Saraki ole. Liar like father like son. It's unfortunate dat dis EFCC suspect will be our virtuous president's partner in his fight against corruption. Wishing PMB all d best. |
notoriousbabe:We played our part. I wish PMB d very best. |
notoriousbabe:All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to remain silent. d President was naive to hav stayed aloof & not care who becomes senate president. Now he has to fight corruption wit a partner in a Senate President whose loyalty to d party is in doubt & is on d EFCC corrupt list. PMB, watch ur back! |

solidifi:U ar right. dis forum is going down fast. It's painful seeing NL bcom characterized by an emphasis on useless photographs & a sensationalist style designed to appeal to a mass audience. Unfortunately it is more irritating than appealing. It has bcom so boring dat people hav resorted to typing numbers since there really is nothing to comment on. Lol. NL can do better or we may be singing its dirge sooner than expected. |
Lilimax:d guy is only trying to protect his various interests. He's a major beneficiary of d PHCN sale. d haliburton case among others during his hurried handover to OBJ is also pending. He is friend to anyone in power, a true AGIP - Any Govt In Power. |
dis clown is now playing d religion card like his brother before him. A case of crass attention-seeking, tokenism & playing to d gallery. If Ben Bruce is truly serious & not playing cheap politics, he should champion d rejection of dis & other bogus allowances on d floor of d NASS. Afterall d wardrobe allowance is bonanza money. |
It is a great mistake to hav allowed Saraki's wife to be in d company of those virtuous women who ar gathered 4 a noble cause. d victims of Mr Saraki's Societe General scam ar still hurting. |
Saraki ole now wants d executive to remit funds to him. Liar like father like son. I believe Sanusi who said NASS members consume 25% of our national budget. It's unfortunate dat dis EFCC suspect will be our amiable president's partner in his fight against corruption. Meanwhile, while majority of nigerians live below $1-$2 a day, d budget of d less than 500 members of NASS is higher than dat of 21 states & Saraki dey yarn nonsense.

carzola:Pity urself. If voting out a clueless, confused & overwhelmed PDP govt is wrong, I don't want to be right. Don't get it twisted. dis allowances were approved by d spineless GEJ & nigerians ar only urging President Buhari to correct d mistake & result of GEJ's ineptitude. |
All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to remain silent. d President was naive to hav stayed aloof & not care who becomes senate president. Now he has to fight corruption wit a Senate President who is on d EFCC corrupt list. How will dat help his anti-corruption agenda? Meanwhile d budget of d NASS for less than 500 people is higher than that of 21 states of d federation. |
I blame d president 4 opting to work wit anyone even d likes of Saraki who has an EFCC case. While civil servants ar being owed several months salary & majority of nigerians live below $1-$2 a day, d NASS budget is higher than dat of 21 states. Is dis d change?

Saraki ole, o tun pa iro. Like father like son. d sufferings of d numerous victims of ur Societe General scam shall surely haunt u. |
kettykings:Hahahaha u must be a hero-hungry mofo. Emeagwali is an intellectual fraud. A 419. Emeagwali is neither a “doctor” nor a “professor” & has no single academic publication. Emeagwali studied for a Ph.D. degree frm d University of Michigan frm 1987 through 1991. His thesis was not accepted by a committee of internal & external examiners and was thus not awarded d degree. He has no invention patents, he did not invent the connection machine & he does not hav “the Nobel Prize” of Computing as he claims. His only Accolade was d 1989 Gordon Bell Prize wit a cash prize of $1,000. He was able to deceive Nigerians & line his pockets thru bogus lies at conferences & on d speechmaking circuit. Barth Nnaji resigned as minister due to shady wrong-doings U can do better than having Okonjo-Iweala who failed woefully as minister as ur role model. Iweala superitended over d most massive looting of our national treasury in history. Under her watch, our govt corporations, infrastructure etc built over many years & generations & dat should rightly belong to our children & grand children were shamelessly shared within a cabal of govt sponsors in deals dat reek of corruption & infamy. Time will tell if dis woman will escape jail should Buhari keep to his promise of punishing d corrupt. |
