As in ehn, it is only in Nigeria that politicians get away with these things.

The CDU was in power for 16 years in Germany until last year when tsunami of defeats swept them outta power. And it all began when a key member of the party was caught on camera laughing while the former Chancellor, Merkel, was addressing the press over the loss of German lives and properties as a result the massive flood. It added to the pending anger of the Germans, and they were massively voted outta power. Until our politicians start getting immediate repercussion for their actions and inactions, they will keep taking us for granted and the country will remain stagnant.
You're right...The bullcrap is enough undecided

I agree with you and, of course, I am happy about the achievements. I think it's worth celebrating at the individual (family) levels. But I do not think it is a thing of joy for Nigeria as a country. Is it not strange that even Canadian citizens are nowhere to be found on the list?

It's no longer news that many Nigerians only use education as a way to escape the perils in the country (same way we use education in Nigeria for immediate economic benefits). That's a thing of joy for whoever is able to escape, no doubt.

I don't think the individuals in that class care much about the southern and northern dichotomy but yeah, that's a thought-provoking viewpoint.
Thanks for the write-up.

I do believe that those relocating via education thought so much about the misrule, bigotry, the imbalance in the entry criteria for admissions into schools and myriads of problems associated with the Northern/ Southern dichotomy that they had to appliy to study Masters in law in Canada which seems irrelevant to their own people such that it's only Nigerian students that are found on the list of graduands

find source of income for them?...So it is normal that people just migrate into lagos without where to live, and engage in criminality as a means of livelihood.they can easily take their bikes back to where they came from and engage it there.

shutup. Talk with sense. Is it because it's not your brother they killed in lekki?
Most okada riders are trouble makers I know... But punishing them this way is wrong. Some of those biked were bought via hire purchase. Some would have taken loans etc...

Lagos government should be more sensitive in touching people's businesses and sources of income anyhow. After all, they made money off these riders daily

They have pumped so much money into rice that I'm surprised that rice is still expensive in this country. And the so called rice pyramid was found to be fake and a fraud..

I'm certain that if that same amount of money was invested in cassava, products like garri, starch, cassava flour but most especially, our industries would be benefitting a whole lot from it...

But trust Buhari to keep pumping money to failed oil prospecting in North East, rice pyramid over and over againhuh

ExAngel007:
A 19-year-old Akwa Ibom girl is currently in a bad state after she was brutalised by her alleged boyfriend in Ugboroke area
of Warri, Delta State.

It was gathered that the suspect identified as Patrick Fregene met the victim on the internet and invited her to Warri. Ever since then he turned her into a punching bag.

"He has been locking her indoor and beating her continuously without his neighbours knowing," a source narrated.

"Thank God for the intervention of his elder brother who heard her crying at night and broke down the door only to discover her like this. She has been taken to the nearest hospital for treatment." the source added.

Human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, confirmed the incident on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

"A quick visit this morning to the 19 years old akwa-Ibom state lady, beaten to a pulp by her boyfriend in Ugboroke,
Uvwie, Delta State. There is no justification for such action against anyone and the law would take its course even if the said suspect is on the run," he wrote.

The North will play their game of allowing Southern aspirants and their supposed supporters to keep fighting themselves and also split votes while they clinch the power again..

Simple lesson of working together to get the power back from the North is important. At least when Obasanjo and Jonathan were in power, things were better, less insecurity and economic sectors were doing good.

What's great about this news though?
Well, it does show the good citizens of Southern part of Nigeria making academic impact all over the world. That at least, 50% are of Yoruba extraction. The remaining 50% shared by SE and SS. 0% from the North despite their claims to the largest population in Nigeria.

The North don't want brain power, just religion. they only want power and they do nothing but promote religious and ethnic sentiments/ violence and to place taxes on the industrious south to pay for their many wives and children.
