When you keep voting for people who can’t protect you, you’ll die for the wrong reasons, even the cheap ones

1. Never discuss your choice candidate:

Don’t ever discuss your choice of political party/candidate right from the corner of your room, in the car, and even at the polling booth. There are numerous ‘do or die’ party agents ready for violence at any given period. Be warned! Cast your vote and leave the polling station ASAP! Don’t be a death statistic!

2. Never try to confuse, convince or argue against anyone!

Don’t force your political ideologies on anyone, everyone has the right to his/her thoughts. Arguments escalate really quick, do not die for a politician who doesn’t know your surname.

3. Fill your house with consumables/foodstuffs:

Go to the market and fill up your house with consumables before their prices skyrocket few days to D-day. Chill, listen to good music and dine after casting your vote.

4. Do not loiter around Polling station:

Once you are done casting your vote, leave immediately once again. It’s not your job to help INEC count votes, neither is it your job to ensure which party has a specific number of votes. Each party has paid party agents for this task; don’t end your life over a non-invited, freelance job.

5. Do not travel long distances on Election Day:

If your polling station is quite far from your house, leave the previous day and spend the night in that vicinity. Do not prove smart by driving long distances early Election Day; it will be dark and roads will be deserted, a perfect situation for road attack. Be wise!

6. Arrive early:

Arrive at the polling station early, do your accreditation and cast your vote.

7. Obey all laws:
Obey all security outfits and INEC officials, follow due process and encourage a peaceful election conduct.

‘I was in junior sec school, there was a sabo market not quite far from a school I went to write an exam, I didn’t eat from home and the exam spanned 5 hours. I rushed out immediately after the exam, at that point any buka will suffice. So I entered and washed my hand to eat coz it was a swallow. I didn’t have a problem until the bowl inside which my hand was washed was spit in by 4 very dirty men. I rushed out Make I no throw up in the buka....dat didn’t stop me from eating in buka sha..



Another one was in d Uni, there is this ewa agonyin woman with one naira yams. With ten naira, you’d eat and belle full. But the way we they gather shout ‘beans 3 naira, yam 7 naira’ no be for here. I can literally see saliva settling on the rims of the pot but abeg who cares?
