immediately.

And for all those who like to ask "Where is Chrisantus? Where is Rabiu Ibrahim?" Sinama Pongolle and Anthony Le Tellec were stars for France at U17 o. Liverpool even signed them. Byt they never progressed to become stars at senior level. I always say it's not peculiar to Nigeria, and it is not always down to being over-aged.

Your head is not alright.

You think you are winning.? You are only doing yourself.

In five years time, these same boys you are walloping today will destroy your super eagles at the Senior world cup.

Your assertion is kinda faulty though. And this is because the make up the senior team of these countries will not be exactly the same in five years time for several reasons. One being that, not every player who shines at U17 will develop to the senior team whether real age or over aged.
Examples of this abound in every country.

Our youth team do well in underage competitions but find it hard to replicate in the senior level.
Five years from now, we won't see most of these guys if not all in football world again. What could be the reason?

This is not peculiar to Nigeria. People are always quick to mention Toni Kroos. But how many of his U17 teammates went on to play for Germany at senior level? Truth is, most U17 teams produce between 1-3 players who go on to excel for their country at senior level. The rest just disappear into their local or foreign leagues.

Oga most of the position you mentioned can be easily converted

for example

a full back with speed can easily be converted to a winger
that's how mangers who play 3 man defense cope

likewise a strong attacking midfielder can be easily converted into a defensive midfielder
because it only takes strength to play in such position
moreover a good striker can easily play in wing positions
only a lazy striker can't play as a winger
strikers like aguero, suarez, firmino, jesus can play from the wing.

talk about those that where entirely converted from their position
for example Pep converted Aleksandro zinchenko from attacking midfielder to a full back

Tell that to the Pogba fan boys who insist he can only perform on the left of a 3-man midfield like he did at Juventus.

What you said is true tho. From what you just said and from peoples' reactions to op, you'll find out that Nigerians lack patience. Lol. What you did ought to be the normal thing what others suppose to do too, I mean, you've started it, why not finish before attacking someone. But they just read the first line and gbam...attack!!.
The mistake the op made was to make that statement of disproving an existing misconception which he didn't do(like you pointed out), and that's where everything started from.

grin grin Too many angry people on these streets in this economy. Most Nigerians have no chill.

Gosh! I'm truly amazed. The fact that above 80% of people who commented here actually criticized the op really means they never truly read it from beginning to the end. Nigerians and no-reading culture is what will finally finish us in this country. Some are attacking the op, some are insulting him, all because they didn't read to the end, perhaps, just headlines and the first two paragraphs. It's really pathetic.
To those that didn't read, I sorry for una!!

I can't entirely blame them. The initial examples were not exactly contradictory, especially when you understand the context in which Jesus and Paul spoke. Even I was beginning to get irritated by the write up, but decided to see what the OP planned to end his analysis with, and then realized what he was actually trying to achieve.

I think it would have helped if he had stated somewhere at the beginning that his aim was trying to disprove an existing misconception. Just like you would do when writing a project or term paper. People get very sensitive when it comes to matters of their fate, and it seemed the OP was trying to create contradictions were many people didn't see any.

A Closer Look At The Words Of Jesus & The Pauline Revelations (Epistles) From FeedMeJesus.com

Looking at the teachings of Jesus in the four Gospels (the books: Matthew, Mark, Luke & John), there seems to be a very wide gap between what Jesus taught and what we see apostle Paul teach in his epistles.

To truly understand why Paul wrote the things he did, we need to first of all understand that the Bible is a book of progressive revelation which was never complete until the very last book. That means until we have read it through to the very last book and gotten witnesses from its numerous authors, we cannot turn “a statement” in it into a basis for Faith, a doctrine.

This is because the book was written in such a way that you will find the explanation and confirmations of the things you read as you proceed to the very end. So taking a statement from Jesus in the book of Matthew alone and establishing it as a doctrine will not be the best thing to do until you have read through the other books.

I hope this blesses you. Now lift your hands to the Father and thank Him for the entire revelation of His Word, His Son, to us.

Glory to Jesus our King eternal.

It might help if you edit your post and add a line at the beginning stating that you plan to show that the teachings of Jesus and Paul are not contradictory as thought by some. It's a long post and the examples given at the start are actually somewhat annoying, and may deter people from reading further without getting your true intentions. This explains the reaction of many.

What manner of joblessness is this? Does that look like a functional carriage that has been used anytime recently. Do we know why it is being pushed or where it is being pushed to? If only some of you will use Google app on your phone with the same frequency you use Nairaland.

The title chief of staff (or head of staff) identifies the leader of a complex organization, institution, or body of persons and it also may identify a principal staff officer (PSO), who is the coordinator of the supporting staff or a primary aide-de-camp to an important individual, such as a president, or a senior military officer, or leader of a large organization.

In general, a chief of staff provides a buffer between a chief executive and that executive's direct-reporting team. The chief of staff generally works behind the scenes to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues before they are brought to the chief executive. Often chiefs of staff act as a confidante and advisor to the chief executive, acting as a sounding board for ideas. Ultimately the actual duties depend on the position and the people involved.

Go and watch Netflix's House of Cards and understand the role a Chief of Staff plays better.

Even I do not understand the reason for the jabs and I'm not even a supporter of this government.

I don't know about surpassing any other minister, but you also know that power generation is not only about on-grid power alone. There are a lot of off-grid power solutions that are being put in place through the Rural Electrification agency. Off-grid power is being provided for federal universities, teaching hospitals, markets etc. The power sector has been unbundled giving room for alternative power generating options. Independent Power Projects are ongoing.
