RomanceRe: I'm About To Lose My Fiancee, Please Help by dancewith: 3:00pm On Jun 15, 2019
First you were wrong for the behaviour. Cheating isnt only when you sleep with someone else. Chats and some romantic messages with someone else also means cheating on your spouse

Two, you have tried the best you could. With time she would get the message and the several good part of you would overwhelm her consideration of this bad part. I do hope she reasons and understands this. The grass is never greener at the other side. The new man she would end up with, is he any different? Smart women would get to understand this aspect if you actually have been good in many other areas

Finally I do not get it when people go through their spouses phone. What exactly are they looking for? People that keep doing this are highly insecure, dangerous and quarrel some. You have it coming when you do this and sooner or later you would find something that scatters your relationship

As for you, time is your best friend

Good luck

FamilyRe: My Husband Is Torturing Me Emotionally by dancewith:
This story is the reason why we should not believe one side of a story until both are presented

First, she was very unserious to very serious suitors when she had her youths and opportunities

Two, she boldly declared she wouldn't have married her husband if not for her age and fibroid history

Three, she is mad her husband wouldn't warm food by himself early in the morning

She can publicly call her husband names like animal, lunatic, idiot, useless etc.

In the event the husband slapped her, which she is strongly holding on to, she admitted an exchange of words between them. No one knows the manner of her talk back and if she has a sharp tongues with which she lashed at the man and added insults and abuses

I can reasonable assume you are a very abusive wife who has so much feeling of entitlement. From the word go you assumed this man is not worthwhile and not up to your usual standards, but you accepted because you couldn't do better at that point. This has likely shown in your attitude towards him. I strongly suspect you have attitude issues and feels everyone is wrong except you

I have never understood why a woman or man would secretly go through their spouse's phone records. This is a crime. You would end up angering the person involved and bringing toxicity in the relationship. And with someone like you, I can only imagine the abusive manner you handled this leading to more toxicity in the union and alienating the man further

You decided to marry him and felt you did him a favour. You probably expected him to worship you and you probably asserts way too much authority on this marriage than you should. Few men would tolerate this. And when they show this intolerance to your attitude and behaviour, you term it abuse

You are the problem here actually and it's so glaring. It's a wonder few are seeing this. Work on your attitude, your abusive manner, your character, your high headedness and overt feeling of entitlement. You do not understand what marriage and responsibilities mean and when you do have kids, your attitude would only get worse for him.

Research has shown that over 50% of women that marry late in Nigeria (from 35yrs and above) are mostly as a result of not having had suitors, but either they felt they could get better suitors and hence rejected good suitors or were themselves rejected by those previous suitors who saw them as not being wife materials . Its highly possible the rushed marriage prevented this man from seeing your bad characters not the other way round

Good luck

I tend to be displeased when this lady come around

First off, she isnt a victim. She fornicated with a pastor as an adult. She was a masters student in the UK and was sponsored by pastor Abiodun.

There is nothing free even in Freetown and she must have known. When the pastor invited her to his penthouse in the UK she went there with her eyes and legs wide open and she was not raped

She only started crying foul when she realised the pastor had moved on from her and has others of her kind he is now on to

She knew exactly what she was doing and she should never have formed victim even in 2013

As for the pastor, the days day of reckoning is fast approaching

This is not part of what this kid bargained for. She just wanted to enjoy his money and flaunt his wealth, this whole marriage and ritual thing wasn't in her plan. But she didn't know that as far as the man's age is from hers, so is his wisdom greater than hers.

But on a serious note, what level of greed will push this kid with a bright future into this foolishness? What on earth made her think she won't get a young guy of her age bracket who will get to be as rich as this man later in life? Even on her own, she started well and has a promising and bright career ahead capable of even toppling the likes of Genevive Nnaji before 30. She was on her way to becoming a Hollywood A lister. There was nothing this man could give her she couldn't get for herself in a few years from now. I guess it's the outcome of bad parenting by the mum whose lifestyle is more disgusting than the daughter's.

For those asking if she did any wrong, infact she did

Several people are left wondering why they are not as successful. They would start seeing their husbands and spouses as not doing enough to make them grow. For those not in relationships, they would see themselves as failures.

The real owners would get a lot of negative attention from people would wonder if he is even the owner. There would be people that would potentially doubt if he is actually the owner when someone is claiming ownership of your property

Do you know that there is a law that if someone is claiming to own your car and you did nothing to dissuade that assumption you would be eventually stopped from claiming that person is not the real owner if a member of the public relies on that perception to do business with the person...in other words ahe can eventually sell your property to a third party who will rely on the fake claims to buy it and you the real owner would be held to have facilitated the scam and prevented from claiming it back

Loads of childish comments here. Some even claims she deserves better. You mean she deserves a man that would be glad a married woman clubs from 6pm till dawn without him?