thotsofnaij:d Jagaban has nothing to prove to u or to anyone dat he is indeed a patriot. Bola Tinubu was a frontline member of NADECO & played a prominent role in d struggle 4 democracy in Nigeria. Even in dis dispensation he has contributed greatly to d deepening of our democracy & d breaking up of d evil strangle-hold on d nation by d PDP which swore to cling to power 4 d next 60yrs whether they perform or not. While bigots who can not rise above tribe & tongues continue to pour oppprobium on him, d patriotic majority of nigerians remain grateful to him & continue to support him 4 raising d standard against a clueless, confused & overwhelmed PDP govt. Not minding d happenings in d national assembly, going forward, d Jagaban can only grow frm strength to strength as he has been doing since 1999. Afterall Buhari suffered worse & was even declared unelectable by people who did not believe in him. We who believed in him hav today made him president. When d history of nigeria is written, d Asiwaju's name will surely be written in gold. |
thotsofnaij: If d NCNC had been united it should hav been easy 4 Azikiwe to go to d centre. But NCNC had a split. d NCNC won all d five members frm Lagos but only two members from each division could go to d Federal House. Lagos then was part of the West, so it was d Western House of Assembly that would choose d two dat would go. The NCNC thought they were going to choose Dr. Azikiwe & Dr Olorunmimbe but another NCNC member Adedoyin now told them he too wanted to contest. d Action Group supported Olorunnimbe & Adedoyin. How is dis different frm what we just witnessed play out at d national assembly where PDP supported Saraki & Dogara as against d APC candidates? There ar a lot of untruths & misconceptions out there wit some persons claiming dat d AG bought over some NCNC members to cross-carpet in order to form d majority in d western house of assembly. d truth is dat d AG won d elections & were d majority. There were only 80 members in d assembly & d AG won 45 making them d majority. However, some members of d NCNC who did not want to be in opposition & wanted to be in office crossed carpet to d AG. Will it be right for us to say d issue of cross-carpeting was an ethnic thing when those dat cross-carpeted were not only yorubas?. They included Ijaws & many other minorities whose rights d Action Group will later go on to champion. Unfortunately, many igbo including Azikiwe keep debating dis issue frm a narrow & myopic view & trying mischievously to paint issues wit an ethnic brush & paint themselves as victims. How is it d fault of d AG dat some NCNC members who hated being in d minority joined d AG's majority in d house?. NB: Awo has never positioned himself to benefit anything frm d North. Throughout his political years he was in d opposition while Azikiwe was their man. Tinubu is a patriot who having realized dat regional parties like d AC, CPC, ANPP, APGA could not rescue nigeria frm d strangle-hold of d dysfunctional PDP, joined d national call 4 all men of goodwill to come together in a grand alliance to confront d PDP. Unfortunately a faction of APGA, d Ohaneze & mainstream igbo decided to maintain d status-quo & rot of d clueless GEJ. Amaechi one of d leading lights in d struggle to dislodge GEJ is frm d south-south. Tinubu's involvement had nothing to do wit east, west or north. It was about d yearnings of nigerians to get rid of d PDP. |
thotsofnaij:If Azikiwe thought teaming-up wit d NPC to become ceremonial president was d way to go, it's all well & good. My post was directed at various igbo posters calling d yoruba slaves 4 answering d patriotic call to rid our nation of d corrupt & dysfunctional GEJ govt. I set out in my post to show dat contrary to what mischief makers ar saying, throughout history d igbo & hausa hav always been political bed-mates. d yoruba opting & being content to stay in opposition. |
OREMUSSANCTUS:Deep down u know dat is b*llshit. But then delusional humans see what they want to see. . |
