Omegenaija, I won't say that Nigerian high school students are smarter than American high school students. You are comparing the elite private schools in Nigeria to the public schools in America. You should get to know some of the students from private schools in America. They are just as smart, and in some areas, smarter than private school Nigerian students.

Also keep in mind that the way Nigerias educational system is, there is a lot of cramming of useless information. What really matters is English and Math. All the cramming of advanced biology is only needed for those that are interested in entering the science field. Hence, those courses should be kept for college level like it is in America.
