Only NNPC CHQ does the graduate trainee program, other subsidiaries engages siwes and IT( for OND holders ) .so if he is in Abuja, Lagos, Kaduna,warri,ore,mosimi ,etc or anywhere closer then it is advisable not to relocate cos of the internship o ,the pay isn't sooooo

You are very correct but i only spoke on current practice, there are some other events that can't be discussed here though but you are also very much in order. 50 officers concluded that course few months ago and others are undergoing same at the moment. The move is not automatic at all.

SS 1 is supretendent and the move from SS1 to DM is not automatic, you must first and foremost go for a three months chief officer course, sit for an exam after the course then Wait for months or some period of time for management decision.

Though they are called such names but the three main classifications of cadre are officer (up to ss4), supervisor (ss3-ss1) and management (m6-m1). U can call ss4 senior officer, m6 deputy manager etc. And if u pass transition course like OCEP (From officer to supervisor) or chief officers course (supervisor to managerial) the effective promotion date is d date u were due for it not to the day u passed d transition/exam. Though the management can decide otherwise.

No doubt NNPC staff get seconded to NLNG -those that attended the coaching organized by my career firm, JarusHub, will remember I said it in each class.

But it is not an NLNG project that will make NNPC suddenly increase new recruits from planned 1300 to 5000. Not even to 2000 is plausible.

Not even NLNG, the direct owner of the project, will recruit 3500 extra hands for a project.

As a matter of fact, oil and gas projects are handled by specialized external contractors called oil servicing companies with supervision and collaboration with internal resources. If that internal resources is to be enhanced for a specific company, it wont be recruiting 3500 new staff.

What happened to such staff after end of project when you move to operations phase? Lay them off? Keep paying their salaries for 7 years before you have another project of such scale?

That is the reason there are specialized firms for that - oil servicing firms - who can move such employees (project) to another company's/client's projects whe on project is completed, and who pay lower salaries than asset owning companies, and who are the quickest to lay off during downturn in oil and gas industry when they are not getting enough projects.

If at all NNPC (which is not NLNG and will only second) is going to increase their planned staff intake because of a new NLNG project, it wont be by more than 200 new people. And secondment to NLNG from NNPC involves high level politics. Doubt a new recruit will get this.

NLNG has a separate recruitment process (and an entirely different corporate practice), if it wants to recruit, it wont come from NNPC recruitment.

You guys dont need all these. NNPC is recruiting less than 1,300 people from authentic HR source. If it's going to increase, it wont be more than 1,500.

I’m also thinking in line with what the Oga said because on the day of my interview, after the panel secretary ushered the first interviewee out she met we the other interviewee seated outside chatting and smiling with each other and the next thing she said threw us all off balance. She said ”you people should continue sharing ideas, you don’t know it’s a competition here, you all here are just competing for just 2 slots". Immediately she went in, nobody said anything to anyone anymore. We were 7 interviewee in my batch. I also believe the best candidates were chosen immediately after each batch were completely interviewed (going by what the panel secretary said that day). An average of 6 interviewee per batch, when you divide 9000(total invitees) by 6(average number per batch) = 1500, then multiply by 2(successful candidates per batch) = 3000(to be employed from my estimation/calculation).. It’s just my own opinion based on what my panel secretary said to us that day. Not from any source please.

i concur with your very sound analysis. In my own batch we were four with different role each. There was EH audit and others. I think the competition is tied more to state of origin.

If the Tfare don't continue next week, it's a two way thing. It's either the claim of NNPC employing 4,500 or 5,000 candidates is true....so they decided to pay off the remaining people which is why not really large number of people have received. Going by this, it simply means NNPC wants to recruit 65% of the people called for interview and the remaining 35%have been paid off.
Also it could be that, the 1% theory which will be elevated to 35% theory, meaning out of number of people invited 35% that v been paid are the successful ones.
Thirdly, it could be that TFare and APL have no correlation whether they fail to continue payment next week or not.
Choose the one that suites you!!!! I won't be responsible for anybody wey get HBP here. This is just an opinion/perspective.

What level are we? Potential staff belong to PENGASSAN. The SS means Senior Staff. And note that President is now the Minister of Petroleum Resources. Do you ever heard info on how nnpc and other MDAs recruit their low level staff? That has not been the discussion subect of this platform.

Let us reason with our number 7 plz. Do you know how long and cumbersome it is to get approval for recritment? HR via Governing Board via bla bla finally to Buhari for final review and approval? And now someone will just escalate to you that process is ongoing to increase or reduce number of hirings. Should even this be true, expect APL by December 2019 at least. We need to know the process of getting approvals, in particular when it involves presidential table. Now that nnpc is lobbying to get approvals for CBA and u expect the new GMD to meet President with a talk different from what Dr. Baru documented? A beg bring another reasonable story plz. NNPC Processess no be state govts type oooo that u can change and change.

There are so many regulations/regulators that governs nnpc operations/projects:
DPR, Environment, NEITI, NOGICD Act, FIRS among others

Mehn testimonies of some persons here is making it look like I performed poorly.
My interview was short, direct, full of smiles and laughs.
A panelist asked me to give an instance where I had to make a quick decision to a pressing issue. I went blank. I could not think of anything at that moment. I did not answer the question. I just kept quiet there for like 2 minutes. She decided to let other Panelists ask me their questions while I think

When I was done with them and it came back to her turn again, same question (no answer). I silently told myself (should I lie about an event). Then she ask if there was a time I did what I naturally won't do under normal circumstances. I said yes and she asked me to narrate it to them. What was the situation that led to that action.

Then they asked me to look around the office and assume it is mine. What should I do to avoid any hazardous incidence from occurring. I said we should be careful with electrical appliances and connections.

They really probed my CV sha. But I thank God.
Then contributions of NNPC to the economy of Nigeria.

On God, reading how composed some guys were during their interviews, I feel I was neither here nor there. But OLÚWA WA (GOD DEY)

BY the way, I heard Panel 6 for EH (the commercial guys) asked tough questions.

Mine was panel 6. Though not commercial. The panelists used to be exited with right answers. They didnt hide their feelings on wrong answers. There were testimonies with our squad.

The info is coming from a HR official to one of the applicants who already is a casual staff in nnpc ( they were also allowed to apply like us)
I won't publish it out of respect and ethics. But there's really something about this tp reimbursement.
