The 90-year-old Hajiya Fati Koko, popularly called ‘Mai Talle Tara,’ who suffered a stroke while returning from Abuja where she had gone to witness the swearing-in of President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29, has returned tovNigeria from the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai where she received a government-sponsored medical treatment. Mai Talle Tara, a popular businesswoman from Kebbi State, came to fame after she donated her N1million life’s earnings to support Buhari’s presidential campaign. The Kebbi State government took the responsibility of her medical expenses and flew her to the Iranian Hospital in Dubai on October 4. Mai Talle Tara returned on Sunday evening after spending two weeks at the Dubai hospital where she was treated for stroke. Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Sunday night, Mai Talle Tara thanked President Buhari and the Kebbi State government for their efforts toward giving her adequate medical care. Also speaking, the personal physician to the Kebbi State governor, Dr Abubakar Bawa Dakingari, who traveled with her to Dubai, said she was well treated and was recuperating fast. Dakingari dismissed media reports that Mai Talle Tara was abandoned. "After admitting and treating her at the Sir Yahaya General Hospital in Birnin Kebbi at the initial stage, we had to wait until all the processes of traveling abroad were concluded. We had to do visas for all of them (accompanying family members) and you know it is not something you do in a day.” He said the sum of N4 million was expended for the medical trip, which took care of their accommodation and feeding. Hajiya Mai Talle-Tara’s daughter, A’isha Isa, who accompanied her to the Dubai trip, told journalists that her mother was well taken care of at the hospital. "They gave her proper care in everything. They worked very hard on her. They did all the necessary things for her. We thank the Kebbi State government for taking care of our mother. We pray God will guide them in their leadership. We also appreciate the doctor that went with us,” she said. http://leadership.ng/news/468326/pmb-inauguration-90-year-old-woman-returns-after-treatment-abroad

This is an irresponsible answer from a leader. Am highly disapointed. Even if they dont vote you that does not mean they wont get anytin. A situation were the winner takes all is dangerous in a democratic dispensation. |

my own opinion is never you tell her son. Anytime she asked you for money tell her things are hard at your end since you are not working. If her son discovered and confronts his mum definately she will know you are the source. she will term you as a betrayer and back staber and can go all out to separate you from her son. Who knows maybe she might be testing you. You never can tell. |
I have watched the interview and i was trying to
see how the president was embarassed but could
not see it. maybe there is another meaning of
embarassement from the one we all knew. The president calmly answered all questions possed to him.He said by end of the year boko haram will be defeated because the multinational force are waiting for the dry season to forcefuly unleash and uproot boko haram from sambissa. He further said that by the end of the year boko haram wont be able to organise any cohessive attack again but he cant guarantee end to IED attack which might still occur due to desperation from them. on the issue of chibok girls, he said they have an idea were they are but they are been careful because they want them alive and will do anytin including negotiation to see that they are rescued. when pressed further, he said they will only negotiate if they are sure that those they are negotiating with are the true leaders of the sect and if they have guarantee from them that they are alive. The president further said the bait for the negotiation will depends on the scenerio either money, exchange of prisoners etc. on amnesty report on human right abuse, he said he has not seen the report but heard about it and he cant prosecute people on the pages of newspaper. He has to see it and then investigate if found guilty then prosecute. He was asked weather he support imposition of sharia law. he said nigerians did not vote him to change the constitution. Above all a very good interview and in my opinion an improvement on his previous ones as we saw a very 'fluent', confident and calm pres. muhammadu Buhari. |

The club has publicly offered the Portuguese coach their 'full support' despite a run of just two wins in eight Premier League games and a home defeat to Southampton on Saturday. Chelsea have offered manager Jose Mourinho and his squad a vote of confidence following their 3-1 defeat at home to Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday. The Blues claimed the Premier League title last season but have won just two of their first eight games of the 2015-16 campaign and sit 16th in the table. Mourinho insisted after the defeat to Southampton that he would only walk away from Chelsea if the players no longer trusted him, and the club has released a statement offering their public backing to the Portuguese. The statement reads: "The club wants to make it clear that Jose continues to have our full support. "As Jose has said himself, results have not been good enough and the team's performances must improve. However, we believe that we have the right manager to turn this season around and that he has the squad with which to do it." Prior to the defeat to Southampton, Mourinho described Chelsea's slump as the worst period of his career. But the Chelsea boss displayed his defiance in the face of criticism following the shock loss at Stamford Bridge. "If the club sacks me, they sack the best manager this club had," he told reporters. "And secondly, the message is again the message of bad results. The manager is guilty. This is the message, not just these players, the other ones before, they got [the message] during a decade. "This is a moment for everybody to assume their responsibilities. To stick together. This is what I want." http://m.goal.com/s/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2015/10/05/16036662/chelsea-offer-mourinho-vote-of-confidence |
