I am neither. Really, Bluenubian makes me want to cut myself with barb wire. ![]() |
I'm sorry, my Yoruba is not good enough to translate that. |

Hotstepper, you always change your picture. Its is always a pleasant suprise to see that you have put up another beautiful picture of yourself for the entertainment of your male fans here at Nairaland. ![]() |
The whining will stop as soon as the borders are fixed. Trust, the overwhelming amount of good-will that will be in the hearts of the people once the borders are fixed will be enough to make up any lost time that was spent negotiating or fighting for the re-alignment of our borders. The people will for once actually have pride in their country. For, it will be theres. Not some remnant of European imperialism. |
No, actually it is not pathetic. If the rest of the world was put into fake borders, they will be a lot more wars than we are currently experiencing in Africa. |
davidylan, I think the oil prices will be on a steep decline within the next 5 years. That would coincide with the second term of the new President of Nigeria which, as we all know, will come from the North. I can't wait to see the looks on the faces of Nigerias as the economy is bombing under Northern rule. ![]() Woot!! I have something to look forward. I would say, if things stabilize in Iraq, oil prices should be down to 20-30 dollars a barrel. That would be down by 40 dollars from todays levels. Hmmm. . . . I smell inflation in the upper 50s. ![]() |
Seun:Sorry Seun, not everyone is willing to live in servitude to guarantee continuation of life like you are. By your reasoning, those that opposed the Military regime in Nigeria were willing to sacrifice the lives of the people so that they will not become nobodies. My friend, you should try and incorporate some honor into your line of thought. As it sounds now, you come across as someone that is willing to do anything to ensure the continuation of your life. Not a good thing, my friend. |
You know what is really interesting, they expect Bakassi to accept being Camerounian after almost 40 years of being part of a different naiton. It is as if they don't even look at Bakassi residents are people. They should hold elections and let the people there decide for themselves. Screw the UN, screw the bloody colonialist. Let the people decide for themselves if they want to stay in Nigeria, form their own republic or join Cameroon. |
Nice to see I am not the only one that sees the irony in the term "Common Wealth". ![]() |
I hope Nigeria doesn't get the commonwealth bid. Thanks to the British, the real men have to spend their time creating a way to split Nigeria up and undo the madness they have created. The British can take their commonwealth games and all other commonwealth related activities and shove it where the sun don't shine. |
JUST back from medical treatment abroad, Dr. Frederick Fasheun, founder and leader of the ethnic militia, Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), has thrown his weight behind calls for a candidate from the South-South to succeed President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007.Link: http://www.guardiannewsngr.com/news/article04 Dr. Frederick Fasheun released his pledge for support of a South-South Presidency shortly after he was released from prison by the degenerate that has just wasted the South-West's alloted time for power. Do you think the pledge of support from OPC will help or hurt the drive for a South-South Presidency? |
Omogenaija, what Badman said was funny. ![]() |
lol, that was funny. ![]() |
Its good to see that I am not the only one that thinks this is outrageous. You would think that the Senate will be conducting probes of past-Military heads of State and holding them accounting of stolen funds. But instead, they are being given life time hand outs. And yes, this will encourage coups. With the way things are going, I won't be surprised if there is another coup in Nigeria. Because clearly, the Senate and Representative don't seem like the time that will fight for Democracy. |
aloib, don't take pictures of me while I am working! ![]() |
hot-angel, that is how it is done in Nigeria. But, the question that is being posed is, is that how it should be done? Why not have each State be responsible for generating their own revenue? And then, at the end of the month they pay a fee to the federal government. Why should money be taken out of impoverished Niger-Deltan States to build Colleges in Gombe? Are those schools in Gombe tailored for Niger-Deltan citizens? How would you feel if you had to work 50 hours a week only to have it ordered by the Government that you keep 13 percent of what you earn. The rest would be shared amongst people that don't even know you? Remove the Government hand out to State. Let the States keep more of what they make. That way, when roads are not being built, or schools are not functioning proper, the people of the State have only their governors to blame. |
