AstraNetwork:But bros, most of the roads he had completed so far were like 90/95% completed by past administration. Though I give him kudos for that because government is continuous and it's not the usual practice of Nigeria politicians |
The amount spent to commission bridge with these canopies that I'm seeing might even be more than the amount spent on the bridge. I only blame Oga Amechi that almost finished the road and leave the small bridge. That's why I like Wike, he ensure that most of the past administration project is completed which shows that government is continuous Anyway I'm happy about the opening of the road after amost 8months blockage at least it will reduce Amadi,Amadi traffic. |
In as much that I'm totally against the action of this guy, I'm still of the opinion that it's more of two young people falling in love than the abduction. Most of our adolescent girls are very naive and don't think of the consequences of their actions especially when the claim they are in love. The only criminal offence here is forceful conversion to Islam. We see this stupid action of the adolescent girls here and there. That's why I keep encouraging parents to be closer to their adolescents |
The guy is trying sha. He is seriously working hard to complete Amechi's project. But honestly the small bridge is taking forever to finish. It's almost 8month now just to do that small bridge. They need to speed u the work that bridge is too short to take that long. God bless Rivers State and Nigeria as a whole |
Having gone through most comments, it's clear that most Nigeria youth don't read or don't comprehend what they read and it's a shame. Read most of my comments, I criticize both APC and PDP when needed. But what Laolu said it's clear. Government will pay 5k to poor Nigerians and create job(teaching) for unemployed graduate. I will rather suggest we wait till they begin to implement the budget. I will rather prefer government employ my unemployed siblings as teacher and pay them 50k to given them 5k monthly without doing anything. There proposed policy is the best. Pay those rural poor Nigerian 5k and make the unemployed productive. Let's wait then judge them after budget implementation. However, I still don't know how they intend to identify who is poor when we don't have credible data. I just pray the money will not end up in the acct of these greedy politicians |
Since the EFCC arrested these nothern guys, no arewa or any group is protesting on their behalf. But the reverse is the case if it happens to southerners. We really need to grow up if we want to move forward in this, country. |
I believe it's high time Nigeria turn their search light into state budget. The attention is too much on FG which has littl or no direct impact on the common masses like state. I think it's high time we compel the state government to make their budget breakdown public. I'm sure most Nigerians will begin to stone their governor when seeing the budget. If this mobile mobile office rumor is true, then we are finished by these same crop of politicians be APC or PDP. We all agreed that our economy is in mess presently and it doesn't bother these group of armed robbers to cut their personal expenses. This same man who can't continue to pay overseas scholarship for the indigenes who are already on the scheme and asked them to be recalled because of dwindling revenue. I weep for my country. I'm sure same unemployed youth that should see beyond ethnic and regional politics will be defending and justifying the actions of these selfish and greedy politicians (APC or PDP) I don't care I believe it's the right time we begin to condemn these people when they do what is unfair and commend them if they do right irrespective of their party. I live in PH and I can testify to the massive work Wike is doing especially to complete Amechi's which is rare in Nigeria. However on this Mobile office worth 300millions if it's true is condemnable |
Our politicians are now holier than Pope. How I wish they really know this God. But I don't blame them, I blame the gullible Nigerian that get deceives by this politicians. They will armed their boys during election and innocent lifes will be lost and yet ascribed victory to God. Pls dnt get me wrong, no political party is excepted before people will call me APC member or wailer |
You are making roughly 100k based on what you said and you manage to save about 40k. You can go ahead and settle down if you have a wife material. And I can assure you that if you marry a prudent woman, you will still save up to that before having children. I leave in PH and I do spend roughly 100k monthly before I got married. And now with a kid, I spend just a little above that. However, I'm sure the bill will be higher with one more kid most especially when they start school. And mind you, my wife is not working yet till we have our second child. The honest truth is that my wife is very prudent and not the "copy copy" type |
