King James Bible "While they promise them Liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage" How then do you know a TRUE man of God? Is it by the material possessions? By the amounts of JETS and CARS? By the message? HOW?? |

Why risk offending others with your generalization. Not cool |

pgreatcd: For sure I do not see the faces of all them that have commented on this subject as it concerns Pastors being rich or poor. Moreover, your words are coming from your heart; remember - your word is your seed and also your fruit. Those of you that are critics and want to tell how more enlightened, understanding and decerning you are than the hundreds of millions in the Churches, have you tried to find out what a great differnce and turnaround these Pastors' ministries have made in the lives of their flocks? As a matter of fact, many of you critics always judge, evaluate and count the congregations from the sides of the ones who are not yet lifted. why not from the ones that lifted from grass to grace? Just get closer and you will see how the Pastors are touching lives financially. Finally, I want you to know that my comments are not in any way denying the fact that some are their for their belly and selfish intents, while many of them are their fulfilling purpose. Why should Pastors' affairs grieve you as though you were the one that called them? Who called them?? Did God tell you that he called them? They are Human just like you and I , and should be subject to criticism just like any other person. They were born the same way like everyother person, and will die like everyother person, Too much power corrupts, so criticsm is only inevitable. |

One thing that makes the most happy is that "it takes only God to do what men cannot fathom or understand" otherwise it is not God so you can go ahead and talk and also count the blessings and cash value of this man of God in your dreams while he spends it in real life blessing and making many rich.I am proud to be one of the sons of David Oyedepo and boy i am RICH well never used to be,matter of fact i was not only BROKE but my neighbor was Mr. poverty until i came in contact with the word of God via his teachings, you know that word that hits you deep in your spirit man in 2004(CEO of a viable oil & gas company). If you want to know how go to Matt.6:33. Outside NL, you send "appeal" letters to us asking mercy so your jeri'curled master doesn't kick you out on your bottom from where you make money but openly, you stand defiant and insult us in the belief that our honor will stand you in good stead and we will keep quiet?? You know you are depraved but ask honor from those you revile openly but beg quietly??
How dare you? How many people have you sent appeals to quietly without your Azibulua (Goodluck Jonathan's 1st cousin as you called her) and other crew knowing , that you think you have moral right to accuse anyone of hypocrisy for opposing your falsehood?
On NL, you've lied, cheated, manipulated, stood against God and Man all in a bid to fill that unending hellhole of a gullet that you have yet you can type the word "hypocrite"? You are a travesty in humanity, a disgrace even to the man you worship and you claim moral highground?
For your information, the reason why people "prove" you is because you boast. I do not so there is no pressure on me, You on the other hand, are boastful yet totally shallow, a liar, obviously a thief working for another thief and in another society, you would be hung (justifiably) from your scrawny chicken-like neck till dead.

We are all entitled to our opinions and views and this forum is a democratic medium in which everyone can express whatever they feel on the subject matter. We are both not members yet we contributed "for" and "against" the debate.
It is,to me, an obvious lack of judgement and sensibility to have two luxury jets bought with money from the church in an african country where poverty is predominant. The money can be used to change a lot of lives.
Would Jesus be in control of that money and purchase those things?, When there are still people on earth dying of hunger. Is everyone in the Church so comfortable that they don't need the money used for the Jets? Are you aware that power corrupts?
I dont know, but we need to ask questions and debate on the issues because at some point we would learn something from each other and progress would be made. |