Who would allow his wife do that. Have you ever seen your mum do that to your dad and everyone is cool with it? I have always said it that if a woman sleeps out without the husbands permission it is adultry on the surface of it.have you ever heard of a missed drug test being treated as a failed drug test in sports?

Leaving your kids with strangers to go out and party. Come on, if these are true, which of you would allow this as a husband. Clearly some people are not ready for marriage and family life and yet get entangled in it for whatever reasons.

The blame must also be shared by him for not spotting all these tendencies during the courtship period

This is a good idea and it serves as a strong deterrent to would be kidnappers and other criminal elements who would think they can make money through criminal acts and enjoy it. I would propose a more far reaching and punitive measure. If a kidnapper or armed robber is caught, his house and everyone else in that compound should be put down

This would ensure all those to be affected by the criminal conducts of their relatives would even be the one to report him to the authorities knowing the implications on themselves if they dont

Anambra used a similar effort and before Peter obi left office onitsha and most part of Anambra state were rid of these evil elements

Draconian acts is what we understand in Nigeria

This also helps in fostering sexual behaviour that protects others and control the scourge.

TravelUs To Impose More Visa Restrictions On Some African Countries by dancewith(op): 3:40am On Apr 19, 2019
FACING PENALTIES

Trump’s latest immigration plan targets African countries whose citizens overstay visas

By Yomi Kazeem April 16, 2019

The Trump administration is considering a new immigration measure to impose visa restrictions on countries whose citizens have a track record of overstaying beyond the validity of their short-term US visas, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports.

As part of the proposed measure being discussed by senior White House officials, visas could become harder to get for applicants from countries with high rates of overstaying visas and, when issued, the visa validity periods could also become shorter. In the long-term, such countries could also face outright bans. WSJ also reports that the White House is looking to tighten rules around student and investor visas.

As it turns out, several African countries whose nationals have high rates of overstaying their visas, including Nigeria, Chad, Eritrea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, could be on the receiving end if the measure, which will likely be legally challenged, is seen through. Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, particularly receives a vast majority of non-immigrant B1/B2 visas issued to Africans. The country accounted for over 25% of visas issued to Africans in 2018 alone.

It’s not the first time African countries have been caught in the cross-hairs of president Donald Trump’s continued clampdown on immigration. Three African countries—Sudan, Libya and Somalia—were directly implicated in Trump’s infamous “Muslim ban,” issued by an executive order within weeks of his inauguration. Another less discussed part of the executive order on immigration also pushed for the US State department to become stricter on reciprocity for visa fees, processing and validity period.

Under the Trump administration, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Eritrea and most recently Ghana have also been issued visa restrictions (ranging from tourist, business, exchange and student visas for government officials and their families) for failing to or delaying accepting their nationals ordered removed from the United States.

Data also shows that while removals of undocumented migrants fell in 2017 under the Trump administration, the removal of people from African countries and Haiti rose. For the top 10 African countries on US Immigration’s list, removals jumped by 140% to 1815 people removed in 2017, from 756 in 2016.

In a rare bright spot, last month, Trump extended the deadline of the Deferred Enforced Departure program for 4,000 Liberians living in the US by a year until Mar. 30, 2020.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian By Birth: A Dissection Of Atiku's Citizenship by dancewith: 3:15pm On Apr 15, 2019
Levant:
I am neither APC nor PDP. Let me give by own opinion as a neutral observer.

I think Atiku has lost this. Not because he is not a Nigerian, but because there is a loophole in the constitution that cannot allow him to be regarded as a Nigerian by birth. The constitution is silent about the fate of those born before independence in a town like Jada, that only became a part of Nigeria after a plebiscite, in which the people chose to be part of Nigeria and not part of Cameroon.

Jada was ruled by Britain. It is similar to the issue of Kashmir that is disputed territory between Pakistan and India. The difference with Kashmir is that the will of the people of British Cameroon prevailed and they joined Nigeria. The Kashmiris have not been allowed to voice whom they want to join or whether to be independent. For the mere fact that Britain had ruled that land alongside with Nigeria doesn't make it a part of Nigeria that got independence in 1960. That land was part of German ruled Cameroon which was divided after the German defeat of world war 1 between France and Britain. When Nigeria was amalgamated by the British, that piece of land was ruled by Germany. Assuming today Ghanaians say they want to be part of Nigeria for the mere fact that they speak English and were British ruled, there would be need for the constitution to specifically recognize the Ghanaians born before 2019 as "Nigerians by birth" after joining Nigeria in 2019. If the constitution is silent on their fate, and the constitution states that for someone to become president he must be a Nigerian by birth, then Ghanaians born before 2019 cannot claim to have been born in Nigeria. Only those of Ghanaian descent born after 2019 would be considered as Nigerians by birth because Ghana ceased to be Ghana and became Nigeria only in 2019.

