On which ground will you be doubting this. This is Nigeria have you forgotten. To me this is even surprising that each person gets this. Our so called leaders are worst than the devil. To me I would have appreciate they pay the most vulnerable in the state 5k each directly to their account. But trust the politicians, they will never do what is beneficial to the citizens if they wouldn't benefit 85% them. dawnomike: |
What an irony. It's such a pity that our leaders only think about themselves and themselves only Racoon: |
Honestly our political leaders are not serious from the beginning. Some of them aren't thinking but just to show that they belong. My opinion may not be popular but this lock down in Nigeria isn't necessarily. I recommend we make palliative available to Nigeria especially the poor Nigeria to boost their immune system and improve ghetto current conditions of our health infrastructure. However, I strongly believe city like Lagos and Abuja should have such of measures to prevent interstate traveling. From the way our leaders are going about this their lock down, hunger will even kill some Nigerians and most people will revoke if this lock down continues |
I just don't understand how Nigerians think. To me no reasonable person should donate a dine to government at the moment. We have lots of poor people around us that 1k means a lot to at this moment. We all know that there is bit of altruism in whatever gesture we do but please let's channel our giving to those who really needs it not these clueless leaders landmark86: |
donchukwu25:Check your account. Save trip |
sureteeboy:Your deduction is right but not correct. Remembered those tested are those who have travel history or have contact with those who have been tested positive. If you submit that 1 out of every suspected cases; those with travel history or have contact with infected person, then you are absolutely correct. My biggest fair is for a situation where our health facilities and manpower will be over burden. Even the best of the country are not having it funny talkless the developing countries. I'm sure we are coming out stronger provided majority take this pandemic serious and play our role as individual |
This is highly insensitive of a governor at this time. I'm not sure he has any functional facility to tackle this problem if it becomes pandemic, God forbid. From the report, the American guy that died in Ekiti already spent 2weeks in Ibadan. If God dont miraculously intervene, the magnitude of this problem is better imagined. Who cursed Nigeria with these crops of leaders, they are all useless and clueless.the virus no dey look status |
I'm sure someone like you celebrated PDP curt victory in Zamfara. We have lots of hypocritical people in this country. It's now that any Governor declared by competent course having look at the merit of the case before him is illegitimate. Typical of Nigerian man ote author=Atouke post=85800053] Have you ever heard of a figure head? Without the mandate of the people that what he will be an illegitimate leader. And only supporters of injustice like you will cheer him. Note when Injustice visit your household too do not complain, bear it since you have proven that you love injustice.
|
That's Nigerian for you my guy. We keep destroying our judiciary especially when judgement isn't in our favor. Just imaging the same Judiciary that now raped democracy removed APC from ballot box in a state like Rivers. Lynx001: |
This is very educative |
Another Rivers scenario loading for APC in Logo if not handle properly |
Typical of Nigerian. PMB actually pocketed Judiciary indeed. He even instructed them to give a crucial judgement in favour of PDP in Zamfara. By the time we condemn every system in the name of hatred to me I don't know how we will defend such system if it give judgment in our favor. Whenever it goes our way, it's victory for democracy but if it's other way, then the judiciary is compromised Lamasta: |
Honestly, my problem is not whatever anybody post on social media just to get unnecessary attention but we the so called educated Nigerian who take every information without reasoning. It's such a shame that people that should be in the best position to check fact and properly educate other by virtue of their enlightenment are even the most gullible. If we continue this way just because of our hatred for an individual, I'm afraid we are ending to a dangerous end as a country. There are some information that I will naturally be the last to believe. Pls let's learn to use our head |
Nigerian politicians. This our God is such a patient God. These same set of people that kill to get to position of power. Let no one be deceived, God can't be mocked. Rivers state is made up of mostly people who claimed to be Christians that's a fact. However, are these people which I'm among really Christ like is another question entirely. Most communities in Ogoni are deserted due to rampage activities of cult members likewise most other community. Our politicians always play this religion card because they know majority are gullible. I'm a Christian and I live in Rivers but is Rivers state a Christian state only God can perfectly answer that. |
The irony if this scenario is that Wike even do worst than this in Rivers during last house of Assembly in Rivers. A scenario where the choice of APC member as a minority member was rejected and the PDP member imposed their own choice of minority on APC which happened to be minority. I still don't understand how these politicians think. Everything must go their way either way. Same PDP that was accusing PBM of imposing the principal officers of their on the national assembly is even doing worse. It's well with our politicians, I doubt if they actually think at all Nwadiuto247: |
I can't but agreed with all you said aside the " brainless loser" anyway. I just don't understand how people just conclude that judiciary is compromised when a judgement didn't go in their direction. I'm neither APC nor PDP fan but from the recent judgment I can conclude that PMB is a man of principle. Though I don't except die hearted PDP to accept this assertion but it's the truth. The Zamfara and Rivers judgments are clear examples. With all honesty I don't think most presidents aside Musa Yaradua of blessed memory in Nigeria can. Not to say PMB didn't have his shortcomings ooooooo especially how he handled former CJN case My point is that we should stop this act of condemning the judiciary when a judgement didn't our way. It's ridiculous and we can't grow as a nation if we continue such BabaAduras: |
Stepping down has never be an option for our shameless politicians. He should be arrested and prosecuted simple. Even when the no one position was alleged for false declaration of assets he remained as senate president through out the trial. We haven't gotten to the level of morality yet especially those occupying political positions daddytime: |
