NVC are not the ones in charge of your case now, it’s the US embassy in Nigeria. I think the process of scheduling interviews have changed, previously you see a calendar of available dates and you can pick from, but now they help with the scheduling by sending you a mail when there are available dates. So you need to be patient and look out for the mail. steeltrust: please do you have their direct mail which I reach them I’ll be greatful |

What part of Europe are you? Europe is not a country, every country have different methods of processing k1 visa, know the process for the country you are staying and follow accordingly. All the best aji01: Hello everyone, Please, I have a question. My CEAC status is showing READY. In as much, I have seen in a previous post that when it shows ready, I can fill out the DS160 form, book an interview appointment, do the medicals, and pay the fee, but in my case, I am applying from Europe. Can I still go ahead as I am not applying from Nigeria? Also, I read somewhere that some embassies usually request that some documents be sent to them before the interview in a letter that will be sent to the beneficiary; why some other embassies don't request this. So, I don't know if I should go ahead and submit the DS 160 form and schedule medicals and interview appointments. Please, all the pieces of advice will be appreciated. |

DankbaresHerz: Hello house, Finally My application have been reviewed recently after been paused for more than a year now. I have been asked to proceed with the next step which is medical. Quick question: do I have to complete the immunization vaccination now or I can take some and complete the rest when I arrive at the US? @sharpman1, @ legitBachelor ,
Ps. I’m not applying from Nigeria so the process might be different but I believe the stages are the same. Thank you and look forward to help I’m here to share the developing stories that went after posting the above quote just to encourage other Following this thread. About 1hr after my visa have been approved, I got a call from the embassy to come back that there have been an issue, luckily I was still within the city as I haven’t left for my city. So, it happens that my already approved visa have been refused because of my student visa application I did back in Nigeria few years back that was refused. It happened that I was banned on misrepresentations they found on my application. To move forward, the chief consular said I am qualified for a waiver and should apply for form I-601 July 2021 - form I- 601 applied and received by USCIS March 2022 - got ref April 2022 - ref evidences sent May 2022 - Form I-601 approved. This time it doesn’t go through NVC like the initial application but everything is done afresh; medicals and interview August 2022 - embassy received official approval after several emails. September 2, 2022- 2nd interview approved September 19, 2022- received passport with visa October 4, 2022- enter the US. Total duration for all applications- April 2019 - October 2022. And still continuing as the journey continues This forum have been so helpful in getting help and informations. Like I said in the beginning; this is to encourage someone that it will surely come through, it just requires patience. Good luck to all awaiting approval. Cheers Quick question: who knows how long it takes for I-94 form to be available online?, mine is showing not found after 2 weeks of entering the US! |

Congratulations, she will receive by mail. The nxt phase is NVC. You have to give time for USCIS to send your application to NVC, then you can call them for your case number. You can start filling your DS160 form but don’t submit yet until you are sure everything is ok. All the best PattiLoveman: Hello guys, I have been following this thread since July last year and I want to thank everyone for their comments and contributions here. I must confess y’all are amazing!!!! my fiancé filed for k1 petition July 2021, and it was just approved 8 September 2022. What a long wait!!! But I expected it because I have been following this thread. And I understand it’s got a lot to do with being patient and staying focus. @Legitbachelor, @Airboy333 and you all have been a great team. My fiancé’s USCIS account says an approval notice had been sent to her, but my fiancé said she haven’t received any approval notice yet. My question is; How would she received this approval notice? By email address or Mail? Now that the USCIS approved our petition, what should be our next immediate step? Can I start filing my DS-160 form now? Please, someone should give me a good answer. I can’t wait to start celebrating with most of you guys here. ❤️❤️ |

LegitBachelor: @DankbaresHerz
Yes you can start the Immunization process and then complete the rest in the States....if you want to. Whether you actually complete the process or not is irrelevant in your K1 process.
However you must use the recommended clinic where you will be assessed by health professionals. Things like blood pressure, urine analysis, X-ray, blood test will be done. Again, the results are irrelevant in the K1 process except if one is diagnosed with a treatable infectious disease. In that case, the disease will need to be treated before you go for the visa interview.
However, each country's medical requirement is different. The country you reside in might be more thorough in regards to the medical examination. However the underlying similarity is that you won't be denied visa based on your medicals. Thank you bro, this was very helpful. Looking forward to share my testimony soon. Amen |

