The reality remains; for now PMB can't only investigate PDP, I'm sure if he is able to finish with PDP before his tenure he may extend the search to APC member. |

P.S - Do not quote me if you ate Aisha's 'bloggers-of-change' rice and sauce or else..... Personally, I dnt see anything like maturity here. We need credible opposition in this country and PDP doesn't have what it takes. I pray a credible and bold party spring up to put this government on their toes. No wonder PMB doesn't send with some of his actions Here we are for months no fuel and the government is doing nothing. All of us admitted that LEGISLATORS budget is too much during GEJ but PMB budgets 115billions and nobody is talking. I want PMB to succeed and for our generation to see good leadership in this country for the first time and I believe him BUT we need credible opposition |

Free education (tuition) for science and education students in the tertiary institutions is needless. We are not lacking science and education graduates. These monies can be utilized in strengthening infrastructure and creating enabling environment for the growth of private sector driven business. Well said. Your suggestion is far better. Fuadx1: Hope you know what you are commenting? Your calculation of 300 millions as 50k salary for each of the 500,000 teachers is not even up to 1bn out of 369.6 bn budgeted for education.. How unrealistic is this? Even if it is 100k per teacher the total salary for the year will be 600,000 000 base on your calculation (which is still not upto 1bn) The calculation is correct. It's 300billion not million but he said it clearly that is in partnership with state and local government |

He said in partnership with state and local government. I think you miss that part kodded: concerning the 500 000 teachers
let me say each teacher wll receive N50 000 a month
N50 000 × 12 months (1 year) = N600 000
N600 000 × 500 000 (teachers) = N300 000 000 000
am I the only one who believe that this project is as unrealistic as the N5000 promised to the unemployed youths |

I agree with you but GEJ would have probe the past administration. It's ideal you start from whoever hands over to you first before digging dip. We should ALL support what will reduce corruption in this nation. Even if the fight is selective as we all claim, one day APC will also be in opposition and same will happen to them. If Nigeria politicians are aware of this they will tred with caution while in,power. Demmocrats: Even though am APC, i have to say the truth the war against corruption is selective. We are know that Jonathan did his looting but when compared to the previous heads of state its like change. If my Sai Buhari wants to fight corruption truly and recover billions of dollars let him start from those below;
1. Obsanjo 2. IBB 3. Abdulsalami Abubakar
Even former vice presidents and governors that are dancing under the umbrella of APC. |

You were meant to say people that should have voted for him. No doubt Wike will still win Rivers, but this time around he should allow people to vote for him not using guns and intimidation. They didn't allow people to vote in most LGA during the last election Opinedecandid: No qualms, no shaking, Dear Governor of Rivers State.
The people that voted for you are still solidly behind you.
If they like, let them conduct the guber polls for 10 times, you will win 10 times.
No amount of intimidation, 'Cash and Carry judgment' and 'Federal Might' nonsense will be able to get Rivers, Bayelsa, AkwaIbom, Delta and Cross River to the APC.

To an extend you are right. However, I think what usually happen is that the ruling party bcs of our type of democracy tends to use every instrument in their disposal to ensure the election result favours them. That is why the probability that their election result could be be nullify when table turns around is higher than that of the opposition Godsonkemz: The judiciary is no longer the hope of a common man as our judicial system has systemically compromised to an instrument that can be used as a toy anytime by the ruling party to steal the people's mandate. |

GEJ knew months before election that Nigeria do not want him again. He trid by shifting the dates to see how far he could go to redeem, his reputation but it's was too late. His case is different. He pleased the few and displeased many Nigeria. Example is the way in handled immigration recruitment incident. He had no better option than to accept defeat and redeem his reputation. At least,Nigerian will never forget him for saving us from the terrible post election violent. henrysam: Maybes if GEJ had gone to court, they tribunal could have ordered a re run in the next 90 days But he is more sophisticated than that. No average Nigeria wish we run one party system. It's not healthy for our democracy. However, that dies not mean we should support illegality either in the part of APC or PDP. I live in Rivers, last election was a total mess. I'm sure PDP will still win most of their seat including the givernor if they play their game well by buying the heart of voters instead of using gun. I WL love to see Wike continuing especially owing to his performance so far but not by GUN and intimidation as they did in last election WOCKHARDI: Suppose all the 170 million Nigerians including all LG councillors, States assemblies, governors etc up to the president belong to APC. Will that make Buhari, Tinubu and Oyegun happy? And for whose advantage will that be. Just asking and wondering. |

That is exactly what we need to progress in this country. When we get our electoral process right, everything will fall in in place. We are on the right track. Nigeria shall be GREAT AGAIN PassingShot: The good thing about elections in Nigeria now is that it's extremely difficult to inflate figures. In the past, at the height of PDP rigging, there were 99% voters turnout and 95% win rate for PDP in their stronghold.
Introduction of card reader and PVC has obviously eliminated such fraudulent practices as clearly evident in the last general election and this Kogi election. In Kogi, voters turnout cannot be up to 40% and percentage of votes cast not even 100% of accredited voters.
We owe Jega credit for the introduction of mechanisms that will drastically reduce malpractices and retun confidence into the process.
Dear PMB, please deliver the goods in your tenure. If not, PVC and card reader will deliver us from you in 2019. No sentiments! |

APC should not jubilate yet. The marging is not that wide and INEC will have to add the registered voters in the cancelled centers to PDP. If the total is still less than APC, then APC is the winner. If not they ve to do supplementary election in the cancelled polling units. And don't forget Ina particular LGA, the cancelled votes is over 17,000. So let's be patient for INEC to announce the FINAL RESULT. I WISH THE WINNER ALL THE BEST. I'm totally in support of the fact the the 1%is too high maybe they didn't envisage such huge amount when entering the contract. But I believe the TSA will drastically reduce billions of naira that was been looted in the past. And the beneficiary of such loot are the one crying foul. The government should renegotiate and reduce the commission as the volume increase that should be our concern Ajaoogbo: Nigeria is really a joke! So you were accused of entering a contract that milks a whooping 1% of our revenue and all you could say was that the TSA has not got to the amount alleged and that people alleging should go back to Elementary school. Mr. Lai ,you should know that you're the mouthpiece of the government and it behooves on you to critically analyse any argument raised in favor or against any government policy. The era where you insult people in power as an opposition spokesperson has passed.
For the umpteenth time, the argument is that the percentage is too high and should be reduced to 0.1% as the volume of transaction expected to flow through it is huge. So take your premises from there! |
