Kobojunkie: This passsage is Paul's opinion regarding the having of sexual relations between married people. Jesus Christ made clear to those who are born-again that their marriages were of the world of men and not of the Kingdom of God - Luke 20 vs 34 - 36 - affirmations God's ruling regarding marriage from after the fall of man in Genesis 3 vs 16. You've gone far, please take the word of God at face value. |

MaxInDHouse: Exactly what i wanted to ask:
Is there anywhere in the Bible that Jesus said fasting (abstinence from food or skipping meals) is compulsory for believers? It is not compulsory but necessary, occasionally as some situations might demand. Matthew 17:20-21 |

MaxInDHouse: Exactly what i wanted to ask:
Is there anywhere in the Bible that Jesus said fasting (abstinence from food or skipping meals) is compulsory for believers? Jesus Himself fasted in Matthew chapter 4 by abstaining from food and He did it as example for us. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Help, I Can't Fast. by Dada4me(op): 7:21pm On Dec 01, 2023 |
MaxInDHouse: If truly you want to FAST in an approved manner before God it has nothing to do with your skipping meals or hunger strike.
This is what the true God accept as FASTING:
*Share what you have with your neighbours who is in need of it. *Forgive and forget the wrong your neighbour did to hurt you. *Use your time, energy and resources to help those close to you even though there's nothing to receive as compensation. This is the type of FASTING God requires from His worshipers who are doing so in spirit and truth! Isaiah 58:3-8
Not when you keep all these away them start starving yourself hypocritically claiming it's for God! What of Matthew 17:20-21? |

Kobojunkie: To loose weight, what you need to do is cut down your daily calorie intake, not actually starve yourself of food(fast). Fasting has been shown to be less effective means of weight loss. My fasting is for religion purpose not to loose weight |

Hello everyone,
This is it, I find it very difficult to fast. If I don't eat before 11am, I will develop headache that will last the whole day no matter what I later eat.
I feel so hungry that one will think I have not eaten for days even when I eat before going to bed.
Please what can I do to improve in fasting. I have not gone beyond 2pm which is occasionally. |

Education › Difference Between Alphabet And Letters Of Alphabet by Dada4me(op): 1:28pm On Aug 30, 2023 |
Hello Nairalanders, I saw the writeup below referring to C, Q, V and Z as alphabets.
Are they alphabets or letters of Alphabet.
I want to believe every language has one alphabet with different numbers of letters.
For instance, is it safe to say English Language has one alphabet with 26 letters, or Yoruba Language has one alphabet with 25 letters?

I leant sometime ago that slow and steady wins the race, and I got more convinced today.
I drove for about three hours today with a coaster and Mazda. Both vehicles overtook me within five minutes of the journey with great speed but I didn't compete with them. I just maintained 80-100 kph only to meet up with them intermittently. We arrived the same time after three hours of driving.
Slow and steady wins the race. |

I strongly believe that the President is not that naive to have approved the removal of subsidy without immediate implementation of palliatives, if he truly cares for Nigerians.
He removed subsidy in a hurry to allow Dangote Refinary sell fuel at a predetermined price not less than #700 per liter.
What he could have done was to reinstate the subsidy regime at his inauguration and give palliatives for three months running from June till August and then remove the subsidy in September, he would have won our hearts forever.
It's not too late. |

David50: You may or may not have a dodged a bullet there. Good practice dictates you should check your oil at least once a week. Some even check it every morning which is better.
What's your car model and year? How long have you owned it and what type of oil have you been using? I use quartz total oil, Mazda 626, five years now |

Car Talk › How Often Should One Change Car Oil by Dada4me(op): 1:18pm On Jul 15, 2023 |
I was at the mechanic workshop last week to fix my power steering belt that cut off when I just decided to Guage the car's oil level only to see that the rod did not touch any oil.
I eventually got 4liter oil asked the mechanic to change it. What was left of the previous one was less than a litre. The engine would have gone for good.
So, how often should a car meant for private use be changed?
Note that I was thinking my oil was changed recently though no longer sure of the time. |