OREMUSSANCTUS:History does not support ur claims. It is d SE dat has learnt nothing & continues to make political miscalculations. 1st it was d NCNC/NPC accord, then came d NPN/NPP accord, then came d massive support 4 d PDP. For their support they got d position of ceremonial president in d 1st republic & speaker of d house of reps in d 2nd republic. They settle 4 crumbs. On d other hand d yorubas hav always preffered to be equal partners or they stay in opposition. 1) In d 1st republic Azikiwe & d NCNC & Sardauna & his NPC had an accord wit Sardauna as Prime Minister & Azikiwe as President. Chief Awolowo & his AG were in d opposition. (SW) 2)In d 2nd republic Azikiwe's NPP had a ruling accord wit d northern NPN. President - Shagari V. President - Alex Ekweme Speaker - Edwin Ume-Ezeoke Opposition - Awolowo & UPN (SW) 3) 3rd republic PDP S.E & North Opposition - AD (SW) Is d S.E right in their continued support of d PDP which is a mutant of d NPC & NPN?. Will it bring them d desired development & political relevance?. Time will tell. |
pasol4real:Hahahaha rebasing, biggest economy. I guess u expect d nigerian masses to be celebrating growth without development or an individual under whose watch they had d greatest inequality in their land. Iweala's empty statistics (which according to Soludo were forged) had no meaning or impact on d masses of Nigeria & that was why we rejected at d polls, Iweala & her trickle-down economics which enriched a privileged few at d expense of d masses. Under Iweala, d number of "Beggar-thy-Countrymen" increased exponentially wit d richest black man in d world being a Nigerian. Nigeria had d greatest number of private jet owners in Africa but d mass of d people lived in abject poverty - below $1 - $2 a day. Under Iweala our national patrimony was shared among a cabal of govt sponsors in deals dat reeked of corruption & infamy. Good riddance to Iweala who failed woefully as minister & let's hope Buhari keeps to his promise to go after d corrupt. |
Abdulsalami sharing our national patrimony since 1960. ur DISCOs ar a disaster. Let there be light. |
fatdon1:Hahahaha, Let's see how dis woman who superitended over d most massive looting of our national treasury in history will escape jail. Under her watch, our govt corporations, infrastructure etc built over many years & generations & dat should rightly belong to our children & grand children were shamelessly shared within a cabal of govt sponsors in deals dat reek of corruption & infamy. U can do better than having dis great failure as ur role model. HBD |
kibo:In the bid to belittle someone's effort, please learn not to downplay. Both GMB & Asiwaju hav played prominent roles at different times in d history of our nation. While GMB played a prominent role in rescuing Nigeria from d clutches of profligate politicians of d NPN, d Asiwaju was a leading light in rescuing us frm d military & in d struggle 4 democracy. When d history of nigeria is written, d name of both men will be written in gold. Asiwaju, a patriot & frontline member of NADECO played a prominent role in d struggle 4 democracy in Nigeria. Even in dis dispensation he has contributed immensely towards deepening our democracy & breaking d evil strangle-hold dat d so-called largest party in africa, d dysfunctional PDP had on our nation. d nation owes him tons of gratitude. |
Seems more like recycling than change to me. |
Merlissa: Here comes another useless thread appearing on Nairaland to try & re-package & launder d image of dis crooked individual. I pray Buhari lives up to his promise to put criminals like Saraki in gaol where he belongs & at least giv some succour to victims of his Societe General Bank scam. |
It's so sad dat Saraki sold out because of his inordinate ambition & indirectly has given a lifeline to d discredited PDP who were overwhelmingly rejected at d polls by d nigerian people. It is an act of desperation, insubordination, inordinate ambition, villainy & treachery. I pray dat dis signals d beginning of his political problems. #EFCCThings |
Thank God, d medications ar working. d tantrums hav stopped. How i wish other TANoids will keep taking their medications. |
Honour well deserved. Kudos to two action governors. |
Thorough investigation needs to be done. My uncle told me of a similar incidence in d past when Akinyemi was minister. Some maintenance staff of d defunct NITEL who went to perform their duty in his house were accused of theft of his wrist watch. d wrist watch was later discovered somewhere in d house. While not sure it's d same situation, i hope dat d investigating authorities do a thorough job. |
EverestdeBliu: Harbdulrasaq:because s/westerners don't believe in bigoted reasons like this. #SayNoToBigotry |
yhemsy62:Iwealanomics at work - enrich d privileged few & pauperize d masses. |
