Excel, Tableau, Power bi, MySql, Python data science libraries( pandas, seaborn, matplotlib, plotly etc), then you can move to Machine Learning....i did a little matlab too tho..
There are others i might be forgetting but these are the basics i learnt....
All i'll say is PRACTICE PRACTICE and keep PRACTICING....

@Zabiboy you list is correct but, I will tell him to focus on Python (Pandas, seaborn) and SQL the most. He can pick either Tableau or Power BI since both are visualization tools. Learning both isn't bad. Excel is compulsory. After that, he can start learning Machine learning. That's were the real game is.

What help me is that i focus on programming in holiday and go off when i resume back in school

Currently i have acquired various skills in computer science

1.Data structure
2.OOP
3.backend development using django

Just schedule your time and dont be carried away by programming in school

Let me add to this.
I see no way, learning Programming will affect your studies. Sincerely, I am not too good in academically but, I still maintain my 2.1 to the glory of God. Everything is about planning. Just learn your coding, even if it's 1hour per day, it's okay. I don't know if it's me alone. Learning Programming makes you smarter and be able to think logically. If you find Programming easy, bro your studies will be piece of cake.

I'm a maths student:
I can use python very well(Most Data science library for analysis, visualization and for ML),
use SQL greatly,
Tableau is a cake,

I've been learning data science using python since February last year and I'm very comfortable using python (pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, sklearn and numpy) for data science related stuff. As a matter of fact, I've completed two online internships and two online courses and I've been apply for jobs online but haven't gotten any invitation for interview expect those from fraudsters. I've completed 4 ML projects where I used svm, decisiontree, randomforest and logistic regression with a very high accuracy

Please I'm wondering if anyone could advice where I can apply to in other to secure a job either as an intern or junior data scientist.

I graduated from a State University 2018 from department of Statistics. I started learning DS right from my final year.
