GlitteringStar:
You are good to go with the soft copy.
olajide21:
They are the same document. The soft copy sent by WES is sufficient
Thanks guys, bless up

olajide21:
Yes you would need a copy while uploading your documents post ITA.
mosbiod:
To my little knowledge, during you application you would need to upload your WES Report soft copy and a copy of your certificates that you evaluated with WES
Yes, am aware I would need a soft copy and copies of the credentials I evaluated. I have a soft copy (PDF) which WES sent to me but the hardcopy (which I believe is more detailed) was delivered to the US. So my question is, is the soft copy I have sufficient to get PPR.

Thanks

Good PM guys,

A quick question.

Would I at any point during the EE process need the hardcopy of my WES ECA or the soft copy (pdf) sent to my email will suffice all through?

Thanks
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by DadR: 12:32pm On Jan 13, 2018
It won't affect you in anyway because both processes are mutually exclusive.

Cheers

Hi people. I had plans to go for my MBA in Canada as a route for migrating. I plan to do that in 2019. However, someone just informed me that my chances are good with EE. My question is, if EE doesn't work, can it affect my chances with the Post Graduate route in any way?
CareerRe: Sterling Bank Appoints Abubakar Suleiman As CEO by DadR: 11:32am On Jan 13, 2018
My response was based on the initial poster's comment of saying someone is a Yoruba Muslim hence the Bank will fall. And in my response, I meant the outgoing MD is also a Yoruba Muslim hence there shouldn't be any problem.

I see no reason why you are calling someone olodo instead of seeking clarification. Let's try to be mature and also not be offensive when addressing our fellow brothers / sisters, irrespective of the fact that you're hiding your identity under a monicker.

Cheers.

mukhcech:
Yoruba Muslim. Olodo just full here sha. Pls read the Bolded. Let us not be sentimental indeed grin grin
CareerRe: Sterling Bank Appoints Abubakar Suleiman As CEO by DadR: 7:37am On Jan 13, 2018
Each and every customer of theirs is their number one customer. They treat them as the one and only customer of the Bank. This is the concept of the "One Customer Bank".

Alphasoar:
Congrats to him and the One Customer Bank.

Sometimes I wonder who is the one customer they are referring to grin grin grin grin
CareerRe: Sterling Bank Appoints Abubakar Suleiman As CEO by DadR:
How do you mean? This is a bank with diverse culture and not a religious centre. Mind you, the outgoing MD, Yemi Adeola, is a Yoruba Muslim. Has the Bank fallen?

For the benefit of doubt, I'm a Christian. Don't let's be sentimental.

Cheers.

passyhansome:
That's the beginning of the Bank's fall, appointing a Yoruba Muslim as CEO.

Hey guys...

My application got approved today, so now awaiting PUM.

I wish everyone waiting for ITA, PPR, Approval, PUM and COPR all the best.

We shall find favor!

@newmum0615, am sorry to ask you question on your questions.

The reference letter you got for your mutual fund, what and what was stated on it? Was there any statement showing inflow and outflow or it's just your total balance as at date.

I wish you speedy PPR.

Thanks

Newmum0615:
Hello @Kontagious, I remember you posted a while ago that you submitted Tbills and 6months SOA. Did you also add bank reference letter or did the other 2 suffice for you? I am asking cos my funds are in 3 Tbills and in some mutual funds. Do I need to submit reference letter? My 6months average balance won't show much cos my savings are always in Tbills or some other investment.
I am thinking of adding 9months statement cos the last time i booked 2 out of the 3 tbills was almost 9months ago. If I do 6months SOA, it might not show the debit. The 3rd one was booked this month, I intend adding 3 months SOA for this one. I don't want a bulky upload, so I am thinking of how not to include too many docs. I already have to add reference letter for the mutual funds & hubby consent letter to use his own mutual funds. Or can I add only the Tbills certs and reference letter, and then my mutual funds letter? I no wan make mistake abeg.

Anyone else with advise can chip in please. Thanks.

Oga Boss, thanks for the swift response and this is good news to me.

Thanks again!

boldinc:
Hi DadR... The letter was very plain and simple. It just stated that she was a member of the society and also the exact amount of money she had... That's all.

Only the letter was submitted along side her personal statement of account which did not have much... no statement of deposit to cooperative was submitted.

They were not contacted by IRCC to the best of knowledge...

Hope this helps.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by DadR:
@boldinc, congratulations on your PPR.

Regarding the bolded below, can you please share a format of the sample with me.

Then was it just the letter you submitted, no statement of deposit from the cooperative? Also, do you have an idea if IRCC confirmed the POF from your wife's cooperative?

Thanks man.

boldinc:
PPR came through yesterday guys...

EE Profile – September 2, 2016
CRS - 468
1st ITA – January 11
Withdrawn – April 11
2nd ITA – April 13
AOR – July 11
Med Passed – July 24
IP1 – July 24
NA2 – July 24
We do not need additional documents – Sep 8

My application was straight forward... Wife was PA, Wrote IELTS just once... spouse too, did another naija PCC (only PCC required) when submitting for 2nd ITA, POF was just a simple letter from co-operative society from my wife's company, I didn't need to do ECA.
BusinessRe: What Is The Difference Btw Treasury Bill And Fixed Deposit by DadR: 11:07am On Jan 07, 2018
He's actually right. Tbills can have maturity of 7 days, this can only be gotten from the secondary market though. Primary market tenors are fixed, i.e. 91, 182 and 364 days.

