If the two believed most holy pple on earth were perfect then prophet muhammad would have seen the high fever coming to kill him and wouldn't have died (early) at the age of 62 likewise Jesus christ would have seen his crucifixion to avoid early death at 33 because then pple lived up to 150 yrs. We are living in a world of mysteries For the record, Jesus christ did see his crucifixion, just didn't avoid it to have what is written come to pass #KnowYourBiBle |

Godmystrength: I am not talking about cooking, sleeping or watching TV. I am talking generally.
Slaving around is when there are so many things that needs to be done at the same time and one person is busy doing one things and moving to the next and to the next while the other person is busy doing nothing. Pardon my use of the word 'slaving' if that is not acceptable. Example is a weekend when there is need for cleaning the house, washing and ironing all the clothes used over the week, cooking soup for the coming week, market runs, making of hair, barbing of hair etc and the man (because he sees everything as the woman's responsibility) decides to go barb his hair and from there go visit his friends while the woman finish cleaning the house alongside washing of clothes, goes to the market, comes back to do the cooking (all these along interruptions of attending to the baby/kid(s)) and then take a little rest then man comes back from friends' place, eat and ask if his sunday clothes has been ironed etc.......(when they don't have a maid) (please don't tell me it doesn't happen like that)
It won't have been a bad idea if the work load is shared in whatever manner in no particular order. i.e woman is cleaning the house while man is sorting the dirty clothes woman is washing the clothes while man is spreading them to dry woman goes to the market while man goes to barb his hair woman cooks everything to be cooked while man is minding the baby/kid(s) woman goes to make her hair while man can arrange for clothes to be ironed By the time they are finished, none of them will be tired and spent out. They are both on the same level and when they retire for the day, they have good time with each other.......
Even if they have a maid, he/she shouldn't be overburdened. All hands must be on deck.
What am i even saying?? Everyone to his/her family set-up.... Do what makes you feel good with yourself. i agree with you.. but should it be a must for the husband? i mean i get it, men differ in their character towards things and their perceptions.... i feel its unfair to let your woman handle all the house chores when you can actually help her.. but for the ones with a different perspective, are they to be forced?? |

Dopefiend: First off, you have to differentiate a private school and a Christian private school.
The students signed the undertaken themselves, the school didn't coerce them. Tho you can't hear of such things in lead city or igbenedion
Lol. Why you hating on success? Poor man. Just say you don't have money.
On the contrary, private sch give more exposure than the public schools. What exposures are there in the public sch? Cultist exposure? Aristo exposure? You are sick. You get to meet better people in private schs than public schs
So to you, having fun is now only through dating, clubbing and partying? Which private sch uses uniform? Calculate the % of meeting rich folks in the public sch to the private sch, and slap urself
Hard work? Lol, with all the partying and clubbing? Blocking comes to the rescue for most of these folks. Go to bishop's sch and say you want to 'think' of bribing a lecturer lol. Na that day them go judge ur matter
Lol so because you graduated at 30, u feel Ure mature? Lol grow up. Maturity is of the mind. A 22 year old that just graduated from a private uni can be more mature than a 28 or 29 year old public graduate. Don't generalise because they turn you guys to grand daddies before they let you go.
Stop hating bruv. It ain't good for the mind, body and soul. blow mi mind!! ex igbinedion student?? #imReppn#IUO |

butanep: Op you are very correct. Private university is like advanced secondary school. Most of them always wish, they attend a public university because of the monotonous life they live there. Schools where lecturers beg students to learn and where they monitor you if you are still reading or have slept. Private university life is so boring i must confess because some secondary schools are even more social and fun-filled than them. for me it is for those that were not opportune to gain admission in public... whatt ever been in one?? hearsay!! i'm not surprised... |

