An undergraduate student of School of Health Technology in Tsafe, Zamfara state - has died after being involved in a fatal car accident. According to reports, the young man was said to have been on his way to Sokoto state before the accident happened at Kebbi.

He was among those who didn't survive the ghastly motor crash before he was taken to the hospital.

His corpse is reported to be at the general hospital in Aliero town in Kebbi state.

May his soul rest in peace.

A man was arrested by some Edo youths for allegedly selling Nigerian girls into slavery in Libya. According to information gathered, the man was allegedly responsible for selling Nigerian girls who are looking for greener pastures in Europe into slavery as they pass through Libya.

The man was accosted by some youths who accused him of selling country girls into slavery as he was beaten before being dragged away.

Further details about the suspect's whereabouts were not given.

Meanwhile, In the midst of the uproar over revelations that Libyan nationals are buying and selling migrants as slaves in Libya, it was reported that Nigerians based in the country also sell their fellow countrymen.

One of the Libyan returnees, 26-year-old Odion Saliu, a hairdresser from Edo State, said she was kidnapped and handed over to a Nigerian, who forced her to call her mother.

According to her, her mother in Benin paid N200, 000 but she was again sold by the same Nigerian for 3,000 dinars (about N794, 000).

A Video is currently trending online showing the moment a young man was rescued and arrested after allegedly jumping inside a lagoon in Lagos in a bid to kill himself. Rescuers at the Lagoon were swift to rescue the troubled young man after jumping into the water.

When he was being rescued and arrested, the young man (in black shirt) was shouting, 'let me just die, you people should leave me alone, what is in this life'.

He was later taken into custody by the authorities in order to determine what led to his suicide attempt and also prevent him from killing himself.

An eyewitness, Chiekezi Dozie shared the footage on Facebook as he wrote; There are too many people trying to commit suicide in Lagos. When did suicide become “a thing”??

Police operatives have apprehended five deadly trans-Boarder armed robbers operating along Nigeria/Benin Republic border on motorcycles with AK47 Rifles hidden under the seat. The suspects who were arrested by IRT operatives are:

1) Femi Adegbile 29yrs From Ologuneru LGA Oyo state
2) John Ajayi 41yrs Native of Benin republic
3) Ajayi Kamoru 47yrs Native of Benin republic
4) Emil Goduo 34yrs Native of Benin Republic,
5) Saheed Shosanya 27yrs Native of Odeda LGA Ogun State.

Their operational Ak47 rifle was hidden under the seat along with two magazines fully loaded with 60 rounds of live ammunition.

The suspects confessed to multiple car snatching and many armed robberies along the Nigeria/Benin Boarder while disguising as normal okada riders.

A Facebook user spotted this little baby suffering from a medical condition known as Hydrocephalus which caused her head to swell abnormally. The baby who has been in pains following the gathering of fluids in the brain - was seen crying as her mother consoled her joyfully while revealing that the baby would have undergone medical treatment if not for financial restraints.

Preparations are now being made to raise funds for the baby.

Hydrocephalus (also called “water on the brain”) can make babies’ and young children’s heads swell to make room for the excess fluid. Older kids, whose skull bones have matured and fused together, have painful headaches from the increased pressure in the head.

The police officer who was killed after being knocked down by a vehicle in Ekiti state - has been buried amid tears. The deceased identified as Inspector Kayode Gabriel of the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) – was due for promotion to the rank of ASP before he was killed in the accident.

The policeman was hit by a Toyota Sienna Van which also knocked down two pedestrians on Bashiri road just before the newly constructed over head bridge in Ekiti. .

Football fans are claiming that Lionel Messi predicted his country's defeat after showing signs of serious stress ahead of Argentina's World Cup clash with Croatia. BBC cameras filmed the Argentina team as the country's national anthem was played to the crowd ahead of the group game.

A woman is filled with thanks to God for granting her victory over a python and scorpion which attacked her home recently. It happened that upon returning home with her daughter, they discovered a python laying there on the floor.

The daughter actually stepped to a corner of the house to urinate and noticed the python. She immediately raised an alarm and beckoned the mother. The woman reportedly jumped into action and had to kill the python.'

According to reports, an iron weapon was brought to her and she attacked the python though it attempted to crawl away. When she succeeded in hitting the head, she was able to cut off the head.

That same night, she discovered a scorpion hidden in a corner of the house. She was also able to kill that Scorpion

A 14-year-old girl has been arrested and charged for stealing in Asaba, Delta state capital.. According to reports, the young girl who is said to be out of school due to lack of funds - worked at a Suya joint where she was the record keeper before the money in her possession got missing which led to her arrest.

It was gathered that the amount that got missing is N420,000 but after much pleas from the girl's mother and sister, the complainant later agreed to be pay N300,000.

A well meaning Nigerian and philanthropist, Emefiele who secured the girl's release earlier today has pledged to raise the required amount to free the girl totally.

Yesterday, a co-founder of Baltimore-based Global Air Media along with his team conducted a drone technology presentation for students and officers of Airforce Girls Comprehensive School (AFGCS) in Abuja. The participating students were able to build, fly, and land five drones during the workshop.

A group --“Girls without Borders”-- made a presentation on how to reduce the rape of school girls by using drones with censors, fast rollers, cameras, and emergency buttons to alert the police.

The drone would be operated by a wristwatch that students can wear.

The committee headed by the Hon Attorney general and Commissioner for Justice Barr Kaka Shehu Lawan and commissioner for Land and survey Borno state Hon. Sugun Mai Mele - led the demolition of the notorious den of prostitutes and criminals as some young men and women were arrested in the process.

This is coming weeks after the Borno State Government said that it plans to convert the notorious Galadima prostitution den in Maiduguri to public schools for the members of the community.

“There are no schools in the whole of this neighbourhood. “We have the option of building schools here to meet the yearnings and aspiration of people,’’ governor Kashim Shettima said.

Residents of Ifitedunu in Anambra state were shocked yesterday after finding the corpse of a yet-to-be identified woman who was killed by unknown assailants..According to Njoku Obed Chinwendu who shared the news, a warning note was left at the scene where her corpse was dumped - suggesting that she might have been killed by the wife of an alleged lover.

A Nigerian man was given a big surprise by his wife after their landlord came to their house to collect the rent. According to the man identified as Goodluck, his landlord came to their house angrily to collect his rent which expired a month ago as he (the landlord) shouted to the hearing of his neighbors thereby humiliating him in the process.

His lovely wife who felt embarrassed decided to cover her husband's shame and save his face by coming to his aid when he needed it most.

She gave him the sum of N147, 400 which she had been saving in a box - to pay the house rent.

The excited man took to Facebook to share the good news as he advised men to try and marry a good wife.

"My wife surprised me today. My landlord came to my flat today and embarrassed me by shouting to the hearing of the whole neighbours that my rent expired last month and he needed repayment as for me hush my pocket is not telling me good story.

A young man identified as Danladi Lade has been killed after a fight while celebrating Sallah in Yola, Adamawa state. The deceased who graduated from Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola - was stabbed to death with a knife after a brawl ensued over an undisclosed issue. He was said to have died moments after the attack.

A Nineteen-year-old Bernard has been given another reason to smile after the successful removal of huge tumor on his face through surgery. The young man who had a medical condition known as neurofibroma (a tumour formed on a nerve cell sheath) had the growth on his face for over a decade, according to reports.
