Seconded

Bar the qualification misadventure, the U-20 and U-23 teams he coached played really good football and didn't have problems scoring goals

We can all shout and wail here but even if we loose out in the round of 16, NFF won't sack Rohr. This guy I'm seeing here doesn't think the coach is the problem

Hello people, this is my first post but I've been following this thread incognito since 2016, and I've enjoyed the informative analyses from you guys even though I've been taken aback by the name calling, shading and abuses that sometimes surface in this thread. Unfortunately, this is a day I'll tag Black Sunday for SE of 9ja.
Well, as someone had already said, you can't give what you don't have. Rhor doesn't just have what it takes tactically to take SE to the next level. Come on, we've got some good attacking players that 90% of African countries would give an arm for and here we are after 90 minutes of an afcon game against Madagascar...I mean MADAGASCAR... and we could only create one decent chance.
I think it's time we sidon look and hope Rhors' contract expires quickly.
Seriously, in the three matches we've played so far in this afcon our attacking play most times has been drab, laid back with no real intent. If you asked me I'd say I don't think anything will change when we play in the round of 16. I just hope I'm wrong.
You're not wrong bro

Nothing would change. He's had three chances. He isn't going to magically turn things around.

Rohr is unchanging

I am not writing the team off yet.

Complaincancy affected the entire team. The number of changes were too many.

The team was overly complaisant. We are better than this.

We don't have credible midfield options. Time for Ogu and Mikel to take a bow. We need fresh Supply of young midfielders.

Ogu and Balogun were responsible for that defensive error. Nightmarish first half for Balogun.

Again, Rohr went to Egypt with surplus in natural wingers. That team doesn't have a natural supporting striker. And so we are condemned to lone striker setup all tournament.

I always try not to judge a team with it's performance in its last group game if they had qualified before that game.

Onwards, we take the matches as they come.
Ogu has always been average for us. Forget the crap of foreign best player in an obscure league.

His bow (and that of Mikel) should have been since after WC

From WC disappointment since that time, I don't trust Papi Rohr he is looking for world class players to coach...

Just that we don't have good local coach... Painful.
If you give this guy France, england or Netherlands to coach, he will still Bleep up.

The guy is just a dinosaur and is clueless. Simple

He remains our best coach, the 2013 team is not as talented as this present team. At this stage am even OK with an amuneke. This coach if he stays longer will make many Nigerians begin to drink sniper. Na football still dey make many Nigerians happier now with all the woes we have as a country.

There is no point qualifying for tournaments in grand style and being to fumble in the Main event. Rohr is not confident in himself to do well in tourneys as he begins to form excuses of having a young team. Abeg we deserve a better coach whether local or foreign
As in, its very painful.

Is it until the average age of our players are 34 before we would stand a chance?

Rohr has overstayed his welcome.

He should just go. The little things that give Nigerians peace are sports. Why is NFF and Rohr trying to take away that little joy

Now easy to understand why Briton and Hove Albion’s Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy kept the shaky and error prone Balogun benched for the whole season.

That is part of my main annoyance at Rohr. He lacks creative invention on how best to utilize the monstrous attacking talents we boast. Please we cannot be unfortunate for too long to have this kinda conservative and attack-deficient coach at the helm in an era we are witnessing a rise of fantastic and beastly young talents who only need the right system and bold offensive approach in the national team to shine and explode.
To think he took 7 attacker, one would expect a goal fest. But no.......disappointments again. Just like the WC....much promise but aerial disappointment.

I think Rohr has overstayed his welcome. At our level, we shouldn't be content with a coach that just qualifies easily. We should be challenging for titles.

The Algeria we beat 3:1 has improved a great deal that I forsee them beating us silly should we meet

If you believe Mikel is not the same player, how can playing him in an unfavourable position be a good solution?

Mikel should have been played deeper. Playing him in a packed position where he can not dictate the game is atrocious.

Even Iwobi found it difficult, let alone Mikel who does not play such role naturally. There are roles that suit players.
Ohhhhh. I see....some diehard fans haven't learnt still.

I personally would've stopped playing Mikel as a 10 after the WC.
I don't know what our so called "Chief/Head Coach"(Rohr is TD) is doing - but they need to be sacked. You can't leave the tactical side of things to Rohr especially with the new generation of players we have coming through.
Some will say we're overreacting over this loss but they need to go back and check their history.
You guys are just looking for excuses for Mikel.

Play him as AM or CM, Regista or box to box, Deep lying playmaker or advanced forward, he isn't the same player he used to be. In truth, he was always an above average player. I said it. You can't depend in a player like that. He isn't C. Rinaldo or Messi or Van Digk. He is above average at best. Hope we learn from this

He is not a tournament coach, some of us have said this before. we have no business loosing this game just like the last group game against Argentina in the world cup. I thank God this has happened.

Again I will continue to have issues with us having foreign coaches, are we truly sure they are better than our local coaches?
Apart from bonfree and westerhoff, the others have been woeful including the one presently coaching us
