See the kind of person you all want to be taking advice from. Someone who can cut his own nose to spite your own face? grin he wants you to leave ehailing but will never tell you exactly what he left his own ehailing to be doing grin

Tinubu will reset the brains of all of you who prefer to choose ethnicity and tribalism over competency. 1 year down, 7 more to go.
Abeg help me here, wetin this one mean? I am not an OBI supporter o neither did I vote for BAT or Atiku..Infact, I have never voted for anyone in any election so far as I can remember...So if anyone says something you don't like, you quickly go to check their old post, oh I see..Is this all you can find? Do you mind I send you something to keep you busy? Funny boy.

Your constant negativity is really grating. Just because you've convinced yourself that you're unable to complete a project doesn't mean others feel the same way. Everyone has their own strengths and mindset, so don't project your limitations onto others. When making a point, keep it personal instead of making sweeping generalizations.
Nah don't reply omoapena joor..na our guy..we know him in and out..let him keep rolling.

Hahaha, for you to even mention 50m shows how shallow you are, who's saying you must have 50m before you invest in something that will give you passive income

Do you know that, the 500k, 200k you're putting together to build a house that you're not sure of finishing, you can still channel same amount into something that will be giving you money, why do you think people sell off their carcass building halfway?

Anyway, not until you have millions of naira before you can start up a side gig.
LMAO, chaii nothing wey Musa no go see for this gate..

Baba, I am in my mid 40's now, which company would wanna employ someone of my age? Companies usually prefer younger people with energy and fresh brain. The ones in my age with experience are employed based on referrals and connections.

Moreover, there are no jobs in Nigeria. The little ones left are for those with connection. I don't have any connection. So 9 to 5 is out of the way for me!
My brother, you're one great bros I respect on this forum because of your decorum...Thank you for sharing this..I am just about hitting 40.
Now we have people who are 20-25 asking passionately how dey can get into d Hussle...The other day, one was asking if he can defer his nysc to quickly make money on Uber; and another one felt if graduate are doing Uber for 5 years, maybe it's not even necessary to go to sch then!!! We have a collective responsibility to teach them right!!!

I'm not doing badly coz I don't rely on ehailing alone, pearl isn't doing badly as well cox he didn't rely on ehailing alone.

What I'm saying is, if you rely solely on this job and you're a family person, you will be stuck on the job for a very long time and you won't be able to achieve something tangible...

Building a house isn't an achievement to me, unless you have a passive income that requires no or little supervision from you, but if you don't have passive income and you rushed to use your active income to build a house, then you have made a financial blunder...

Like I said earlier, it will take the grace of God for someone who's a family man to leave ehailing once you're in, but as a single person who's focus and ambitious, you can save for a cause through ehailing and leave it behind....
Wow this is an insight!!! Like you said if you rely on this job for too long, getting out becomes difficult! I have told my friends and also gave them some little options and advice on how to 'get out', they just couldn't!
To be honest, they are not begging o, they don't even ask me for money or anything but I just don't like the fact that nothing is really happening the way I honestly wished for them...and this applies to 99% of ehailing drivers I know, those who do it solely...it seems the one percent is on this thread..
Those that are using it to go on vacation in d Bahamas!!!!!
LWKMD, apologies I just roll comot for bed no vex...

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by dapotemi:

This discussion focuses more on the individual rather than the E-hailing business. Life boils down to meticulous planning. If someone can strategically map out their path, set clear objectives, and be purposeful in their actions, they can turn a small business into a lucrative venture worth millions.

Ultimately, there are crucial skills necessary to thrive, whether you're in a 9-5 job or running an E-hailing business. This most important skill is financial literacy. Understanding how money works, making it work for you through investments, and diversifying income streams are the secrets to achieving financial freedom. Some people make the mistake of saving excessively, leaving themselves vulnerable to economic fluctuations and unfavorable policies.

Additionally, mastering networking, salesmanship(one's ability to sell anything) , emotional intelligence, and time management are vital for success. I know many corporate workers with high salaries who are still discontent, while others have used E-hailing to start other businesses and are doing very well for themselves. In fact, one of your colleague is currently on vacation outside the country as I speak.

