Exempted from biometrics. Took 30days to get the gcms. Ordered after my application clocked 4 months
Juliusdaughter:

This is good news. Please how long after Biometrics did you order for the GCMS note? And how long does it take for IRCC to get back to you?

File moved from Sydney CIO to Hong Kong VO after passing eligibility. How fast is Hong Kong, does anyone have experience with them?

Please don't decline it, 4M is fine for a family of one, I submitted the same amount and my eligibility was passed.
Gummygummy:
Hello everyone!
I’m a tad worried about my proof of funds with the way CAD has been fluctuating. I’ll be submitting my application sometime this week and 4 million naira is all I can spare right now for POF. I’ve been worried sick that with the whole fluctuation going on, it might not be enough. Someone advised I either add an extra 500k to cushion whatever effects the changes might bring(I can’t afford the extra till maybe next year) or decline ITA to buy extra time to add more cash. What do you all kindly suggest?

Secondly my bank reference has no average six months balance like in the CIC format. It was a huge hassle of going to the bank every day for two weeks to get this one. Will a six month bank statement suffice instead? There was hardly any activity in the account these six months though

no, they are going to use your previous biometrics. I have a similar case, my biometric(Nov 2016) was recently added after MEP
Travelpes:
Goodmorning all. Please if an applicant did biometrics in 2016 and 2017 and got visitor's visas on both occasions, will he/she be required to do another one when applying for PR this year?

While I am grateful it was early, I’m just a bit confused because I thought MEP comes first, hence my question.
COPR2020:

Just calm down. You should even be grateful and happy that eligibility has been passed this early. Congrats in advance

If you can’t give an insightful reply, it’s best you pass next time.
r4blessing:
Jesus Christ, just relax would you? The person you are asking is not the VO. Just give IRCC time to process your application, is not even up to a month yet. Lord have mercy!!!

What about eligibility passed? What does it mean? I thought it came after MEP/BIL, why is it before MEP in my case?
Ejay:

MEP/BIL is now within 45-60 days after AOR.

I have a question house, I called IRCC yesterday, the agent told me he can see that eligibility has been passed, that I am qualified to apply under FSW. He further stated that background check is in progress crminality and security, my question is I am yet to see MEP on my profile. Is this the new method used by IRCC? My AOR is 16th Oct

Add the ones you are claiming for in your profile, after getting ITA add the remaining in your personal history
phabulous88:
Guys,

Is it compulsory to list all the companies you’ve worked with in your EE profile, even though you don’t want to claim points for all of them?

I have over 8 years experience but just want to claim for 4 years.

I don’t have time to be chasing an employer who doesn’t want to provide a reference

I messaged my account officer everyday, I didn't allow her rest at all. You are a customer and they are keeping your money, they are obligated to give you official documents when required, please apply more pressure, if they don't agree, you can explain in your LOE
Nikkybeth:

Wow. My branch bluntly refused saying the reference letter cannot be altered. I'm now confused. Should I go back and keep insisting or should I use the letters I have and explain it. This thing is supposed to be easy and straight forward but I guess some people like to make things difficult. Same bank with staff giving conflicting info as if they don't have the same training. I'm just tired. Who knows maybe they gave you what you requested be cause you're already abroad. Sorry I'm just venting
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Daraojo: 2:14am On Nov 05, 2020
I got mine from GTB last month, I told them my requirements, they told me this was not the normal letter they provided, so it had to go through an approval process which only took two days.
After which my request was granted and I was given the letter required. Therefore, I think it depends on your branch and relationship with account manager.

A point to note, I did this remotely, as I am presently abroad.

Nikkybeth:
For people that have questions on GTbank reference letter. Their letter does not contain all the information required by IRCC. I tried to pressure them to include all the details and they bluntly refused. So what I've done is to get three different letters from them and my bank statement. I got a reference letter, letter of non- indebtedness and letter of fixed deposit. I'll do the necessary explanations in my LOE. I hope this is helpful.

I don't know for sure but I think the 3 years of work experience must come from 1 NOC
Omotoyosi24:

Thanks for responding.
I understand I have to pick a primary NOC. My question is can I claim 3years of experience even though the NOCs are different?.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Daraojo: 3:02am On Oct 23, 2020
So what is the deciding factor? there are quite a lot of people here that submitted in the UK and got London VO office.

I am sure country of residence is quite an important factor

Hello house, how is VO allocated? Country of origin or residence?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Daraojo: 12:55am On Oct 23, 2020
Yes, you have to pick a primary occupation, it is not compulsory to have 3 years of work experience, however, to get the maximum points for work experience you need it.
Omotoyosi24:
Hi everyone
Hope y’all are staying safe.
Please I have a question

I have a year work experience as an admin assistant and 2years experience as a business development officer
Can I claim points for 3years work experience?

I have read the thread and also Canada immigration site and I am a bit confused about this statement

‘’ In the last 10 years, how many total years of foreign skilled work experience do you have?
It must have been paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation (NOC skill type 0, A or B)’’

Those ‘one occupation’ mean it has to be from only one job.
I am a bit confused
Please help.
Thanks

I am abroad and I need a stamped account statement for PR application. My account officer told me to download the statment from my online banking, the PDF file was automatically stamped and signed with the branch contact detaisl below for confirmation. Is this statement of account sufficent enough?
