@ newmi

Since you are flaberwelmed and overgasted.

Who are the Men of God?
Who ordained them as Men of God?
you?

Or did God say to you they are his Men?

What are the examples of "evil speakings" against them?
And are you aware that not everyone follows Christ or believes in your approach to the doctrination?, should they then have no say in a general matter, afterall, this is a public forum.

deji.ariyo:
Paradoxically, the same people who complain about the extravagant lifestyles of their spiritual leaders are the same ones who finance it. Every Sunday, swarms of worshipers rush to the church to give away their hard-earned money to the pastors’ coffers in the form of tithes, offerings and special gifts with the deluded hope of multiplied financial blessings in return. For many, this is but a pipe dream. Deep down, the pastors smile; they’ve got just the perfect suckers.

deji.ariyo:
It’s not cheap to own a private jet. On average, it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to maintain a personal plane. The majority of Nigerians frown at such flagrant displays of opulence, particularly on the path of their clergymen, given that 60% of Nigerians still live below the poverty line.
Sad, but true. "Liberate the world from oppression", reallyhuh

I wonder why some relentlessly take pleasure in evil speakings against men of God instead of focussing on their Purpose in christ
Who are the Men of God??
Give examples of the evill speakings I've done on the Men of God??

What do you mean by "evil speakings"

What is the purpose is Christ?

Again, I'm asking Innocently.

Sighs,

Firstly, my question was directed to Patrick.

Secondly, I was only asking to get an understanding on the issue of "Thou shall not judge"and its application, since Patrick mentioned it on his previoues post.

where did i decide wat you should decide to decide? merely pointed out that you are not in any position to decide for otheers. (gotta give u an A for your efforts to sound smart while evading the fact that you are really commenting on an issue without having any basis for such)
I was merely returning your rhetorics, evasion was unecessary.  So, I give you an F for your lack of comprehension.

here is indeed the bit where your lack of understanding is most exposed. work out your salvation with fear and tremblng has nothing to do with being afraid of a pastor, it simply means God does not care wat you think about any pastor, all he cares about is what you do with your life, so if you're gonna spend your time scrutinizing the activities of another man, you're wasting your time. your question should be am i right with God? not is bishop David Oyedepo right with God?
Kgdavid:

lol,
obviously churches make their money through offerings and tithes, these are honest means(legally) or are you adding a new accusation of criminal activity?  undecided
It is criminal activity if the offerings and tithes are used in a deceitful manner. Two jets in a poverty striken country is an unscrupulous spending pattern and an abvious lack of direction.
Again, I dont need to be a member to comment on this issue. It's a social and general matter.

Or do I need to be an an American to comment on american affairs to speak about Obama??

if you would have merely paid a little more attention instead of being in a rush to sound smart you would have realized im not a winners chapel member so i dont know wat arrangements they have concerning those but surely those who are members are satisfied with the arrangement no?. so organizations distribute profit amongst their membershuh lol Oh my God what am i reading here? look up the meanings of organization and company pls, for your own good.
You are right,  I jumped to conclude you are a member. You dont know the arrangements, but you Concluded just like me, to think they are happy with the arrangements.

In your silly effort to distinguish my error between an Organization and a Company, I really question your motives. Firstly, are there no organizations that distribute profits to shareholders??  I would have thought you understood the fact that I was using my Analogy in that context:

Well i am not saying this to mean that some pastor are better than the other, cos the bible expressly instructed that "we should not judge", My pastor Rv. Sam Adeyemi. Drives himself and wife to church every sunday. No tinted glasses, no convoy nothing. I just believe that people are different and do things differently , having cogent justification for their actions. So i wont say it is bad, My pastor has follower-ship but not as much as some other pastors. It might just be for crowd control as well.
Mr Patrick,

What should we do, for instance, If the a pastor abuses with a church members child, are we to say "we should not judge", or do we to address the issue?

Tel me, is the world free of oppression? has it ever been free of oppression?, what the hell is he still doing, coz the world is still oppressed and my man flexes in a private jet under the pretext of spreading the gospel. When did God's word need jets for conveyance?

I pray that God should bless you richly so that your mentality will change.Amen.
How do you know those that criticizes him are poor?

Maybe your mentality needs to change. Because someone is rich, does that mean the person is beyond reproach??
Why is Oyedepo richer than most of his congregation?
If his prosperity teachings are really true, why do members need the church transport to go to church ?? why do they need his scholarships and subsidies?

