Thanks for the correction.

it is still important to outline the "perceived" wrongs perpetrated in the name of religion and discuss about it.

The darkness should not be ignored and the light should be encouraged.

We cant pretend that all is perfect when it is not. That is deceit.

Beautiful ,snowwy. We don't need to curse darkness, instead of cursing darkness ,you just turn on the light. Many are busy cursing what they perceive as darkness yet , they have no light to shine.
What is it about you that is shining? you don't know these people---especially as these is a faceless forum. how do you know they are not shining?

There is no such thing as luck?

Really?

I wonder the amount of preparation lottery winners do before winning the lottery? SO, they are not lucky?

I wonder who invented the word "luck", if there is no such thing as luck.

Why don t you try winning the lottery without luck. Or getting a contract without luck.

Why dont you try crossing a busy highway without luck----

Ordained by God through the ministry of laying on of hands. Paul was ordained . Timothy was ordained. So every christian doesn't have the MOG ordination .

1 Timothy 4:14
14 Don't neglect the gift which you received through prophecy when the spiritual leaders placed their hands on you to ordain you.
Its spamdare ( I keep alternating from phone to computer, never mind)

So, who Ordained Pastor Odulele? (His mentor is David Oyedepo)

Who Ordained Pastor Terry Jones that burnt the quran leading to the death of innocent people?

Who ordained the Pastor In the WACO incident that lead to massive suicide of the congregation.?

Who ordained this guys and the present MOG'S?

God?

Are you telling God will instruct "Mogs" to buy Jets, but God cant instruct them to go to the village in kenya where children are dying of hunger.  Are those children not God's children.

God can't instruct them to go to people with inadequate healthcare and can't afford 3 square meal? But the guys he "ordained" travels around the world in luxury, drive big cars and live in big massion?

God?

Your God is not a God of poverty?

BUT HE COLLECTS THE TITHES AND OFFERINGS OF POOR PEOPLE?

God ordained these MEN,  ARE YOU SERIOUS??

I gave a reason and example why we cant leave these self-acclaimed "men of God" alone in reference to your post.

Far from it.  I love to be challenged. As long as we dwell on the bible.
My admonition is to my fellow christian . What I taught is based on the word. I don't know if you're born again. Any spiritual knowledgeable person will understand my exhortation.
Lol.  You crack me up. "spiritual knowledgable person"-----"born-again"

Tell those to your members.

Any "spiritual person" would understand the diversity of humanity?
Any "spirituial person" would know religion was used to enslave our fore-fathers?
Any "spiritual person" would know that hardwork and luck results to prosperity and not enriching his fellow man under the guise of "MOG"

You can emulate them, you can worship them, whatever,  THEY ARE MEN and they sin just like you and I.

They lead people to Christ yet they dont live like Christ??  THE IRONY.

Stop the hypocrisy.

@ Snowwy

What do we do to a pastor that molest the children of the church??

Let him continue while we leave him to God?

What if that child was your Son? what do you do.

We have to address this issues and not just call any tom, d,ick and harry "men of God", did God tell you they are his men?

Check the story of the "WACO" incident in America, Where a "man of God"  told people God told him everyone should commit suicide---AND THEY ALL COMMITTED SUICIDE- BECAUSE NOBODY WANTED TO CHALLENGE THE WORD OF GOD.

No authority should go Un-challenged, except the word of God----not the word of MEN, with their various interpretations-

Why would God give us a Brain---if we decide not to use it.

LUCK ;

Here is a list of the 10 biggest winners (uk):

1. Nigel Page, 43, and his partner, Justine Laycock, 41, who live near Cirencester, in Gloucestershire, became Britain's biggest-ever winners when they scooped a prize of £56 million today.
The pair shared Friday's overall EuroMillions jackpot of £113 million with one other ticket which was bought in Spain

2. Les and Sam Scadding from Newport, South Wales, and a syndicate of seven Liverpudlian call-centre workers shared a staggering £91 million in November last year.
Mr Scadding, who said he was lucky to be alive after beating cancer, was £68 overdrawn on the day he bought his ticket. The unemployed mechanic had been out of work since the previous Christmas.
Meanwhile, the Liverpool syndicate - dubbed the "Magnificent Seven" - each banked £6.5 million.
The group, all employed by Hewlett Packard to carry out IT work at a BT office, only started playing the Lottery together four months before their win.

