Descartes: The majority of those whose constituency projects are more are the principal officers or committee Chairmen in some juicy positions in the National Assembly
Check it out : Osun State : Deputy Speaker who has been fingered by Jubrin in the ongoing scandal rocking the National Assembly. Akwa Ibom state : Minority leader in the state who also might have partook in the budget padding saga.
Borno state : The alleged Bokoharam sympathizer senators who also is a Majority leader in the Senate.
Kwara State : The ultra-corrupt senator Bukola Saraki .
Lagos State : The wife of Ebola Tinubu , Dino concubine who is a committee chairperson on Environment. Also Femi Gbajabiamila who is a majority leader in the Green chamber and among the principal officers that padded the Budget2016
Enugu state : Ike Ekweremadu , APC albatross who is a Deputy Senate president.
Delta state : Leo Ogor who is the minority leader in Green chamber.
Anambra State : My only elegant sister (Adadiorammn, Okwulu Okacha) Stella Oduah and a Seasoned looter Andy Uba .
Bauchi state : The Speaker Dogara who has been indicted for padding the budget of yams.
...and so on
APC is a fraud Other states almost have double what kwara got despite having the senate presidency. However it would have all come to nought even if the planned heist had come through for them.. One of the contenders is Serubawon, Ex gov, serving senator and financial powerhouse, this is a man whose bros Deji Adeleke will come through if his own personal money is not long enough to buy the needed delegates for the primary.... Democracy in this clime is still a buy & sell joke. For South - west represented by Osun state Where as mentioned above the dep. Speaker comes from These is what they intend to do

Politics › Nigerians’ Current Travails Sadden Me, El-rufai by DaudaAbu(op): 12:47pm On Aug 03, 2016 |
Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State on Sunday said he was extremely sad that Nigerians were passing through the worst economic downturn ever witnessed in the history of the nation.
El-Rufai, who spoke in Lagos during the Sunday service of The Latter Rain Assembly, noted that there was no denying the fact that Nigerians were contending with multi-facetted challenges, which were the outcome of the looting of the nation’s resources in the past years.
He, however, believed that the citizens needed to cooperate among themselves and with the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to see the nation through its trying times.
The governor added, “We have always known that there is massive corruption in Nigeria but the revelations of the past one year have shocked even the most pessimistic of critics. Nearly 70 per cent of Nigeria’s oil revenues disappeared without a trace.
“Of course, there must be consequences for that. When we sit down with President Buhari these days, I pity him. I pity him because he has always become President anytime Nigeria is in trouble.
“First, it was after the NPN (National Party of Nigeria) government had almost grounded the economy (in 1984) and now, after a massive looting of the nation’s treasury; and he has to lead the team to fix it.
“But we are working round the clock to fix these problems. With your prayers and the cooperation of Nigerians, we shall surmount these problems.”
El-Rufai argued that Buhari’s strength was also his weakness, explaining that trusting people was a virtue, saying it could become a weakness when one could not come to the reality that only a few people could be trusted.
“President Buhari loves humanity passionately; his strength is that he believes everyone could be trusted, which is also a weakness. When he gives people any assignment, he expects people to carry out the assignment with all honesty. Unfortunately, this is not so all the time as we have seen over time and that’s why I said it is a weakness.
“The President is not a man who has interest in making money for himself or for his friends. Mistakes could be made; only God is perfect,” he added.
El-Rufai attributed his status today as a governor to the advice of the Serving Overseer of The Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, who, he said, invited him to “Buhari’s party,” the CPC (Congress for Progressives Change) in 2011.
He stated, “I already made up my mind never to go into public office after I left office the last time. Pastor Bakare told me that I should not be bitter; that I should forgive anyone who might have offended me and should move on with my life.
“He then invited me to the join Buhari’s party, the CPC, in 2011 and we have continued since then. Today, I’m close to President Buhari because of what Pastor Bakare has done. Today, I’m a governor because of what Pastor Bakare has done. I’m no longer sad; I’ve forgiven everyone; and I’m no longer bitter.
“More importantly, we need the prayers of Nigerians to succeed.”
El-Rufai, a former Minister of Federal Capital Territory, said Nigerians belonged to “one nation under one God,” adding that there should not be any reason to discriminate based on religion. Got it from http://punchng.com/nigerians-current-travails-sadden-says-el-rufai/ |

The bidding for the oil blocks took place four months ago in march, 2016 The Ugandan government has announced that seven oil companies, three from Nigeria, have submitted bids for exploration of oil in the country’s next round of licensing.
In October 2015, the Ugandan government made a public announcement that no fewer than 16 firms had expressed interest in acquiring oil exploration blocks in the country.
According to a recent statement issued by the country’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development, seven bids for oil blocks in Albertine Graben were received.
The firms that submitted bids are: Armour Energy Limited (Australia), WalterSmith Petroman Oil Limited (Nigeria), Oranto Petroleum International Limited (Nigeria), Niger Delta Petroleum Resources Limited (Nigeria), Rift Energy Corporation of Canada, Glint Energy LLC of United States of America and Swala Energy Limited of Australia. http://punchng.com/three-nigerian-firms-bid-for-uganda-oil-wells/ |