Nothing is wrong with it if it's aim at fishing out the ghost workers. This is a right step. I learnt that FG is using BVN to fish out ghost workers based on the info gave by Minister of Finance. It's a good development. The corruption in civil servants is bigger than the alleged Dansukigate. We should rally round the government in any genuine efforts to minimize waste |
As far as I'm concerned, this man will only make sense when he lead a campaign that National Assembly give Nigerian a breakdown of their 115billion 2016 budget. Without this I don't see any common sense in anything he says |
Not only Lagos. I drove pass about 7 filling stations in Port Harcourt this morning they were under lock and key. I learnt that the few ones that sell, do sell well above 120. I just don't get this. Since the beginning of the tenure of this present administration, we never had a full month without fuel scarcity. If they choose to remove subsidy, it should be total rather than still compelling marketers to sell at fixed price. We will keep having this stupid reoccurrence |
I do have a major problem with way will react to these supreme court latest judgment. Most APC sympathizers are pained because it didn't go their way while PDP sympathizers are in support of the judgment. However only few( very few) are analyzing the judgment dispassionately. But my fair is this except our electoral acts is amended in conjunction with this constitution, we may end up with one party system like OBJ era come 2019. I will strongly recommend that well meaning Nigeria and PDP( the so called opposition party) should be in the lead to ensure CARD READER is more efficient and enshrine in our constitution. If not APC may laugh last regards the latest supreme court judgment come 2019 and Nigeria may end up being the loser and this will set us back like 50years which we don't pray for. In as much I hate to say this, GEJ lost election basically bcs of the CARD READER. We all know the enormous power of federal might especially as regard the election in this country |
Though it's not realistic for now but I hope one day in Nigeria CITIZENSHIP will replace this shallow mindset of state of origin. No one is interested in what move this country forward anymore. And the most disheartening is that the youths are the pioneer of this practice that move us no where. What's is the benefits of my village man being in power and I dnt get the basic dividends of democracy. Our priority should be who will deliver not where he/she comes from. And if we can't realize this I think it's better we divide but my fear is that won't this myopic mindset continue even after division. Take Rivers as a case study, an Ogoni and others still feel marginalized by Ikwere in terms of politics bcs we don't see ourselves as one. Honestly we still have a very long way to go but I believe this can be shortened if we the youth change our mindset |
Honestly, I still have major problem with the gullibility of the so called Nigeria youths. Most comments i read read on this platform which is a reflection of how Nigeria youth reason are very disheartened. We still have a very long way to go in this country and it's very painful |
henryhemon:My brother, what you said here is the only way forward. Just take a statistics from nairaland that is mainly youth, our comments show our gullible most Nigeria youths are. Some bcs they are sympathetic to APC will never see anything wrong with the present government and likewise the PDP sympathizers will never see anything good with the present government And the painful thing is that we the youth are the most affected with government policies and decision and the earlier we start engaging our political leaders irrespective of party constrictively the better for this country. We need to stop this partisan politics especially some of us that we don't benefits anything directly from them. |
henryhemon:serious flaws. Neither Wike nor PDP can deny the fact that the election was militarized. The only reason the supreme court gave that verdict was basically bcs our electoral acts doesn't recognize card reader. We need to move forward in this country and the only way forward is credible election. Though Wike is trying in PH to specific and I can attest to that. |
Siberia101:They are real scam. And the most annoying thing is that our so called youths are yet to come to term with this reality. We support them without reasoning. And the politicians know this. The day we realize this and say no to their scam, that's the beginning of the long overdue revolution in this country |
I hope and pray that same free and fair election will repeat itself come March. I just don't get it. Our politicians are so manipulative and some people also are very gullible especially our so call youth. There should be free and fair elections irrespective of the party at the central. And the solution is efficient and reliable card reader. If care it's not taken APC will use Federal might and ask Wike to go to court and with the recent supreme court judgment, we are doomed. I won't stop advocating for the amendment of our electoral acts. That's the only way out. I'm sure APC would have done worse in Bayelsa if supreme court had given the latest judgment earlier and with that, we are 50years backward again |