It's not about the business; it's about the individual's mindset and skillset.

My humble opinion.
Mention ONE person that had done this successfully....not audio pls because them plenty here!
Though I agree with few of your submission and I think MOOVE is doing a little better (emphasis on LITTLE pls) in this regard but I think one thing that has worked for them is because they came in with a lot of CAPITAL, brand new cars, great expertise, fantastic partnership, insurance and add-ons etc..
When GAZZUZ washed his hand off ehaling like Pontius Pilate; I knew something was not right because he's someone I know for his prudence and frugality, tho I agree some had to do with individual like you say. Being a mechanic himself, a great burden of this biz (car repair/purchase) had been taken care of, albeit he still could not forge ahead abi you don see anyone wey abandon a profitable biz...
Like I always preached, my model of ehaling still remain the best, very early I notice that it's not a FULL TIME job and it's not designed to be, check the fundamentals!!
Last year, I can proudly say that I saved 100% percent of my salary in atleast 6 month out of 12 and I have done one out of four salary received this year, thanks to the Hussle...The best way to do ehailing is to get a job and do one or two in d morning and one or two in d evening!!! 10-15k and you're home...It is for sorting out bills and by the time salary is here, you will be looking for bills to pay and you won't SEE.. I'll continue to advocate for this model.
ADV of this model;
I observed that little little bills are dream killer, electricity, food at home, dstv, fuel, diff bills at home can be draining because they are not one off, they keep coming so I need little little money that will keep COMING to sort it out. Ehailing to the rescue.
Secondly, I understand that as salary earners, once you can SHAKE OFF your transport expenses and perhaps food at work, you'll be relieving your salary from close to 20% recurrent burden, some even up to 40%. Luckily my company takes care of airtime/data, I have not bought that for over 5 yrs or more. Ehailing to d rescue.
Thirdly, now as an individual, one and two helps u to focus on CAPITAL proj..For me, property section is my favorites here, tho I can't compete with d obodo oyinbo guys there because of their huge bargaining power(dollar), I focus on d basic and am erecting my second 🏠....This is to encourage someone here.
A very BIG advantage is that I am still developing all round developmental skills at work, being in tandem with folks all over d world; creating value, still schooling and being nurtured in d biz world and not just DRIVE, DRIVE and DRIVE!
I have friends that are in this biz, their frustration is similar to d ones I read here, for over 4 yrs someone can only eat, pay rent/sch fees and some few bills and that's all!!!
What would old age looks like? Your guess?

Omo wahala no dey finish for this hustle!

I picked this lady from old secretariat ikeja to shomolu(oloja, off olorunkemi) After dropping her, I got another one from off folagoro to barikisu iyede(one lounge like that)....a guy!

I closed and drove home after dropping the guy. This lady called me and said she forgot her nokia phone in the car. Apparently she sat in front and I didn't see any phone.

So I told her that I'll check and if I didn't see it, I'll go back to the lounge and meet the guy. I drove straight to the lounge and met the guy with his friends. I pleaded with him but he told me he didn't see any phone. He showed the 2 iPhone he uses. I begged him so much but he said; sir, honestly I didn't see any phone. Then I called the lady again and she rejected my call.

I sent her a message that I'm trying to help her but she's rejecting my calls. She called not quite long to threaten me that she will find me and lock me up, and she will make sure I'm severely dealt with. She also said she will go to bolt office and report me that I'm a thieve!

Omo I just taya for all these wahala! Wetin be all these temptation for God's sake?

Maybe I should just leave bolt and continue with my indrive. I no dey get all these yamayama wahala for indrive.

Meanwhile I told her that I'm innocent and whatever she wants to do, she should go ahead.
That is the 'psychological effect' and the yamayama you see on this job..It's such a meltdown for me and for many drivers..Reason why I don't comment on Uber driver/salary work on this space again.. Quite funny when people say they love and prefer the job because they are their own boss, they CONTROL everything and NEARLY EVERYTHING is under their feet! Dey play..
This job, like most job out there can make you MAD!!!
You might probably be mad already and you don't know...If you see how one olosho talk to me recently ehn, me wey I say make I no drive empty, baba I drive empty for two weeks I no send...had to sit it out make the insult melt...this job na werey job o, if the tin no dey affect you, you're lucky..Maybe you be werey too

Landmark CEO is crying because FG wants to build a highway in front of his resort blocking access to the ocean. They don't need to demolish it to damage the resort... They've greatly diminished its value with this Act.

