Overhaul by simply reshuffling the cards internally within the organisation? NNPC has never really been up there compared to her peers like Saudi Aramco, Petronas and Petrobas. It is generally perceived to be a very inefficient and wasteful organization, mainly due to the fact that is a fully Nigerian govt driven organization with little or no goals or target to attain. No wonder, the refineries have been comatose for years and no one has lost his/her job over that. Unlike private organizations, there is little emphasis on grooming leadership /management staff based on merit or appraisal. It will surprise you that most correspondences / memos within NNPC are still via paper rather than electronic! How archaic can that be?

It is difficult, if not impossible to produce a well groomed 21st century manager in such an environment that can turn around the fortunes of any NNPC subsidiary. NNPC system makes it hard to grow well groomed and technical managers.

The only way NNPC can truly restructure for enhanced performance is to be open to genuine structural re-organization. More importantly, NNPC must be ready to hire senior management staff from outside the organization who have years of experience working in performance driven corporations. Such people should be given the free hand to inject new ideas and reinvigorate the team spirit. Anything such is nepotism, politics or tribalism under the guise of merit.

I can aasure you that nothing will change, with the current NNPC structure backed by law. It's all steam but no movement.

I just got admission for masters in Unibuja and I'm to start next month. If I get NNPC's offer and I'm posted to Abuja, will it be possible to run the two at same time. Seeing that the masters is full time.

Based on wat i know, you can only study on permission by your employer (either full or part time). The best thing is to meet any NNPC HR staff that you may know and seek for advice (informally). From then, you will know the next stage, formally. Doing it formally will give u advantage to include it in your file upon graduation, should any internal opportunity arises. Though, u may do it with out nnpc knowledge but at your own risk and against the HR handbook.

from a very reliable source, not everyone will be paid tf. But to what criteria is what I don't know.

Staff at krpc was paid tf then
HSE guy at towers was not paid up to today

Note: Their payment was late. They got paid after collecting APL (for those that got d tf).

1. Operator with krpc was paid
2. HSE supervisor at the towers was not paid (as of July 9, 2019 my interview date)
3. Someone that didnt make it was paid long time after the recruitment (this was also narrated in this forum by the person. Can search for it).

Plz digest to your sentimental level and get accorded with one or all of the following:
1. Pleasure
2. Intense HBP

Whilst u guys probably interviewed serially, u probably won't have written ur names on the same sheet for account details. because the sheet was not for a specific department /course. So when the first person did and went to write his/her name, others from different panels would have written also before u finished ur interview. And I recall the sheet of paper wasn't a long one.

Just be calm and let things unfold. Dnt know how we can possibly change anything now, than to wait for the outcome backed by prayers. All things are possible.
