Seun, Zimbabwe's problem is a lot more complicated than you are making it appear. The white farmers you are talking about didn't really consider themselves Zimbabwean. They felt they were better than the average Zimbabwean and due to the stolen land that they had, they were also a lot richer. So, while it sucks that they lost all their land (The government should only have taken 40 percent or so) these people are far from angels.

Also note that the UK, United States, and many other countries are actively making it difficult for Zimbabwe to sell their products because they want to set an example of them for confiscating land from the white Zimbabweans.

To some how imply that the reason that Zimbabwe's economy tanked is as a direct result of giving the land to the natives is a bit misleading.

The government should invest in Agriculture. However, this would not be at the top of my list for government spending. The government needs to =

1) Provide Stable power (Raise the cost of electricity if needed)
2) Provide security of life and property
3) Crack down on corruption and the perception of corruption.
4) Provide loans to credible, well-educated people that are willing to research and apply modern farming methods. (I.e. don't give 20,000 naira to Ibrahim/Tokumbo, the secondary school drop-out, so he can waste that money on silly farming errors).

So, yes, the Government should invest in Agriculture (In the form of low interest or 0 interest loans) but only to those that are capable of operating large scale, and efficient farms.

Jakumo, for the Niger Delta to be Nigeria's Vietnam, they would need funding and equipment from other countries. The only reason that Vietnam defeated America was because the Soviets and the Chinese were willing to supply pro-communist countries whatever they needed to stop the spread of capitalism in Asia.

Nigeria is not ready for a female President. Heck, women speaking out in public get dirty looks in many parts of the country.

I voted no, but I know little about Atiku. I will definately not vote for IBB. Buhari's extreme religious stance is also a major turn off for me.


However if I had to chose between the 3, I would vote for Atiku. Frankly, I am willing to take anything but IBB.

It is 18 in most parts of the US. I think it should be raised to 21, but those that have sex under that age with people within 2-3 years of them should only get a minor fine.

wavy pools are nice too. The bad thing about them is that the only ones near where I live are in the amusement park. And amusement parks make me sick. I think I have a problem with being around too many smiley faces.  

You should try it. The rush you get from being between land and a vast ocean is amazing. It is also safe because it is easier to float in ocean water.

Also, if you choose the right beach, you won't have to worry about sharks.

Jakumo, that would be wrong. How do you know that those people are child molesters? It is similar to how many people who are not gay support gay rights. Don't be so quick to judge.

And even if they had inclinations to molest children, as long as they do not elude to it or commit the crime, it would be wrong to punish them. Once you begin letting emotions decide your actions, instead of your brain, you are heading down the part of tyranny.