Those telling the man to take heart and sacrifice... Have never lost up to $1m talk more of $200M
I have thought of this but reserve my comment because of how the whole issue has turned tribal, quite unfortunate though!!!
I have taken time to listen to both side and as someone who had worked in that facility and still work for a retail biz that has a biz there till date, I wonder why matters was not taken to court?
The simple truth is, he has no valid paper to claim ownership, I know that very well..
Pls note that landmark will still be standing, atleast my company has not been served any paper to quit so I know it's just those shanties and those small small structures, nothing solid, that will give way for the bridge ..
Govt owned atleast 250 meters from all shoreline..Go to any beach, take ur tape and measure 250 meters, they all belong to the FG, not state o...
Very likely some crooked govt official has collected money from him on that place but nobody will give you a valid doc for an illegal transaction...
There is no 200M dollar investment on that shoreline owned by landmark, unless those buildings with LANDMARK written in it were pulled down and I know they are not going to touch that...
Usually when govt want to do something like this, property owners will always quote outrageous figure just to be on d safer side to receive commensurable compensation....I hope we can STOP all this tribal comment and innuendos.

You're not getting a Kobo until materials get to my site and it's confirm..He was DISTURBING just like this but I kept my cool ..To be honest, he did delivered then, exactly what I wanted, got paid fully as promise, as expected started asking for some tips because according to him he miss d road and travel longer blabla so I think I added a little for gas...The guy na funny werey and I think he has some MENTAL ISSUE..Infact I store his name as WEREY ROOF SUPPLIER....I also noticed his price are kinda of cheaper than anyone here and even in d open market, almost two years now and I think he has not changed...Like I said, I still don't know how anyone would CHEAT me with POD!!! I didn't donate to any church POS or any POS
I don't trust anybody and I keep my stuff personal.

Yesterday when I was trying to withdraw at the bank? I noticed something new.
I was told I had to scan my card for security reasons. The stuff is on top of the machine (ATM). I tried scanning as told then I inserted my card but the whole thing started misbehaving asking me to insert my 8-16 digits pin (It was the first time I ever experienced such). I didn't fully know what the 8-16 digits meant but I inserted my ATM pin which to my surprise was visible on the screen. I immediately deleted

I strongly suspect that the guy behind me (who, together with another person who had left at this time, told me about the scanning stuff must have seen my pin when it showed on the screen.

Now the thing is, my card didn't fall down at any time and I am absolutely sure it was my card that was inserted and swallowed.

So, even if the guy I think saw my pin did, how was he able to access my card which is supposed to be in the machine.

I will be going to that bloody bank now. I hope they are ready to see a mad man
This is what I have been waiting for... Something STRANGE and out of the ordinary happen at the ATM....Yes, that is all they need to wipe your money ..When you go to the ATM, anything strange or any new tactics/instructions especially at odd hour (that is after closing time of d bank), DO NOT TRANSACT!!!Bros, I think your money is gone and that bank security might be part of the game ..

Early last year I was motivated to start a beer distribution business, I did my research bought the land and constructed the building.

Unfortunately for me, I didn't know someone is selling just few blocks to where I acquired the land. Although the competitor was a small scale but I do not want to compete because there is also a coke/pepsi depot right next to it.

I've decided to go into manufacturing but I'm not sure what I could do. I need ideas and possible the required capital that would start it.

Please no pure water factory suggestions.

Thank you.
That is a multimillionaire project..You should have all this figure out already.. Nevertheless, I will suggest you rent it out for now, then take all the time to THINK DEEPLY about what's best for you..Later and soon enough, you would know whether to port or continue rentals.. you will figure it out.
Congrats in advance.
