Kizyte: @Exxell & Gombs, thank you for your wonderful comments! Bros! With all these your grammar show-off,you still come f.u.ck up with your ''and 'am' certain''. You no dey hear say make u no dey write ''am'' alone without the subject ''I'' abi? If u want abbreviate am,simply write ''I'm''. So you go fit feature for the sentence as d doer. D tin dey highly vexatious from my Naija pple. 1 Like |
Education / Re: Good English: A Sign Of Education & Intelligence? by Dandy1(m): 11:59pm On Apr 07, 2013 |
vislabraye: Speaking English is entirely different from being smart. Whatever skills/smartness/talent one has, being a good communicator in English would help. You are wrong! D.O Fagunwa never wrote in English. He is one of the best writers that ever lived. |

Virgin Finder: This is just about the same point I was about to make.People are getting things mixed up here. There's a difference between merely speaking wuruwuru English just for communication purpose, having a good diction, and finally;really understanding English ''grammar''. The grammatical aspect can really determine how intelligent one is.Yes! I just said that.English grammar is a really complex body of knowledge: Spellings(vocabularies),tenses, pluralisation, punctuations, parts of speeches and derivatives, e.t.c. It takes a really bright mind to truly know all these.Even most of these sad people forming 'Ajebo' all over the place, thinking they've been speaking English from birth don't have the grammatical knowledge.I encounter them often. They may sound good with the diction, but they are often totally lacking in grammar. Like @Virgin Finder stated above. There's a difference between the expressions- ''he wanted to finish all the food,so I made sure I 'remained' some for you'' and ''he was bent on eating the food all up,I had to put some aside for you''. Hope y'all get the drill. 1 Like |

Religion / Re: Sleep Paralysis or Being 'Pressed' At Night - Natural or Supernatural? by Dandy1(m): 8:48am On Apr 04, 2013 |
Azubreezy: It angers me, the way white people think they have a scientific explanation to everything that happens. Dear friends, sleep paralysis is a white man's way of saying 'pressing'. I experience it most times and I have a viable remedy for it. It works for me. You are not obliged to believe this but if you find yourself in this situation, b4 u go to bed, put a broom across the entrance of your apartment and another one at the entrance of your room. Also put a bible and a knife or any of both under your pillow. If you are alone in d room, you can sleep naked if you wish or if u are comfy doing so. They won't press you no more. Trust me, it works. It's been working for me since I was 8.Your way of reasoning amazes me.You are so far gone beyond remedy. Without western enlightenment, this would av been how most Africans would still be reasoning.Imagine if the whole world still think like this? We would still be in d stone age.SMH for we Africans and our level of ignorance. |

Daraplato: I know the reason why. Since last year december, some guys have cracked a code to get unlimited MB on Airtel which would work on any mobile platform i.e Android, java and blackberry. Some succubus even buy new airtel sims to use this code. It's not Airtel's fault, it is the amount of people who use their servers. Thanks. If u need a reason, that is it right there. Some stoopid boys av even been going around displaying/advertising it,selling it for money.Like dat sad nicca dat earlier posted a screenshot of his data balance.Nigerians can't do things codedly. They will run airtel down if they don't do smtn quickly.SMH |

futureniyi: Good interview, what's DAW pls? DAW simply means digital audio work-station.These are softwares used in synthesizing musical beats/sounds.i.e beatmaking applications. Examples are Image line's 'fruity loops',Sony's 'acid pro',propeller head's 'reason',cubase, protools, e.t.c. U don't necessarily av to know how to play musical instruments per se b4 u could handle these applications. However, having d basic knowledge of the solfa notes will help make using them easier. Just playing around with it can inspire u to decide if u can be a proffesional or not.If u can do it,u'll know u've gat it in u 1 Like |

Nairaland / General / How Annoying Is Queue-jumping To You? by Dandy1(m): 11:59am On Feb 05, 2013 |
Okay! Call me a holy monk or whatever, but something I can't remember ever doing in my life is jumping a queue. Whenever I reach anywhere I'm required to wait in line for my turn,I do just that. That's how patient I am,''no worry/hurry for my life''.Even if at the end of d day I still can't get the thing done and would have to come back the next day,it doesn't matter. At times I used to wish people can just do things rightly maybe the world would be a better place, but it seems many people haven't gotten patience like me. Now to the main issue.Yes! I could wait in line forever till it's my turn, but one thing I can never tolerate is for a yam-head from nowhere trying to manouvre, squeeze,or plead his way into my front.I CAN'T ever take that.NEVER!.For all I care, you can go meet the guy or people in front of me,if they let you in-your luck.Stupid huhnn? I don't care, but as for staying right in my front? It can never happen. I've experienced this a lot of times in the past.Though I could say of myself I'm a simple fairly nice guy,but I could be so not nice in this particular situation.I see it as blatant cheating, and I hate cheating.I'd rather you kill me than cheat me and get away with it. The question now is: have you ever found yourself in such situation before? How angry did it get you? Share your experience.Cheers! |

masonkz: WTF Even gay guys wouldn't like this on a guy. I don't think he is actually gay.I think he is a transgender.People with transgender issues are always jealous of opposite sex. They wish they could be,dress and act like them. They might not engage in any actual ''gayish'' act.But their joy will be for the opposite sex to see them as one of them. |

Romance / Re: Importance Of Body Beauty In Choosing A Partner by Dandy1(m): 3:45pm On Jan 12, 2013 |
addictiv: That's why men re visual nd women emotional......guys usually pick their sexual fantasies even if she has a bad character or can't cook......while the ladies would pick a loving caring person regardless of how they look.Your conclusion about men being ''visual'' is wrong.'Cos as against what you were insinuating, men will not go for a physically endowed girl at the expense of one who can cook and has a good character(providing she's not effing ugly).Likewise,a lady won't go for a ugly but caring guy.Unless money is the factor that is actually attracting such a girl.Overall,I think striking a balance is all that matters |

Women badt gann ni ooo. Especially those lying types. They'll lie between their teeth, use all sorts of ''swear words'' on themselves come take cry-cry cement am.Only for you to validate later that it was all a lie. About emotional movies;the only film that gave me a near tear experience was ''John Q'' by Denzel Washington.Nice flick I must say. |
