Religion / (opinion)apostle Paul Was A Religious Tyrant And A Sexist by Dandy1(m): 1:41pm On Oct 26, 2014 |
Religion has always been an exploitative tooI since time immemorial.Religious leaders utilize the gullibility of their sheepish followers to control their lives and rip them of their earnings in some cases.I think apostle Paul was one of such people.A tyrant religious leader who often over-used his authority by forcing his personal opinions down the throat of his followers, since they held him in high esteem. In reference to his saying in 1 Corinthians chapter 11 v 1 to 12. : 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.11:4 Every man praying or personalities, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.11:8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.11:9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.11:11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.11:12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. Now if you go through this idea of his,he sounded like a pure sexist to me. I know most people of that era believed women should be totally submissive, but he was making sure it was more pronounced by painting men as far more superior beings to women with his chain of comparison. So he made a rule that they are not worthy to do what men do. As if God sent him to deliver such rule. As expected, the people took heed. Even up till present world. In his face though, only if he could come and experience the 21st century. Women are now world leaders and women even fvck men from the top now. Lol. It's time people started using their God given brain rather than doing what a fellow human like them says they should because they have more access to God than they do. Just my thoughts. 1 Like 1 Share |
Business / Re: My Bitter Experience Shopping On Ebay!!! by Dandy1(m): 8:55pm On Oct 02, 2014 |
I just got an alert just a while ago. My money has finally been refunded. like the OP's case, Access bank decided to cut their pound of flesh. They deducted (stole) five thousand naira from my money. I wonder what that is for. I will be at the bank tomorrow to know. Anyways, I'm happy to have the money back. I'd be trying out my luck with Amazon. I'm done with eBay. |

So yesterday made it a week I paid for the said item that led to my eBay ban. Wednesday will make it a week that I've been banned. I contacted the seller through their email sent to me by PayPal on Friday. One of their customer care agents('cos the seller is actually an electronic retail firm which even have their separate online store/website) He said he'd initiate a refund the next day when he gets to work. Later saturday evening I contacted him,and he said he saw he couldn't initiate the refund from eBay as I was banned. I confessed I was truly banned, stating I guess their cancellation of the deal must have triggered the ban because the email notification of both cancellation and ban entered my inbox simultaneously. On Sunday evening I forwarded to him a message a PayPal agent sent me explaining how the seller could issue a refund from their PayPal dashboard and how I could file for a claim if he doesn't. To cut the long story short. He finally refunded the money on Monday. Now my PayPal status on the deal reflects "refunded",though it's yet to reflect in my bank account. This is my own ordeal. My decision is,eBay can keep their effing account,I don't care. I'd keep my PayPal account only for applications upgrade and premium features acquiring. Bottom line: Always deal with a reputable seller whenever shopping online. I think that's what saved my as$. What pained me most is almost 4thousand naira credit I wasted calling eBay trying to restore my account. 1 Like |

So I actually shopped on eBay. My first two transactions went fine, until my third on Monday 22sept. The seller actually said on his listing he would be shipping to my destination through USPS. After paying him,he told me USPS said they couldn't ship to my destination for whatever reasons. I told him I've had them ship to my destination two weeks before then. So on Wed. 24Sept. We both agreed to cancel the deal. Almost immediately after that,my eBay account got suspended UNLIMITEDLY. I was shocked by the word unlimited . I called eBay,they told me that's the final decision, that the ban can never be lifted. Now my money(app. 620 dollars) is stuck. However,on mailing PayPal,they sent me the sellers number and e-mail to tell him to issue refund from his PayPal account. The seller promised to do that soon enough. I'm yet to get a feedback from him. This is my own story. Does anyone here have any idea how I could still appeal to get my eBay account back? |

legalwealth: Okay,so I decided to "buy it now" 1a.m last night. After pressing the confirm payment button, I got 'your account has been limited' info in my PayPal. Stating I have to help confirm my identity. Below were the requirements to confirm. In which I've done all,but 2 are still pending.

My favourite is Alistair Mcleans.Very brilliant writer.I read about 7-8 of his novels. Also lots of James Hardley Chase,John grisham, the pacesetters series when I was in secondary school, and innumerable several other authors whose names I can never recollect.I wish I could revive my reading habit.Internet took it from me |
Phones / Re: Microsoft To Buy Nokia Phone Unit by Dandy1(m): 2:53pm On Sep 03, 2013 |
I used to be a hardcore Nokia fanboy. I rocked their symbian days to the fullest. But then Android showed up and was miles ahead of symbian.Nokia, seeing that the symbian platform couldn't possibly offer a competition with Android, had to go for Windows Phone 8 platform. Our hopes rose as Nokia die-hard loyalists.I thought the marriage should give birth to something positive and popular.Since Microsoft's windows OS is d most widely used OS on PCs around the world. Moreover, the union seemed capable of finally giving Google's android a stiff competition. But Android kept waxing stronger due to the flexibility and accessibility of the OS(core root access to crazy modders and flashers). So when it became obvious WP8 won't be as much fun as Android is,like every other "techy" person,I had no choice than than to join the moving train by getting me a cool Sammy phone.Go figure:most symbian "gurus"-people that love tweaking and messing around with their phones(not those basic users that just call, text,or chat)are now rocking with Android because there's so much fun on it.Much more than in the symbian hey days. To me, I think this is a good development. 'Cos now, just like "Apple",now that Microsoft own the brandname-NOKIA,they can take it to the next level. To we fans nothing would have changed but for the management. If they are gonna be keeping most of the workforce, which I'm sure they will, then we will still have the NOKIA hardwares with innovative designs and rugged build. This deal can only make things better. Kizyte: I used to be a Nokia fan, but thank God for saving me from Nokia bondage. Most contributors on this thread reek of ignorance. Someone earlier said instead of producing Android based phones,Nokia is producing Asha. FYI, Nokia high end phones now run on the windows phone 8 OS/platform.The Asha line of products are mostly made for the budget restrained/developing economies in Africa. Most of which are ignoramus who know less about phone tech. 1 Like |
