Am mainly behind 3dnigeria and About 3dnigeria.com, the project isn't dead, but i have to admit that it got a little bigger than i could handle. What i want to ask if it was helping anyone at all, so that ill know whether to put in d effort to resurrect it. Also i wasn't getting enough contributions from the other "pros" in the house for tutorials and so on. also it would require creationof a proper php/asp based site and that i cannot handle right now. Ill be pleased if i can get help from graphic gurus as well as web programmers. also anyone with ideas on how to market the site and generate monetary gain is highly welcome. I have been working on video tutorials but their upload time is hell.any suggestions? i have since delved into motion grahiks and intend to expand the scope of the site including tutorials but am going to need help. Hit me at damseremie@yahoo.com |

its not about qualifications since we dont really have any reputable intitutions offering computer aided design courses here in Nigeria. earn as much as u can UNOFFICIALLY. Also it wouldnt hurt to visit www.3dnigeria.com. . Its a graphics design site focusing on 3d dimensional art. |
Falciparum:Nice first of all read the advice posted by graphikdon about choosing 3d software. For 3d work, Your system needs to be up to spec. For Desktops a resonably high-rated P4 or and AMD Athlon. For laptops a good Centrino Duo or an AMD Turion 64 should serve. Again RAM And the power of your Graphics card are essential. Also you may want to register at www.3dnigeria.com and visit the forumthere youll find lots of people willing to help |
Thanks for all your comments. Right now we need help. If you can create tutorials, help in the website maintenance or design; contribuite content or even just register at the site as a member . Please do.Remember www.3dnigeria.com |
tEsLim:Thanks for your offer and the header you posted in great. I woulds really appreciate it if you could complete the template so that the site can come up to a certain " standard". Thanks again. The site's supposed to be updated this month but it may have to be pushed back if you are able to create a template that can be used. |
I think grafikdon and zpixel have covered it all. First work on 3d stills, if u already done some of that then follow graphikdons steps, Plan(1st)-----Storyboards(next)-------------before u even sit down with your software. If u have specific 3ds max issues along the way then u can ask. Ill help as much as i can(as little as i know) |
To Gamine: Am really impressed. it may should machoist but Graphics is a male dominated world, its refreshing to see a talented female around. While this praise is real and heartfelt i have an ulterior motive . I would like to invite you to visit and register (in the forum) at www.3dnigeria.com. Its a site dedicated to computer graphics(both 2d and 3d). Best of all you can post your best work to be displayed on the site. For now the 2d graphic section of the site is still bare and talents like u are needed to fill it up( of cousre all work must be computer generated--Photoshop,coreldraw, etc. We would also like tutorials written by members To Tyrex and all others: You are all invited to join and register at www.3dnigeria.com. Its a chance to learn develop and grow> If you have already visited, please visit again and register. |
To Neoteny: True words : with the internet and free access to a lot of help and tutorials,,, i would readily advise anyone to lern 3ds max. Too bad my inverse kinematics is not too good either. But you seem to know your stuff, so ill like to invite you to visit www.3dnigeria.com and register. We really need members of your calibre to contribuite and improve the 3d community in Nigeria. Thanks |
Unfortunately none of the software you mentioned can really handle fly-around animations. U can get ArchiCad and Autocad anywhere but Microstation and the others may be a bit difficult to find if u are not in lagos. For your fly-around i would advise you to get 3D Studio Max which will allow u import your AutoCad or Architectural desktop file, then u canrender and animate. If however u have an urgent job such that u cant afford to learn the software now, u can let me know and u can outsource the job. In the meantime visit www.3dnigeria.com and be inspired by what other nigerian architects are doing with various software (especially 3ds max) |
I would like to thank all those who have visited and registered with www.3dnigeria.com I would also specifically thank the fellow who let me know of 2 links that where not working (they have been corrected now). The first small 3d nigeria competition will begin this month and only registered members will be allowed to participate. So visit and register now Thanks www.3dnigeria.com |
Thereswere some complaints that the "Creating a Cup" video tutorial were not working, so i have reuploaded it; Visit www.3dnigeria.com now. And register at the forum. www.3dnigeria.com |