dryakson: Many Nigerian students these days often move quickly to queue for private universities when making a choice of institution.
I agree that private universities have advantages like the absence of strike, easy access to lecturers… Well, that’s about all.
Public universities, federal and state, have a lot of advantages, from cheaper school fees, to the freedom to be an adult. Public universities expose you to the real world, introduces you to the hustle of life unlike private universities that consist of a lot of brats who are literally spoon-fed.
They are so pampered, making difficult to face the real world when they become graduates. So here’s my case for choosing a public university.
1. Public universities allow for freedom and independence:
Students in public universities enjoy the freedom to make decisions for themselves and learn to be almost independent. Private universities keep students within the four walls of their campuses and under certain rules more suited for teenagers than young adults. The laws in public universities are not imposed on the students; they are just the basic principles a normal student is meant to follow. It’s funny when I see pictures of private university students being punished or hear of certain rules like compulsory attendance of chapel, feeding time tables, dress codes, e.t.c. It is absurd; these are adults!
2. Cost of education:
It is a lot cheaper to attend public university than a private one and this is not limited to school fees. Cost of living on public universities is also cheaper. Students cook their own meals and hav e access to shops on campus and in town where prices of goods and services are competitive. On the other hand, the cost of living on a private university secluded campus for one semester is enough to build a house.
3. Public university gives “exposure” to students:
It’s more than obvious that public university students are ”sharper” than private university students. Private university students who are often referred to as “JJC” or “Learners” by public university students, live what I term “the microwave life” which is the easy life. In federal universities you get to meet all sorts: from cultists to Aristo chicks, people with different personalities. It makes one exposed to what life really is. One is exposed to the hustle and learns how to struggle for things. There are still brats in federal universities but most of them get to grow up when exposed to the hustle.
4. Life on and off campus is FUN:
There are so many parties to attend, clubs and events. One gets to meet real people, one also learns to be real. There is a lot of gist and gossip, lot of things to laugh at. Rather than chapel, it’s clubbing. Dating is even fun in federal schools. Couples express love without fear as adults. One gets to see students that are rich and poor mingling as equals; students who express themselves through their dressing and not relegated to some uniform.
5. Hard work is compulsory
Students in public universities have worked through exceptional odds to succeed; challenges that help one not take life for granted. Imagine a department of over a thousand students with a very small lecture hall or a lecturer who spends only twenty minutes in a class where he is meant to spend two hours, or one who only gives handouts. Faced with issues like these, students work extra hard to come out with well-deserved results.
6. Public universities produce more mature graduates:
With all the challenges: strikes, nonchalant lecturers, freedom to express yourself as adult etc, public universities are more equipped for life after graduation. They know that things would not just be handed to them and are used to making decisions for themselves.
https://m.premiumtimesng.com/arts-entertainment/167863-6-reasons-%e2%80%8byou-shouldnt-attend-a-private-university.html very funny!! i saw the topic and i was soooo eager to open it.. are these the so-called reasons? clearly you've not been anywhere.. no offense tho.. your post is wacky... the only agreeable ground is cost.. you see the rest?? public school have less to offer! mature graduates?? really hard work is compulsory?? talk about freedom and exposure.. have you been to igbinedion university?? and i hope you know fun is dependent individual choices.. believe me you only mentioned the reasons you should go to a private school!! |

Mondisweets: how old are u on a serious note though?
I simply stated the fact that you dont have to wait to help someone simply because she is too tired or she is unable to do something. Its your house and if u contributed to the mess it only requires common sense that to u help even she is not too tired or unable to do something. The same way a woman doesnt have to wait for bills to choke her husband before she decides to pitch in and make things easier for the both of them honestly, i think there' s a huge misunderstanding here... the reason i quoted that initial comment was because you went too far and if you ask me i'd say we're saying pretty much the same thing... i am basically saying its not what applies in most families.. besides the post included my stand on the issue.. matter of fact, i see it as stupidity and unfairness to think because you pay the bills, you have the ground not to help or that helping is irrelevant because you play your role as a husband! get it And btw, i have no idea as to why my age is in question.. mind telling me? mondi? |