chukwudi44:My brother, compare last election with the previous ones, you will agree with me that there is a departure. And APC didn't know that the supreme court will go this way before Bayelsa election. They would have done worse. As regard the fact that Wike is not afraid, I bet to disagree. Why do you think he keep threatening INEC about rigging the forthcoming re-run. He knows better bcs he has been at the federal before. But I'm more concern with what will minimize election rigging and for now card reader is the option. We should make it more efficient. And amend our electoral act to make it legal. The system should be fair and to an extent credible, only then we will have a credible leader I am in PH and and I can tell you authoritatively that I'm enjoying the dividends of democracy. And we need more of such in Nigeria generally and this can only happen if our leaders know that we voted them into power |
Though I respect the sanctity of supreme court but this is why I never supported their judgment regarding card reader. And the earlier we amend our electoral acts the better. Wike knows what the power that be can do especially during election that's why is afraid now. He knows what they did in last election. We will not get it right in this nation except we get our electoral system right. And the best option is to include card reader into our electoral act. Wike should know that what goes around comes around. As a matter of urgency, PDP should even take the front lead regards this card reader thing instead of over celebrating the supreme court judgment bcs if that is not done before 2019, with the APC desperation we may end up with one party system again. |
Can't fault supreme court judgment but I pity PDP by 2019. PDP may be celebrating the judgment now but if nothing is done to our electoral act to make card reader legal, we may end up with one party system after 2019 election. And this will take us 50years backward as a nation. This card reader is the best that ever happened to our election in Nigeria but with this judgment, I weep for my dear country bcs APC will do worse than PDP especially if Jagamban(Tinubu) still remain APC leader. Last election with the aid of card reader proved that figure in the earlier elections were pure manipulation and if nothing is done to ensure card reader is constitutional, we may see worst figure in 2019. As concern youths, the earlier we mount pressure on our so call legislators to amend the constitution the better for us. We can afford to go back to Egypt. God bless Federal republic of Nigeria |
Honestly, I'm not surprised with this figure. The moment, I saw that 115b is budgeted for the National Assembly when fuel benchmark is $38 per barrel compare to 120b budgeted by GEJ when fuel was over $100, I began to doubt the change preached by APC. We are watching in 7D. Hope to see the impact of the token they planned to use for the common man. God dey |
OP, with all humility if you try what PMB has passed through even at this your age, you would have ask for a month vacation long time ago. Do you have idea what it means to be president at that age. |
Boss, you are doing a great work here. God bless Pls kindly help check this VIN number 5GNYF28278B004479. Thanks so much |
ozo13:Thanks for that info |
Honestly, I'm not a fan of this phrase of ANTI-CORRUPTION WAR should not be SELECTIVE Buhari led federal government will focus on past federal government corruption cases and they're mainly PDP. So any move he makes to fight corruption for now will look selective but to me it's not. We should all support him to ensure that this cancer is dealt with |
OP do you have an ideal of how much is 150tri. I doubt of US budget is that much. Anyway it is just 150billion. It's a huge some provided it's not relooted like the previous recovery |
I think Ben Bruce and the OP would have posted PMB congratulations message to Yaya Bello of Kogi before criticizing him of not congratulating Dickson. No wonder these politicians keep giving us irrelevant issue to occupy ourselves with like missing budget. Ww should engage our leaders on critical issues that will move this nation forward not these petty issues |
I did my NYSC in rivers in 2007. I saved all my state allowance (110k) plus some money saved from school where I did secondary assignment and some private lesson. I was able to save almost 200k. I used the money to rent an office where i started a business I still manage till date. Though saving such amount wasn't easy but I had to discipline my self and work hard which still help me in business till date |
This is why some of us support a bill to regulate social media. Some fake news are capable of setting this nation on fire. I pity those that will believe this news. |
These people have no shame at all. No wonder we are not progressing in this country. In a normal society, thus guy should be hidden in shame. What a pity |