This same CJN inside PMB pocket ruled in Zamfara case in favour of PDP. I don't understand how we reason in this country. Must we be blindfolded all the time because of our political affiliation. We should allow these independent arms do their work abeg. If it favor you it's justice to democracy but if not the Judges have been bought. We can continue like this thesicilian: |
You nailed it ba7man: |
Your deduction is wrong, not all South-West voted for APC. Oyo State was won by PDP and other elective position like senate and house of representatives seat have members from both major parties in all the south-west state. To me that's how politics is played so as to remain relevant whichever party wins. You don't play politics of hatred and expect a better deal. We all need to learn and move ahead Having said that, I believe in fairness irrespective who is wrong or right. APC would have done that by zoning all the major positions to all the zones jumobi1: |
A key group that put all her eggs in one basket. Politics isn't play in such manner if the key group hope to remain relevant. Politics is a game one play with so much permutations and smartness TheBeat: |

From my observation anyone that win any poll on nairaland especially the likes and share, shouldn't bother to contest again. He should use the result on nairaland to accept his defeat. deleyi20: |
lilvicky68:I just don't understand how someone sensible will believe that last picture. This guy stop get to work rather than looking for useless sympathy. He's now the governor. This is same thing most of us are complaining about PBM for. Fix the mess if it's even true rather than whining |
It's such a pity that the crop of young Nigerian will never and I repeat NEVER see anything good with your write. Most people sense of reasoning has is so clouded by sentiment and hatred. It so disheartened that we find ourselves in this mess called politics of hatred rather than what we move is forward as a people. What you said is the truth and I'm certain any of us that reasoning along this line might be targeted as Buhari supporters. And pls don't convince them we aren't because the sentiment and hatred have come beyond redeemable level. But I'm certain one day, majority of our youths will come to realize that politicians are merely our servant. They don't what selling our sense of reasoning for.
It is so good to know that we have a president who does not intervene in the rule of law. This can never ever happen in the 16 years of election malpractice in the time of PDP, the party of fraud and corruption. God bless our darling President Muhammadu Buhari. God bless Nigeria. This is democracy @ it's peak. The will of Nigerians will not be subverted. Never! A President once told us in this country that the coming polls would be do or die. Not with President Buhari. Fair is fair. No foul play. Under his watch, his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa, Zamfara and Anambra states. At the recent Council of States meeting, Gov Willie Obiano publicly registered his appreciation to President Buhari, for the level playing ground he made available during the election in his state. With do or die apostles, and a certain political party in power, such would never happen. Not with their garrison mentality. All states are territories that must be conquered, willy-nilly. APC has won gubernatorial positions under Buhari in Kogi, Ondo and Edo states. The victories were fair and square. The party lost in Bayelsa, Zamfara and Anambra. This President would never manipulate victory for anyone, not even his own party. And you ask us not to trust him? We will, and no mistake.
|
bluebay:Plz we should learn to give our institutions benefit of the doubt. Allowing our sentiment to always cloud our reasoning isn't the best. The same acting CJN that is meant to be Buhari's puppet gave this same Zamfara judgment. Let's allow these people do their work. We are too sentimental in this country and it's not helping us in any way |
windhunter:Op, it's well with you. Reading this your response makes me remembered a stage in my life that for over two years my life was almost on stand still. I search every seconds on the internet about my symptoms. I did different tests on my own even without doctor recommendations. But all to know avail. Until i make consciousness effort to ignore the symptoms and come to a conclusion that I can only die when God says, that was the beginning of my healing. I know it's not easy. You have allowed the symptoms to take hold of your life and until your change your mind set and start pursuing your dream you may be held hostage by these symptoms for a very long time. You are now having a case of serious depression and it comes with series of strange feelings in your body. You can consider talking to a psychiatrist if you can't handle it on your own Bros, take charge of you life and move on by pursuing your dream, I can tell you for free, the symptoms will gradually disappear. And more importantly get closer to your God, He's the only solution |
100% correct Startup00: |
If nothing is done as soon as possible to curb these incessant killing almost everywhere in Nigeria; from Zanfara to Port Harcourt, this menace may continue to increase. Naturally when the blood of innocent person is shed, it usually cries for vengeance and this leads to more killings. All hands must be on deck to reduce curb this. The political leaders, religious leaders and even the community leaders. These killings must stop. It's so disheartening that all of us go about our normal duty as if nothing is happening. There is virtually cult killings everyday in my beloved Rivers State. It's like what happened in a campus with cultist are on rampage, you hear gun shot and thank your God that's the bullet didn't hit you and you continue your normal activity. These killings here and there is getting out of hands. |
How come Justice Tanko isn't giving judgment in favour of APC. I thought PDP sympathizer said he is going to be APC puppet. I usually weep when Nigerians especially educated youths support politicians blindly. No wonder we are where we are as a nation. It's such a pity |
Honestly this menace has been there but the advantage of social media is what's exposing the evil and consequently creating awareness. Patenting is this century is actually a big task. The irony of the whole scenario is that what's been reported is insignificant compared to what these monsters are doing to young and innocent kids. Moreover, this isn't about girl child alone, even innocent boys are being abuse also. I advise every parent to be extra vigilant. I have a daughter of 4years I rarely allow her to go for vacation with any family member if either myself or my wife wouldn't be present . If she's more mature I can try that Parents are advised to be extra vigilant and give their kids proper training. Though isn't easy MycroftHolmes: |