UGANDA;Country picks Nigerian, Australian firms for oil licensing round Uganda has picked three Nigerian companies and one from Australia for its oil exploration licensing round, inviting them to negotiate for production sharing agreements, it said on Monday. It announced its first competitive bidding round for six exploration blocks, covering a total of 3,000 square kilometres (1,150 square miles), in February 2015. Bidding documents were issued to 16 oil firms but only seven submitted bids. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development said it selected Nigerian firms WalterSmithPetroman Oil Limited, Oranto Petroleum International, Niger Delta Petroleum Resources and Australia's Armour Energy Limited. The four companies will negotiate for five production sharing agreements (PSAs) covering four blocks. "Negotiations for these PSAs is the final milestone before granting exploration rights," the ministry said in a statement. Issues for negotiation would include exploration work programmes and how the financial proceeds will be shared. Crude oil reserves estimated by government geologists at 3.5 billion barrels were discovered in the Albertine rift basin along Uganda's border with Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in 2006 but production has repeatedly been pushed back. Spats over taxation, disagreements over field development strategies and delays in erecting infrastructure such as the export pipeline agreed with Tanzania in April have all been blamed. The jointly developed pipeline will carry Ugandan crude oil to Tanzania's Indian Ocean port of Tanga for export. The three oil firms already operating in Uganda - London-listed Tullow Oil, France's Total and China's CNOOC - did not participate in this bidding round. https://pulse.ng/business/uganda-country-picks-nigerian-australian-firms-for-oil-licensing-round-id5329563.htm

We should all know that once you've determined your status, half of the peoblem is solved.
If you test negative good. The next thing is to get vaccinated. Every govt hospital/Primary health centres hav the vaccine, though mostly its for children. Because it is among immunization schedule for new born babies. And if you are about to get married and find out one of the partners has it, the one who doesnt have should get vaccinated so you dont infect your partner or children that would come later.
Since its a disease of the liver, i believe anyone you know who has died of liver disease/complication possibly died of hepatitis B. But because we dont go to hospital here and dont do tests, by the time we wait and get really sick before going to hospital the damage haa qlready been done |

Chronic hepatitis Chronic hepatitis is often asymptomatic early on in its course and is detected only by liver laboratory studies for screening purposes or to evaluate non-specific symptoms. As the inflammation progresses, patients can develop constitutional symptoms similar to acute hepatitis including fatigue, nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, and joint pain. Jaundice and icterus can occur as well, but occur much later in the disease process and are typically a sign of advanced disease.Chronic hepatitis interferes with hormonal functions of the liver which can result in acne, hirsutism (abnormal hair growth), and amenorrhea (lack of menstrual period) in women.Extensive damage and scarring of the liver over time defines cirrhosis, a condition in which the liver's ability to function is permanently impeded. This results in jaundice, weight loss, coagulopathy, ascites (abdominal fluid collection), and peripheral edema (leg swelling). Cirrhosis can lead to other life-threatening complications such as hepatic encephalopathy, esophageal varices, hepatorenal syndrome, and liver cancer https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hepatitis |
Health › Re: Hepatitis Is Deadly, Get Tested To Be Sure You Don't Have It. A Must Read. by DaudaAbu(m): 7:42pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
Acute hepatitis Acute viral hepatitis follows a pattern of infection that involves three distinct phases:
The initial prodromal phase (preceding symptoms) involves non-specific and flu-like symptoms common to many acute viral infections. This includes fatigue, nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, joint pain, and headaches.Fever, when present, is most common in cases of hepatitis A and E. Late in this phase, people can experience liver-specific symptoms, including choluria (dark urine) and clay-colored stools.
Clinical jaundice (yellowing of the skin) and icterus (yellowing of the eyes) follow the prodrome after about 1–2 weeks and can last for up to 4 weeks. The non-specific symptoms seen in the prodromal typically resolve by this time, but people will develop an enlarged liver and right upper abdominal pain or discomfort. 10–20% of people will also experience an enlarged spleen, while some people will also experience a mild unintentional weight loss.
The recovery phase is characterized by resolution of the clinical symptoms of hepatitis with persistent elevations in liver lab values and potentially a persistently enlarged liver. All cases of hepatitis A and E are expected to fully resolve after 1–2 months.A majority of hepatitis B cases are also self-limited and will resolve in 3–4 months. Few cases of hepatitis C will resolve completely.
Both drug-induced hepatitis and autoimmune hepatitis can present very similarly to acute viral hepatitis, with slight variations in symptoms depending on the cause. Cases of drug-induced hepatitis can manifest with systemic signs of an allergic reaction including rash, fever, serositis (inflammation of membranes lining certain organs), elevated eosinophils (a type of white blood cell), and suppression of bone marrow activity https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hepatitis |
Health › Re: Hepatitis Is Deadly, Get Tested To Be Sure You Don't Have It. A Must Read. by DaudaAbu(m): 7:36pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
Depending on the cause, hepatitis can manifest either as an acute or as a chronic disease. Acute hepatitis can be self-limiting (resolving on its own), can progress to chronic hepatitis, or can cause acute liver failure in rare instances. Chronic hepatitis may have no symptoms, or may progress over time to fibrosis (scarring of the liver) and cirrhosis (chronic liver failure). Cirrhosis of the liver increases the risk of developing hepatocellular carcinoma (a form of liver cancer). |

Two unidentified Nigerian siblings aged 11 and 10, were rescued in the Mediterranean on Friday after losing their mother while on a dangerous journey to Europe.
The heartbreaking photographs of the boy and girl by Associated Press were published by Dailymail as they sobbed and comforted each other aboard a rescue boat.
According to Dailymail, the children were part of 150 migrants rescued by an NGO’s boat while trying to make the journey from Libya to Europe aboard an overcrowded craft.
A leading migration group had said more than 3,000 people had died while trying to cross the Mediterranean this year, nearly a 60 per cent increase from this time in 2015.
The latest rescue came after Italy on Thursday launched a hard-hitting campaign on the Internet, TV, radio and social media to warn African migrants of the many dangers they face in trying to reach Europe. Got it from http://punchng.com/nigerian-children-rescued-mum-drowns-sea/