BiafraIShere:
That's not true, T.B has a minimum of 90 days tenor, others are 180 days and 360 days. Also, the minimum amount you can invest is 100k. I know these because I've been investing in T.bills with different banks for donkey years!
BusinessRe: What Is The Difference Btw Treasury Bill And Fixed Deposit by DadR: 11:04am On Jan 07, 2018
The 12% is calculated per annum and paid over the tenor.

ibinaboonline:
Yours is the best answer. Now, since the interest rate of the TB is 12% and the minimum tenure is 3 months. Does this mean an investor earns 12% each month of the 3,6 or 12 month tenure? For example, 12% of 1000000 is 120k. Would a three month investment now be 120k times 3?
BusinessRe: What Is The Difference Btw Treasury Bill And Fixed Deposit by DadR: 10:57am On Jan 07, 2018
Primary market Tbills can also be rediscounted. It's not compulsory you hold till maturity. However, you may tend to loose more than the interest you've been paid.

AceVentura:
Tenor of TBills only in the primary market must be complete but not so in the secondary market.

Currently, interest rate/ yields in fixed deposits is higher than the TBills because the government isn't pushing for funds. We're in a new financial/ budget year thus the low interest rates on TBills.
BusinessRe: What Is The Difference Btw Treasury Bill And Fixed Deposit by DadR: 10:48am On Jan 07, 2018
Not at all. It's 12% per annum and not flat.

Beress:
Based on this, it means N1m TB will give u N480k in one year... I think is cool sha
BusinessRe: What Is The Difference Btw Treasury Bill And Fixed Deposit by DadR: 9:05am On Jan 07, 2018
It's not a must TB complete it's tenure before termination. You can always rediscount.

Sage7:
TB- interest is received at the point of debit. FD- interest is received when it is terminated.

TB- tenure must be complete before termination. FD- you can terminate anytime.

TB- interest is slightly higher vice-versa

The questions have been answered above.

Pls does anyone have an answer to the above questionhuh I' m also interested in knowing.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by DadR: 10:06am On Jan 06, 2018
In my opinion, I think if you're sure of getting ITA as soon as you're in the pool and you'll submit your application asap post ITA, you may go ahead. If not, it's better you wait till you get ITA. PCC can be gotten in a day at Alagbon if you're In Lagos.

Secondly, gift deed can be done pre or post ITA. However, I'll advise you do it pre ITA.

Goodluck

Asterix2001:
Hello House,

Just wanted to find out, is it OK to get the Nigerian Police PCC, before ITA, as soon I go into the pool I mean, given a high CRS score.

Secondly, when can a gift deed be done, before or after ITA?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by DadR: 9:02am On Jan 05, 2018
Just for knowledge sake, if one puts spouse's work experience which doesn't attract any points, will IRCC still ask for reference letter knowing fully well that they won't award any points?

Regards,

Loffloff:
Yes...so u wont bother in providing documents to back up her work experience....

@cochtrane

Thank you very much and God bless you.

You have answered my questions perfectly well. However, is it advisable to do a gift deed where by the donor isn't same surname as mine? i.e. A family friend.

cochtrane:
1. Send a mail to your fund manager/institution and specify in the content of the mail the requirements of CIC (on their website). Many of them are familiar with this once you tell them it's for Canada immigration. They know what to give you.

2. Better to submit the statement along with the letter. That's the perfect combination.

3. I wouldn't worry too much about a lump sum cos it might as well have come from your other account. However, if you borrowed the money or someone gave you out of charity, you can do a gift deed just to be on the safe side.

4. I don't know how to answer this question perfectly, but I'll give you my own experience. I opened a second mutual fund with Stanbic in June by depositing a one-time lump sum. In September I got a letter from them and a statement of account. This was one of my POF which I submitted. So, invariably, did a lump sum transfer about four months before obtaining a letter. I submitted my application in October. Now I have PPR.

Help is still needed here please....

DadR:
Good Morning House,

@ekinado, congrats on your PPR. I tap into your swift timeline.

A quick question please.

For those who had used Money Market Fund as POF, kindly give response to the below enquiries:

1. What kind of confirmation letter should I get from the fund manager and how does the format looks like?

2. Must I submit the statement of the fund?

3. If the above answer is yes, would a lumpsum of about N5m raise an eyebrow?

4. Assuming the lump sum is credited into the fund on January 10 and little subsequent contributions are made thereafter, for how long should the lump sum stay in the money market fund before submitting documents post ITA, that would not raise issue?

Thank you.

Thanks very much and have a beautiful day.

GlitteringStar:
Your OND and BSc certificates will give you points for two or more certificates.

Thanks again glitteringstar, I wish you speedy process of your post ITA application. PPR fall on you soon.

This would be a better alternative because I can get a reference letter for it. It's just for me to determine the right NOC. However, I hope I would still be able to claim points for my OND and B. Sc. I. E. two or more degree?

Regards,

GlitteringStar:
Alternatively, you can use the 4 years and 9 months work experience as your primary NOC if you can get reference letter for it. The date you became qualified to practice in this case will be the date written on your OND certificate. You can include others under your personal history details when you get an Invitation to Apply.