3. Lottery officials had to appeal for Glaswegian Angela Kelly to come forward after she scooped more than £35 million.
The Post Office worker had left her winning EuroMillions ticket in her handbag for three days before checking the numbers.

4. Someone scooped £26.5 million in August 2007 but the winner opted to avoid publicity.

5. A family of builders, the Sturts, from Dorking in Surrey, banked £26.1 million just last month.
Taxi driver George Sturt, 75, believed the win was a gift from his late wife who died from breast cancer just six months before their windfall.
He vowed the Sturt family would not give up their jobs, following their luck.

6. Brian Caswell, from Bolton, Greater Manchester, won just short of £25 million last June.
The 74-year-old, a retired export manager, insisted he would not let the money change his life but said he would buy a flash car and go to Rio.
The pensioner, who scooped half the jackpot on the EuroMillions draw, said he and wife Joan, 72, would not move far from their modest home.

7. In 1995, double glazing businessman Mark Gardiner popped the champagne corks after sharing a record £22.5 million jackpot with business partner Paul Maddison.
But before the glasses were filled, Mr Gardiner's estranged wife was reportedly demanding half his share of the cash.
The two friends, from Hastings in East Sussex, spent more than £20 a week on National Lottery tickets, picking numbers at random in their office.
They only discovered their luck when Mr Gardiner went to the local bowling green to play a match and realised he had not checked the week's numbers.

8. Camelot had to launch an appeal for cancer patient Iris Jeffrey, 58, to come forward and collect her cheque for £20.1 million in 2004.
Just months after being diagnosed with the illness, the Belfast housewife hit the jackpot.
Her win went unclaimed for three weeks until the mother of two spotted the appeal on the news and dug out her ticket.
She immediately pledged to splash out on family and friends, with a new washing machine her only luxury.

9. The Benson Family thought their luck was in when they landed £20 million in 1995 but while they were out collecting their winnings, thieves broke into their home on the Boothferry Estate, in Hull, and stole jewellery of great sentimental value.
Terry Benson, an electrician, later appealed to the burglars to return the stolen items which included a pearl necklace he had bought his wife Brenda on their 30th wedding anniversary.
Some of the stolen property was later recovered following the plea for information.

10. A group of butchers scooped a cool £20 million in September 2000.
The Walter Cross syndicate, of Robert Perrie's butcher, in Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, bought their ticket at the next-door grocer's shop.

Are you serious?

Is every member of that minister's church rich?

@ Gentle me, sorry --(Tonye-T)

Since I am "rolled" in, I might as well respond to your childish antics.

Firstly, your rudeness seem to me to come as a result of a disturbed childhood, were you abused and deprived so bad that you seem to harbour a lot of anger in youself?

Either you are a very young individual or a very ignorant adult, whichever way, you need to find a source to vent your frustrations and anger.  We all have different opinions and views and it is inevitable we clash, but dude, your manners are repulsive and I really feel sorry for those around you because I am sure they are embarrased for you.
Gentle me (the sexual expert)or Tonye- T (the tithe crusader), whichever one, you give Christianity a terrible name and your attitude reflects your reasoning capacity. Shameful.

"Militant Christianity"

Am sure you feel you are doing God or Jesus a favour by your repulsive behaviour. I give it to Joagbaje for his matured response when under criticism. You on the other hand behave like a Dog that has been starved for days.

By the way, am responding from my Office's computer, so technically am not Jobless. wink

Ps stop feeding this troll.   Debates are inevitable in life and we all have different opinions. People should learn to construct their views appropriatly in order to achieve sensibility and coherence. This Troll must not be given the food he thrives on. Attention.

I commend your approach on this tithe issue. Though I don't agree 100% with your post, the maturity of your response reassures that there are still sensible folks out there who can construct there arguments positively.

I believe the new generation pastors have abused the concept of tithes and offerings. Their lifestyle contradicts the humility Jesus exemplified.

2. I really don't care about the bloody debate.
3. I get no points/money/credibilty for stating my observations.

Why gentle man changed his post is puzzling and thanking me for a comment directed to someone else in that manner is more puzzling. Then you appear a min later to say the same thing is beyond puzzling.

Hence my reason for asking if you are the same person. Just an observation on my part.