Assuming the constitution had stipulated that those born in a land that later joined Nigeria can also be considered Nigerians by birth, then the issue would be resolved easily. But the constitution is silent. And since Atiku was born in a land before independence that was not a part of Nigeria, then Atiku is not a Nigerian by birth but by naturalisation, more or less. Those born in Jada after independence and after the plebiscite of 1961 can thus be regarded as Nigerian citizens by birth, but not someone like Atiku who was born there before the plebiscite. Assuming, the constitution would have made mention specifically about the fate of such persons as Atiku and granted them right to be considered as citizens by birth, then it won't have been an issue. Laws are only formulated when there is need or through an event or incident. It doesn't mean Atiku is not a Nigerian and it doesn't mean Atiku is a Cameroonian because that land ceased to be a part of Cameroon after world war 1 and the defeat of the Germans. What became Cameroon was divided between France and Britain. and that land wasnt Cameroon after British rule. So Atiku is Nigerian but not by birth. And he is not to be considered Cameroonian either. It only means that since the Nigerian constitution is silent on the specific, Atiku is not eligible to become Nigeria's President. The president must be Nigerian by birth.

Whoever thought of this and decided to pick it up is a genius. And Atiku will lose it. It is just on the fact that he is not eligible to be Nigeria's president even though he is Nigerian but not by birth.
Your argument would have been valid if the constitution didn't state indigenous to Nigeria. It means upon the plesbicite those communities became indigenous to Nigeria and treated as if they had always been Nigerians.

The constitution made that much clear. On the extent of non clarity in this, the court are usually required to toe the line of common sense and justice.

How would you treat those communities? They are not Nigerian by naturalisation either as the constitution spelt out steps to become naturalized. Neither re they citizens by registration

Let's stop confusing issues where non exists

But by the plesbicite those communities became indigenous to Nigeria and hence he was born in Nigeria as were his parents and grandparents

Pushing it a little further, the area in question were never part of Cameroon but Bitish Camaroon and were never part of Cameroon at any time in history

So sad for your brother which may actually turn out to be you. The fact they spent last summer in the US means it is likely not to be something to do with what was said during the Visa interview

It is also not to do with you trying to relocate as some insinuated since you had already gone before and returned

It must have everything to do with your previous trip. The Visa was already cancelled and the US consulate are notorious for not informing Visa holders that their valid unexpired visas have been cancelled. Most, like you, find out when you attempt to use it

You need to go to the consulate and find out what went wrong but my guess is that you already must have a clue

Self testing has been around for almost a decade. There are several self test kits with even a locally made Dr Greg, available in most pharmacies in Nigeria

The procedure is simple and results are available in less than 5 minutes. What is not available is the awareness. FG should work on this

The reason for testing is many. Positive people would know and commence early treatment which would lead to a normal long life. If diagnosed late the immune system is almost always depleted and life expectancy is low, even with treatment

Plus the partners study came up with U = U meaning that when on treatment the virus cannot be transmitted, even if the positive person intends to

HealthRe: I'm Suspecting My Girlfriend Has Given Me HIV by dancewith: 4:56am On Apr 09, 2019
casperuk:
There are many factors that determines HIV transmission.i.e The Viral load of the host, if you were up or down. (whoever is down has more risk of contacting it) Did you do anal (high risk). There is a 1:2500 chance to contact hiv for men circumcised, and 1:2000 chance for females. The chances greatly reduces for anal to 1:75 chance.(1:75 is times of penetration.) so 1 round of sex with an hiv infected woman lasting 10 minutes may not be more than 500x you pumped in and out. So this is why you can have sex with an HIV infected person and not contact it.
Also there is a drug that you can take before having sex with someone who has HIV and you wont be infected (PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis)) (taken at least 2 hours before match then daily, with a further 3 days after the last rump).
Also if you had unprotected sex with someone within 72 hours of contact, and the person is a high risk individual, or you know they have HIV with a high viral load, you can also take PEP for 28 days and It prevents HIV 90%.
But If it is prescribed in Nigeria or readily available I don't know.
Go do a blood test!
Yes we have PrEP and PEP readily available in Nigeria at most general hospitals and pharmacy. Careforthe pharmacy stocks them also in case you do not have the time to go through the patience of visiting a general hospital

With PEP time is of the essence. The sooner you initiate the regime the better. Anything outside 36hrs after exposure is mostly unlikely to work but incredibly effective when initiated within 36hrs after exposure
HealthRe: I'm Suspecting My Girlfriend Has Given Me HIV by dancewith: 9:04pm On Apr 08, 2019
The symptoms you describe are accurate for acute retroviral syndrome (ARS). This is more so as your girlfriend had similar symptoms earlier

This is one reason sexually active youths need to be aware of PEP and PrEP. It is equally important that if people cannot be morally upright as regards premarital sex, they should at least use protection for the sake of HIV prevention and transmission control

I would advise out youths to learn more about PEP and PrEP and the importance of regular testing

My advise: Get tested and start early treatment if positive. Studies have shown that early detection and treatment preserve the immune system from depletion which is the sole agent for reduction of life span when infection is detected late