I would have expected that most of his members would be able to afford this things anyway since they have been blessed with riches.

Guess what??, HE IS THE ONE WITH THE RICHES.

May God have mercy on all those negatively criticizing the servant of God for buying a jet.
Let me ask you these questions;
1. Is it a crime for God to bless someone.
2. If not,is it a crime for someone to enjoy God's blessings on one's life.
2. If not,why the hullabaloo about Bishop David O. Oyedepo owning a private jet.
Let me confide this to you;God's blessings maketh rich and addeth no sorrrow,if only you can give up pleasures of life to serve God genuinely,God will not only give you a jet but shall make you own an airline company. You know he can do all things.I pray that God should bless you richly so that your mentality will change.Amen.
No, it is not a crime to receive God's blessing. But it is a crime to deceive and manipulate people.

Don shark,
which money did he use for the Jets?,  What are the jets used for?, how does the jet affect the lives of those that contributed to it? Of what benefit is it to them?

^^ Are you not being too critical?

Olaadegbu is using Biblical standards to judge and accepts his own fallibility so its not hypocrisy. The Bible states what is fine and what is not. I doubt if you'd want to call him false anyway. I too have before argued against him and we don't agree on everything. But the stuff he uses only state his own feelings is why he uses them - not all of us are good at composition. As long as they pass his message, they are fine and teach a good message in a society where some are almost selling indulgences. They (not him) should face heat!

Bury the hatchet, please!
Dude, If you read our earlier posts you will see why I levied the criticism. I actually prefer Olaadegu's approach, atleast he never claimes to raise anyone from the dead.

But he said someone was going to hell just because they don't agree on the same terms. To me that is bigotry, as only God decides who goes to heaven or hell.
Since we are all sinners, I FEEL IT IS HYPOCRITICAL TO NOW CONDEMN ANOTHER HUMAN BEING TO HELL JUST BECAUSE WE HAVE DIFFERENT VIEWS.
Hence why I asked him those questions.

dare2think:
Firstly, I dont think there is a need for a plane in a poverty stricken country like Nigeria. The money for the plane and its maintainance can be used productively on welfare and the less priveledged, not only to church members but anyone who needs help.

"Love thy neighbor" not love thy Christain neighbor.

To answer your question, I think the planes are used to satify Oyedepo's ego, and an unecessary show of wealth in a country or continent ravaged by poverty and disease.

So, what materials do they carry?

food? mosquito nets? what materials does a luxury jet carry??

I have broken all the 10 commandments of God, I have repented and have received the grace to go and sin no more and if I fall into sin I have an advocate Jesus Christ the righteous who is the propitiation for my sin. In short, I have now put on Jesus Christ as one would put on a parachute and when I pass through the gates of death I would land safely in the hollow of my Lord and Saviour. The question is are you good enough to make heaven? Click on the questionnaire to find out.
If you fall into sin?? so, there is still a probability you can fall into sin, yet you have the audacity to condemn others to hell. That is hypocrisy.

By the way, I dont need a questionnaire to calculate my righteousness and validity to heaven, it is Man-made. Only God holds that privilegde.

You sir, needs to stop leaning on other people's ideas of how to get to heaven, Human beings are not perfect. Only God holds the perfection key. You sttrike me as one who finds it difficult to reason on your own hence you depend heavily on other sources or other people's ideas to always prove your points.

OLAADEGBU:
I am not judging you, what 'am doing is simply telling you of God's judgment, that God, (not me) has judged all the world as being guilty before Him (Romans 3:19,23). When you were referring to Jesus not judging the love peddler in your earlier post what Jesus was offering her was forgiveness of her sin, because He was on His way to die on the cross for her. The woman acknowledged Jesus as "Lord" but He still told her, "Go, and sin no more." as you implied here. If the woman didn't repent, she would perish. To sin no more means that we should repent otherwise we would all likewise perish.
Jesus said "go and sin no more". He did not judge her on the spot. He encouraged her and despised the stoners who had already jugded her.

Why are you then taking the position of the stoners by condemning/ judging someone to hell??

You are still evading my questions righteuos one, Are you a saint that sin no more?? hence, giving you the leverage to jugde others to hell??

A man of god buys planes and we can easily jump to the conclusion that he took the money from the poor. If they are poor where did they get the money to give to him,
I think we should be more concerned about the fact that these planes are used for missionary work instead of being used by unbelievers to transfer all manners of wrong goods
Can you please give the doubters an example of the missionary work the planes have been used for.

Thank you.