LegitBachelor: I have gotten my greencard guys. I give God all the praise. It took 8 months to get my greencard. I had thought it'll take more than a year going by the history of approvals for Dallas, Texas.
The documents I submitted for greencard application were: filled i485 form, certified marriage certificate, birth certificate, NPC Attestation of Birth, NOAs received for i129F, Fiancee Visa, Data Page of International Passport, i94, Marriage Pictures, Joint Bank Account, Life Insurance, Copy of DS3025, copy of immunization card, Evidence of Residence, my wife's evidence of US citizenship, my wife's tax returns, my wife's paystubs, my wife's W2s, my wife's employment letter, etc. I didn't get any RFEs.
Got the interview notice after 7 months. The interview notice is usually given a month before the scheduled date.. and my wife went for the interview. We went with a copy of all the documents we had submitted earlier. We also went with new pictures and new tax documents. The interview was very fast. We were even called in before the time. Was asked questions on dates. Was also asked on how we met. Was a very informal interview...lots of jokes and chats. He told us he will approve our petition. I got my greencard 6 days after. Congratulations boss! |

finalex4real: GREEN CARD APPROVED.
Hello People.
I got help from this channel during my process. Hopefully someone gets help from this post too.
My Green Card petition got approved today.
Here is a summary if my timeline.
-K1 visa got approved in Lagos mid June this year
-got into US mid July
-filed for Adjustment of Status late August
-Biometrics late September
-Interview Scheduled mid November
-EAD got approved last Friday (yet to receive it)
-GC nterview held today (approved )
Interview Details:
-was scheduled for 12 noon
-we got there 11:2am
-went through security
-Got called in at 12:09
-CO separated and interviewed us individually.
-Grilled my woman for 15mins. - Took her out, called me in and grilled me for 15mins.
Here are some of the Questions:
After oath,
-He first went through the i-485 form with me to verify if anything has changed after filing, He asked me same questions as contained in the form.
Asked a bunch of questions like if I am a terrorist, here to overthrow the govt, ever involved in child trafficking, ever removed from the country etc which I answered "No" to all.
Other questions in no particular order:
-How did you meet?
-who proposed?
-Describe your reactions when you arrived in the US.
-where did you guys first drive to?
-how many bathrooms are in your apartment
-what does your wife love doing?
-what meal does she love most?
-what meal do you love most?
-How much do you guys pay for rent?
-what's your wife's phone number?
-where does she work at?
-how many Tvs are at your apartment?
-what is your address here in the US.
-what are the names of her siblings?
-Names of her Parents.
These and several other questions, some of which were follow up to answers I had provided
At some point, he Said My answers corresponds with my wife's and therefore he was not going to waste too much of our time. Called my wife in and gave us detail information about what it means to be a permanent residence, said GC is valid for 2 years after which we will file for removal of conditions. Said I can apply for citizenship after three yrs of becoming a permanent resident.
ADVICE. You re good as far as your relationship is genuine. Panic not. Be patient, try not to get into any problems during wait period. Be sure you both have same story. Know your apartment
Get all your facts straight, above all, be real, be truthful, you just might not know what your wife was asked and what her answers were. However if you both are truthful, your answers will definitely tally.
Again, Make sure your story corresponds with your wife's. You might be interviewed separately.
Finally lIke many have said on this platform, put God first. My process went 3 times faster than I expected. It's a thing of surprise to get GC within 3.5 months of filing.
You have any questions? I will be happy to help with answers.
Goodluck to you all. Congratulations |

Daslimo: hello guys,
I am a Nigerian studying in Korea and currently planning for a K1 visa with my fiance. I have read the requirements and so far, they appear feasible...however, my problem is the issue of a police certificate.
I can get one from Korea here but considering that I am a Nigerian, I could be needing one from Nigeria.
is there a way around this? must I provide the Nigerian certificate? can one get it online? can one get it for someone?
flying down to Nigeria would be a huge expense on me. any help/suggestions would be appreciated This is one very reliable method of getting the police report. The form can even be downloaded online. The link I was talking about is https://www.wikiprocedure.com/index.php/Nigeria_-_Obtain_police_clearance_certificateThere is a website called getway.ng that helps with it as well. I dont know how genuine they are But they do look genuine. If the person concerned is based abroad and will go for his or her interview abroad then its far better and cheaper to do the report online instead of spending money traveling to and fro Nigeria. But if the person's visa interview is in Nigeria, then it's better to get the police report when he or she gets back to Nigeria. It takes less than 4 hrs to get the report at Alagbon. Glorioussugar: There’s section for present work experience. But no section for previous work experience and educational background I think the ds160 form for female differs from that of male, guess that’s why your previous work experience is missing. Then for your monthly income I don’t think you should leave it blank, I believe you make sales everyday and in a month you should be able to know the average you make. So plus or minus you earn something monthly that should be your income |
